PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

I'm not that far into Ni no Kuni yet. I've knocked out all the errands in the first town and am just past where you get the 3rd familiar. Gravity Rush is sucking me in so I've been a bit distracted. Ni no Kuni is really good, too, but a lot slower and it has that quality like the Ghibli movies that it makes me a bit sleepy for some reason.

Gotta wonder how Peyton is gonna look back on this though...yes he walks off with a ring but he also walks off knowing that he had one of the worst QB performances for a SB champ ever.
I would think he will feel fine about it. If anything, I'm sure he feels relief that it didnt all have to be on his shoulders because at this stage, he couldn't handle it. In the end he has a ring. That will be the lasting memory. He's had a long career and has had many good and bad games. There's many times where he has had to bail out his defense for playing poorly. Now as his retirement gift, the defense bailed *him* out.

If they would have lost, the spotlight would have shown bright on his sad performance. But now, its just about the sheriff able to ride into the sunset with another ring and a collective pat on the back for a great career.

Even I gotta admit, that was great.

Well done.

Wow, Destructoid gave Unravel a perfect score: http://www.destructoid.com/review-unravel-339641.phtml

10/10

Unravel cherishes the best moments in life while recognizing the hard battles we sometimes face as families, all wrapped up within delightful gameplay and stunning scenery. The atmosphere is so compelling that I couldn’t help but feel like a piece of my own story was wrapped up in the game with the rest of the photo album. It’s rare but a special thing when a game manages to impart a story that touches strings deep in the heart, and Unravel manages to meet and exceed this feat. Get ready to have all the feels.
Gamespot didn't like it as much: http://www.gamespot.com/reviews/unravel-review/1900-6416352/

7/10

Such musical highs and lows are ideal for this storybook adventure; the tale of a doll brought to life who restores the faded memories of his owner. Unravel’s wonderful sights and sounds won’t escape your own memory so soon. But assessed purely on gameplay, it’s everything I tend to fear about indie projects; Beautiful, heartfelt, but like Yarny himself, not robust enough.
IGN liked it a bit more: http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/02/08/unravel-review

8.3/10

Unravel took me on a surprisingly thoughtful and reflective journey, which encouraged me to appreciate the small and the insignificant with every step. As a puzzler it has charm due to Yarny’s engaging skills, but as a platforming experience it’s less remarkable. But to judge it solely on these mechanical aspects would be to overlook its greater achievement: the way it provokes subtle and complex emotions through the use of nature and nostalgia. It all makes for a sincere, warm-hearted, and extremely likeable adventure.

Saw this place for the first time in person. I think it was this thread that it was mentioned how much this sign looks like Gamestop's sign.

Anyways... Happy Monday.

Walking through security, right behind me was a 30ish blonde woman all decked out in Panthers gear. She was balling her eyes out, wiping away the tears. I think getting to the airport seeing lots of Broncos fans all dressed up too opened a fresh wound. I felt so bad. Can't stand seeing women cry. And she had no one with her.

But then I got in line to buy a 5 dollar Starbucks and felt better.

Oh, and seeing him go for the ball at first, then hop backwards to avoid the lineman, but consequently taking himself out of position to even have a chance at the ball, and then a final token jump down to the ball has to be a really crotch shot to Panther fans near and far.

You should've "comforted" her in the airport bathroom

Alright, whoever is fine with me. You guys just let me know which of you wants to take the time to do it.
Let me know what night and time works best for you and I'll help out. If you want to knock out that trophy tonight, I can help at starting at 9pm EST.

Yeah guys it looks like Vig and I are the only ones that don't actually have it, so no need for you all to waste your time. Thanks though.

Vig I'll shoot you a pm.

fyi - if you're still sitting on diablo 3 ps4 the value has rebounded from black friday with used copies going for ~$25.  otherwise the tiv at gs/amz is $17.  the tiv at hastings (screw you mitch) is of course like $28 or something.

Uh oh. This is pretty much my doomsday scenario for me. Plane is so small I had to leave the terminal and walk to it.

I cant believe you have never flown on a prop plane before. I guess you have never flown into any smaller cities from a hub before.

Since Gainesville was such a small airport it was always turbo props except for one actual jet to Atlanta a day and it was a small one. I think now they supposedly have one a day to Miami as well. When I went to Ottawa for work in the late 90s I was on a prop plane from La Guardia.

There are a ton of destinations that are prop only from Atlanta due to them being small airports in smaller towns.

(Not trying to get on your case, just been thinking about this show lately)

it seems like no matter where I fly I always end up routing through atlanta and getting on one of those planes.  I don't mind em, but I bet I would if I had nerves about flying.

I think I've been on a prop plane only twice (I think).  From Portland, ME to Boston and from Eau Claire, WI to Minneapolis.  Both for connecting flights.  I didn't die either time.  You'll be fine Nightmare.

But watch out for birds.

How's Ultimax? Looks like it didn't take you long to knock out the online stuff.
it's the same as p4a with shadow characters and a couple newish mechanics. it's definitely a fun fighting game but right now it's mostly just trophy fodder while I continue working my way through these long, drip feed trophy games (ffx-2, hot shots golf, ni no kuni). it looks like the plat might be possible though vs the original p4a which is neat so I might go back for it later.

I really need to get through some of my fighting game backlog. I've got both P4A games plus a bunch of others--probably around 10 between Vita and PS3. Might do one this month. I don't think Gravity Rush will take me too long to knock out and I'll need something to play opposite Ni no Kuni for when I'm starting to get sleepy.
