PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Ni No Kuni players:

Which familiars that you can get early on are worth holding onto/leveling?  I just got the ability to tame them and

completed the volcano

So I'm taming everything I come across, just not sure which ones are worth investing some time/exp into.

Also, note that the Critics Sale or whatever it's called - those games earn 3x rewards points. So, for example, Axiom Verge. Not the PS+ sale items, though.

Man, are you guys getting a commission for Axiom Verge sales or what?

EDIT:  I do really want to buy it as I am sure I will like it.  The music sounded kick ass from all the videos I watched and I like metroidvania stuff but my backlog just wont let me buy it until sub $5!

I'm almost at the end and I kept Esther's starting familiar, mitey for Oliver, and gave Swaine a Tin-Man(you'll get to him soon.) The tin-man isn't much different than Swaine's starter,(they're both tanks) I just liked him. I've never needed anything else. I just use the other slots to level up other familiars to morph for the 250 familiars trophy.

To make your side questing easier, try and grab the banana bunch looking thing and the little purple turban thing early. And the sunshine. Without evolving them.

That said, I'm actually using the little turban dude. He's pretty cool so far, and comes in handy once you get to the metal monsters (water monsters too I'd assume, but I wasn't using him then). Don't rely too much on the fire guys, one of the next areas involves a ship, so you get a bunch of water monsters to fight then.

I got rid of the fire poop thowing monkey and the fire ghost looking thing pretty early. Seemed pretty lame. I had terrible luck with getting anything to be tamed early on, so I skipped a lot of those in general not sure if there's any other stand out monsters other than the turban guy. Tried the lampshade thing and it didn't seem that great either.

Cool, thanks.
It's good that I can just roll with the starting ones. I've been using the lemur and the sprite that you get during the story almost exclusively since I've gotten them. The sprite's water bomb rips through the enemies with fire signs, and the lemur's physical attack power seems to be the best of the bunch that I have.

Thanks, I actually did manage to capture one of each last night, so I'll be sure to keep them on hand.

Damn. Mine expire 3/31/16 as well. 243 points...so if I go for that $15 back on $100 that'll bump me to 543. I'll hold off, I guess. Probably forget to use the damn things, though.

I played  Hitman Go on mobile when it first came out. It was okay but the mechanic got old pretty quick.

I paid $0.99 for it on the Google Play store, where's my cross buy?

wait, so for Guns, Gore and Cannoli you can play on easy and then switch the difficulty at the last second on the final boss to get the higher difficulties trophies.  And its $4.99?  INSTABUY BITCHES!

Well the good news is that I had 481 points expiring next month so I grabbed a $10 code as well.

The bad news is while checking my email for my login info I found a $15 Dell GC that expired yesterday :wall:

Dearest Witcher 3,

You seem to be a good price @ $24.99 with 80+ hours of gameplay but with 80+ hours of gameplay you just don't fit into my limited schedule for gaming. I keep telling work I need one week off every month for gamecations but they aren't budging. As always I'm conflicted on plunking down the $$$ for something I will take pride of having in my vast gaming library but feel as though you will merely sit idle as I overlook you for shorter flasher games that won't take me until 2018 to complete. I'm not sure how to overcome this mental obstacle but you and I both know that I'll most likely cave and buy you anyway.

Sincerely,

jkam

I forgot all about the saga of the PSN Spacebucks card from Sony Rewards.  I'm gonna have to wait a week before I see that $10 aren't I?

My Sony Rewards came right away. I can't remember but it might just be buried some where in your actual confirmation screen. It definitely used to be.

Holy shit is this article poorly written and editted. So many typos and double words and apostrophe placement and garbled grammer and repeating statements/ideas. Our good friend Paul would have a field day with this.

Though I agree with him that Superman: Red Son is really awesome and a good read for comic fans.

"We see so many stories pull twists on the tried and true, but rarely will you ever see a twist like this. In a twist of fate, Superman in Red Son becomes a Comrade of Order and Perfection, instead of the hero of freedom and justice, and this twist as great as you may think it is. Superman: Red Son is a graphic novel released in 2004 (so yeah, not new in any way, sorry bout that) that is a twist of the classic tale of Superman"

I think that comic may feature a twist of some type.
