PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Jimbo, you do know the fee for canceling Verizon is prorated too right?  It starts at $240 but drops $10 a month or something.  Mine was until October this year and my fee was supposed to be $90 to cancel.  If its a lot cheaper at cable or somewhere else it pays to move and pay the $90.

Interesting. We are November this year.

I am paying like $107 for 1 cable box (really need to return this do NOT use), 2 cable cards (for Tivo) 25/25 and Preferred TV. There was an additional discounts since the house already had FiOS and I think even got another discount by not taking the Visa GC. We ended up with a small Amazon GC rewards / referral program anyway.

Even if cable could match or slightly beat it wouldn't be by much and I like FiOS better. I am lucky though our cable company is decent compared to most others and doesn't have caps. They tried to get me to switch a few times already.

Yeah haven't seen much of anything aside from the more mass produced stuff in my area. So far I've only tried Angry Orchard Crisp Apple, Angry Orchard Green Apple, and Woodchuck Amber. The Angry Orchard stuff is good, just a tad too sweet. Liked the Woodchuck a good bit. Thought maybe Angry Orchard's Hop'n Mad Apple might have some hop bitterness to balance out the sweetness a little.
I think this one is pretty good....

I really don't want to switch back to Cable but if I had to get the best deal I probably will. Just a hassle since I don't have Ethernet run to each room in the house and am using MoCA adapters. None of that will worth with cable. But I would only switch for a couple of months.
Most cable CPEs have built in MOCA these days. Why do you think it won't work?

I guess they figured since it made a ton of money in December, why not try it again. Ep. VIII moved from May, 2017 -> December, 2017. So an extra wait of 7 months.

Aren't they using different frequencies / bands? I am pretty sure I would have to buy different ones to work with Cable no?

Just got these two not to long ago and am only really using one right now. The other is hooked up in the basement but not really in use.

I guess I missed the cider stuff or just forgot to reply.  I like Ace Pear Cider.  It is dryer than most of the apple ciders I have had but yet seems to have more fruit flavors in it at the same time.  I know it is in GA, but is distributed by Savannah.  So it would probably only be at places like where you got the Founder's stuff.

I did not think they were locked down like that, but you might be right. I thought MoCA negotiated the frequency with whoever was the master device, but I readily admit to knowing just enough about it to be dangerous.

Didnt even know these moca adapters were a thing.

Glad I got my first house and this second house we're building with ethernet ran through it.

I've seen Ace in a lot of liquor stores up here, more recently because of the cider boom. Was the wife's favorite cider so I was looking for it a lot.

I am too old/fat to climb around attics anymore. The previous owner already had the Coax cable run on the outside the house (vs inside walls) to the master bedroom, living room and one guest bedroom. No easy way to pull Ethernet now.

I can't recall if the basement had a working coax cable or not. One face plate was dead for sure. Luckily it already had some wires coming in from the outside so the Verizon guy was able to push a coax cable in through there.

If I was 20 years younger I would have already snaked Ethernet and Coax but really for my needs the MoCA adapters are much easier and less chance of me damaging the house or myself.

But yeah if I was to have a house built it would have real Ethernet and either fiber or a way to easily pull it later (conduit).

Without CAG, I went through some of my backlog and ended up deleting the following games:

Deblob 2 - Too many prompts, too easy, and doesn't keep my attention to continue with it.

Call of Duty Classic - I can ignore the occasional dark environments and some graphical glitches. But I can't ignore this part where I have to shoot airplanes while they are on the runway and in the air

... and kill people shooting at me AT THE SAME TIME. It also doesn't help when you destroy an airplane, it leaves a smoke trail that makes it even harder to find objects on the screen. Call of Poopy classic.    Now I can finally move on to the Black Ops series.

Dungeon Siege III - "Let's go to the Chapterhouse"  Let's go to the trashcan. Not my kind of game whatsoever. NEXT.

Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel -  Bad controls, forgettable characters. I almost typed "Just Cause Two" by accident (also part of the backlog).

These were all on Xbox and I managed to save 5 GB on my hard drive.  Next game I'll try is Guardian Heroes.
