Sopranos by a billion miles.

Sopranos certainly has its flaws, all shows do, but it's still great, probably my favorite drama ever. Saying Sopranos is your favorite is like saying Super Mario Bros is your favorite video game, some of it has to do with how influential it was on the things that came after it. But I still think Sopranos is my favorite regardless. A lot of people think The Wire is better (I don't) and a lot of people think Breaking Bad is better (I don't).

Sons of Anarchy is decent fun entertainment but thats about it. It also basically has a full season that's entirely skippable.

We went many, many years ago when the oldest was just 2 or 3. We saw everyone playing with the wands but the kids were to little for it. This time will be different.

I think Sopranos first episode is excellent, I love that car chase where Tony and Chris are chasing down that dude on foot. Sets the tone perfectly for the show. Next few episodes are fairly slow but the 5th episode, College, is really good.

I think there's only 7 seasons of Sopranos.

I remember liking Breaking Bad's first episode, but the first season over all was pretty dull. The big event of the season just took so fucking long to unfurl.

 
I like that show The Shield almost as much as The Wire and more than Sopranos. Deadwood was great but ended prematurely. Breaking Bad was also top notch and Fargo is the best show that's currently on TV. 

Check out The Shield if you haven't already, that shit is dope as hell. Vic Mackey is one of the best characters I can recall. I like TV and movies a lot, I could go on and on about this shit

First two seasons of The Shield are amazing. I need to watch the rest.

BB first season was a bit hard for me to watch. Walt is such a pathetic loser and his life is just so shitty that I don't enjoy it. The scenes where he's badass and interesting aren't frequent enough. You can tell where it's going but you definitely have to wait for it. Need to watch more but it's hard to get into the mood especially knowing where the show ends up going.

Walt is trying to get back into the good graces with Skyler (Anna Gunn) and trying to get her to approve of him and move back into the house. He brings over this enormous pizza. She rejects both him and the pizza and he walks away in frustration and disgust. And he just throws the pizza up in the air to get rid of it and it lands on the roof. Well, we had a long discussion about it. This was an enormous pizza. You had to hold the box with two arms. I couldn’t possibly do it with one because it’s huge. I told the director I have to be this far from the roof while doing this because I couldn’t look at the roof. Walt’s not trying to throw a pizza on the roof. He’s throwing it out of frustration and it lands on the roof and he’s not even aware of it. So I actually do this. It lands in precisely the perfect spot on the very first take. I didn’t see it land because I’m not looking up there, I jump in the car and pull out and speed away. But when I come back and drive up with the car, I look up and I see the pizza perfectly placed in front of the camera on the roof. You’re kidding? It couldn’t have been more perfect and then our director says, “Let’s do a second take!” And I said, “We can’t do this again! There is no second take! It’s done!”

So flash forward to today: the lovely people who own that house where we shoot the exteriors, they will have, from time to time, someone who will take pictures in front of the White house. They get the address from somewhere. Several people have come with pizzas and they ask if they can put this pizza up to take pictures? And they say, “Go ahead.” They’re very nice people.

SoA also has some pretty dreadful acting in parts. It was pretty entertaining for the first three seasons or so, though. But yup, show went to shit.

And fuck them for what they did to Lem.

 
That pizza in breaking bad was classic. You just knew that was dumb luck cause you couldn't try to do that 100 times and have the pizza do that.

Yeah. Hopefully they retire 25 for him at some point. I think he deserves it.

Francouer should be a decent bat off the bench, but his defense looked beyond horrible in Philly last year. Man, I remember being so hyped when he came up. He looked like he was gonna be a superstar, but then he just fell off. I'm glad he stuck with it, though. He's still only 32. It seems like he should be older. Maybe he can get it going again with the Braves.

Reading over the co-op play it seems pretty lame for that right? I have about half the trophies and want to go back to it. A friend is looking for something we can play co-op. He isn't a trophy hunter (recently got a PS4 after being on 360 last gen).

Seems like it wouldn't be worth it for him? Or is it fun enough even though you can't really play the main missions together.

Probably grab this either way since I missed the PSN sale last week.

Hulu is to network tv as netflix is to hbo.

Id never pay for hulu, just get an antenna and an OTA dvr box, good to go. Netflix is worth it for all the movies and original shows, same as HBO.

Yeah the Far Cry co-op is pretty worthless and good luck finding anyone for the MP now. Definitely would have to boost that.
 
Yea the coop in fc4 is pretty lame, only played it long enough to get the trophies. kanamit/george helped me, he was awesome and helped get the mp trophies too, they are not hard to get, just hard as shit to get a full lobby to start mp and then hope and pray people dont disconnect so you can finish a match.

All that said, I still have it so can help boost if needed if you get it. Pretty sure george would be down to help too if he still has it.

Speaking of that, what happened with the defend event last night? I did a mission right before bed and then tried to check this morning while getting ready for work and was having all kinds of connection issues so I never saw the recap for it.

I do pretty dumb stuff for trophies but I don't want to fuck up other people's experience. and I don't want to end up in some invisible tier with all the lameass ragequitters although I'd probably get more wins that way. I'm at ~1200 LP and I think I'm pretty well stuck until I get better. I guess I'm in it for the long haul.

My windows were up. It was 40 degrees here this morning. I guess I could have also shut the heater off and had my kid freeze to avoid having it pulled into the car.

Regardless, others should not be required to find a way to deal with it. If you want to smoke, fine. I really do not care what people do to themselves. Be considerate about people who do not want to breathe that shit in.

Don't get me wrong I agree. Yeah you're pretty fucked if it's cold, if you're running the ac you can turn it on circulate to keep outside air from coming in. Always wondered what was different about heating systems in cars that won't allow you to circulate inside air. Maybe it needs to pull in outside air to keep it from getting too hot, idk.
