I was going to start SR4+Gat soon but I wasn't sure how many people still played it or even had it yet.
I only have it because GF all but gave it to me. Even with the sales, it was way cheaper getting it from them since I knew it would come with the code for Gat. I just wish my friend would manage to play more than a mission or 2 every few weeks. I might not be done by the time Zimm gets a PS4 either at this rate.

Treasures of Montezuma is everything I hoped. Except for mysterious performance problems. Touch responsiveness and slowdown specifically. This match 3 game is apparently quite taxing on the old vita.

We were having the big family Christmas tonight. It was supposed to be at 7. The lights went out around 5:30 and didn't come back on until 10:30. We ate dinner by candles and flashlights.

The Force Awakens was pretty great--definitely better than Eps. 1-3, but not quite as good as 4-6, though I'm interested to see how Rian Johnson's Ep. 8 looks. BB-8 was probably the best part of the movie.

I'm too lazy to look back at all of the spoiler posts, but were you guys debating about something in the movie?

Not really debating.
There was criticism about the movie following the same plot of ep4 quite a bit (desert planet, death star, robot with the plans, etc..) Critism over when Han died and they flew back in the Falcoln, Leia walked right by Chewy (Han's best friend for what 30+ years?) and instead gave a hug to the girl who knew him for like 2 days.

I think most posters liked the new bad guy at the beginning. I thought him catching a blaster bolt with the force was really cool. As it went further in he felt more like a whiny Anakin-style brat, though. He had absolutely no control over himself and I didn't buy that he'd been a badass Sith for years by the time the movie started. Somebody liked the way he acted, but I forget who.

Funny that all my rarest trophies right now are from the story progression trophies from Minecraft Story Mode.  I do not expect that to last much longer than lunch time tomorrow.

Episode 7 was almost literally episode 4 redone, but fortunately it was done better. Definitely the best in the series, though I'm still not overly anxious for the rest. Kylo turns into a whiny bitch every time his mask comes off, and threw temper tantrums every time it was on. Han dying the way he did was predictable and expected but felt meaningless and unsatisfying overall. What an anticlimatic end for a legend in the lore.

I fully expect Luke to die in a Kylo confrontation during the next film after training Rey, with their final clash wrapping up in the third.

The internet is amusing.
Stupidity is best at a distance.

Sweet the game has locked up six times so far before I can even complete the opening mission, making me replay the whole thing each time.

I agree with just about everything therm said. Especially

it being a remake of episode 4 with some stuff from other movies thrown in. had that conversation with a guy at work yesterday. he is older and was like it was good but I saw the same movie in 77. which if you think about it, it is damn near the same basic plot with the same basic characters. ray is luke, fin is han solo, that x wing pilot is wedge, han solo is like obi wan, particularly with his death and trying to bring the bad guy back around, kylo ren is vader (duh), snoke is the emperor, the star killer planet is the death star, the sequence to blow up the star killer thing is very similar to the first and second death star (trench run from first, shields and stuff from the 2nd one in ep 6). If the title wasnt Star Wars thered be a huge lawsuit for plagarism.

I also hated kylo ren by the end of the movie. His intro was bad ass, catching bolt etc, but turned into a whiney bitch like anakin in prequels, shoulda never took helmet off until the part where he kills han. dude is not a good actor either. the whole bits about him just smacking the shit out of stuff when he was mad was silly as well.

STAR WARS

yeah it was a spot on "remake" of Episode 4 which is why I liked it.  I liked the fact that Ren was a hot head that couldnt control his emotions.  His dad was fighting for the other side and he still hasnt completed his training so he is struggling with the old good v evil fight inside him.

Here's the stream for Stranger of Sword City last night:

http://www.twitch.tv/nisamerica/v/31349022

The font looked odd in the screenshots we'd seen earlier, but they've adjusted it a bit and it looks fine in the stream. The art style is quite nice and the gameplay looks pretty good. Very much a dRPG so it's a niche thing. From what the girl in the stream said, SoSC is pretty hardcore for the genre. There is permadeath.

Got into work a little early today so that I can leave early.  Just looked at the clock to see how much longer it is until lunch and it's barely after when I'd be getting here on a normal day.  fuck me.

I'll pretty much be done working after noon today. Go home to take the dog out on lunch, then I have to pick my grandpa up from the airport around 2. In theory I'll be coming back to work after that, but there's maybe 3% chance I actually accomplish something after all that.

There's 9 people in the office at 9am.  Yeah I'm not gonna get much done.

Maybe even do some lunchtime Vita!

Also someone should stream.

Another free universal Redbox code today, GAMEON, unfortunately it only works on games this time, not movies. You could use it to try Deadpool on PS4 pharm as I believe redbox stocks it. You have to use the code through the app or website.

I was thinking I would head out at lunch and get a couple growlers so I can stay sane during all the family togetherness this weekend. Unfortunately, the weather really sucks and is all rainy and nasty. I might just have to drink whatever is already in the beer fridge. A fresh growler of Alpine Nelson though...

The last one only worked on games too. I tried to use it on a BluRay and it said it was for games only. Fortunately it turned out I had an anniversary credit or something that worked on anything.

Went to Angry Orchard this weekend and saw some people getting growlers. First time I ever saw them fill the bottle with CO2 or whatever it is and I had to ask what they were doing. Felt like such a noob!

My status meeting tomorrow thankfully was canceled, so I'm not on the hook for much. I do have to get a little bit of work done before I leave tomorrow but mostly I'm going to screw around. We have half a day off tomorrow. Then I'm taking off between xmas and new years, but it's going to be busy with lots of family stuff.
