Someone said they sucked live, but me and a couple others said they are awesome. I saw them about a month ago and they were good. If you go to just hear the hits, you will enjoy it as they seem to keep their setlist pretty safe. Also I have their upcoming "white album" preordered on all white vinyl, coming out April 1

If they didnt fuck up my order I just saved over $70 a month downgrading my cable with Verizon.  Same internet 50/50 but with custom tv package where i just get local tv channels, some basic cable channels like Food and AMC and then two tv packs.  I picked Sports (all ESPN, NFL net and a few others) and Kids for all the kid networks.  No fee to switch either even though i had a few months left on an old contract.

Feels good.  Until I see my bill and they fuck ed it up somehow.

mike you do market stuff right? why the fuck is the market losing its shit cause crude is dropping? cheap gas is a good thing right?

I get that the crude drop hurts energy companies profits, but it should be a net positive for the rest of the market youd think.

I had just checked. They claim I qualify for some great deal even though I have 10 months left on a 24 month contract. Best I can do is $10 more a month for faster Internet (50/50 instead of 25/25) however that is only for 12 months. Then my rate jumps way up for the last 12 months. Gee where do I sign? There is an option to extend my existing deal but that doesn't seem to work.

I have really kick ass deal now for Preferred, 25/25 and phone. Doubt I will get that in 10 months. Might have to switch to Cable for a couple months which is a PIA so I can then qualify for new customer pricing (and maybe a $300-$400 GC).

Crazy the dance they make us go through. When I quit the last time the woman at the Verizon Store said next time call or stop in first she can usually do better then the people on the toll free line.

You and I like cheap gas. But its terrible for a lot of American companies that dig it up, refine and distribute it. The Saudis are trying to corner the market I guess. We have a glut of oil. But I dont know the details. I work at a bank and know some things but I am not a broker or anything.

 
I havent split my 401K yet with the wife either, and it says she gets to share in appreciation or depreciation of the asset since we set the date way back in Jan of 2015.  I lost some the last year and now a lot more this last month.  But so has she!  lol.  I dont even care since I will be dead before I can retire anyway.

You might check again. Instead of taking the offer to pay more for faster service, click the more bundles option or whatever it is. Uncheck TV if you don't want it, and then pick 50/50 internet. We have internet plus phone. Doing it that way it's $7.xx cheaper a month for faster service and for the full 24 months. Yeah, this makes no sense whatsoever.

last night I watched tyler play some of that geometry wars clone with the objectives and it looks pretty sweet. Do the ship abilities ever change?

Downloaded it, but only before going to bed after already playing so that I could sync trophies.

Looks like i messed up and punished one of the pair of shades. I was supposed to absolve both to get the trophy. Thankfully it's in the first quarter of the game which I have to replay anyway to finish maxing out the Holy and Unholy paths. Got the Fraud trials and the final boss to go in the 1st playthrough.

Well let me tell you, the pictures on the box are mighty pretty.

My PS4 has been full, so I only cleared out some space and downloaded the lego dimensions update late-ish last night. Might end up playing it this evening since the trailer looked pretty cool.

I did open the Cyberman pack though. I was surprised that the cyberman head is one custom piece instead of an all black head piece with a helmet on top. He looks awesome though.

Yeah I tried it several times over the last couple weeks. It always is at least $10 a month MORE then I am paying now for the first 12. And a LOT more for the last 12.

I think the issue is I am not getting as many discounts and the big ones are only 12 months and not 24 like I currently have.

I really don't want to switch back to Cable but if I had to get the best deal I probably will. Just a hassle since I don't have Ethernet run to each room in the house and am using MoCA adapters. None of that will worth with cable. But I would only switch for a couple of months.

Drakengard 3 is annoying the crap out of me. The last ending branch has a super stupid spike in difficulty for some reason. It's still not hard, but they ramped it up enough to make enemies annoying.
 
Jimbo, start a chat and ask about switching or canceling service.  Ask if there is a fee to cancel and how much.  Then say what you want and ask how much?  Thats what I did and they did it all over chat.  I always thought you had to call but maybe since I said I was canceling or wanting to dpwngrade and asked about the fee they decided they could do whatever to keep me.

I was ready to just cancel and switch to cable or even Satellite for a bit just to get the better deal later to go back to Verizon..  As you said its a hassle but sometimes we have to do the old song and dance.

Looks like the CAG code update added embedding for Soundcloud...that's nice.

I also see a Twitter button in the posting box tools now that when I click it, brings up a host of other embedding options, including Flickr slideshows, podcasts, and twitch chats (!)

I will give that a go when I am closer to the end of my 2 year contract. Just saw the notice that I qualify for a great deal even though I am still in a contract and figured I would lock it in. Even for $10 more (but upgrading to 50/50) would haven fine. But their great deal like most of their deals sucks.

In the the past the people on the toll free line didn't give a shit though when I called. They wanted to charge me $30 more for less. I knew I was moving I couldn't commit to a 2 year deal since lots of areas around here can't get FiOS.

Recently I found chatting on the Android App for tech support was actually more productive then calling in. So maybe they don't have the entry level retards respond to the phone Apps and web chats.

must be all those updates/upgrades to the forum software that Cheapy was too lazy to have installed? Do updates to forum software cost money?

 
I'd like to maybe go back to Comcast for faster internet, but I'm never going back to cable.

All of the hassle with switching, and then the price that's offered is never actually how it appears on your bill. It's maddening.
