PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

I need to give Breaking Bad one more watch through. It's not exactly a fun show that I'd be excited to rewatch though. Even shows like Sopranos are significantly more "fun" than Breaking Bad.

We tried watching Breaking Bad, but only made it a few episodes in. I thought the premise was pretty dumb. Didn't buy that he'd do what he did at all. And the bathtub stuff was over the top gross. I do mean to give it another chance some day because it does get such accolades.
The first episode is censored on Netflix. Not sure why, but they took out Skylar giving him a handjob for his birthday while she's also getting all excited about winning an eBay auction. It was an odd thing to remove. Not sure if there were any other differences.

I remember watching the first Breaking Bad episode when it was first aired and kind of enjoyed it, but I never followed after that.  When friends and family and I guess the rest of the world loved it I told myself I'd have to watch more episodes someday. Walter White is a great character but I really thought most of the cast were uninteresting, especially his family.

I didn't watch the show steadily though from the start so maybe that makes a difference.

I watched the first few episodes of Breaking Bad but didn't continue also at first.  Then wife wanted to watch so we knocked out the series in a month or two.  So glad I stuck with it because it's amazing.  Once you get past the first few episodes it really picks up.  Not to say cool stuff didn't happen in those first few, but overall the shows were more engaging later on.

The Lady hasn't watched it at all yet so I look forward to re-watching with her.

I started watching breaking bad a few years after it started.  I tried binge watching to catch up and I could only get through a few episodes at a time,  It just gets too dark sometimes.  But I did like it a lot.

I also liked mad men despite all the boring stuff.  I think all of that just disappeared from my memory and I can only remember the good stuff.  Pete was a dick though.  I only kind of got more sympathetic to him at the very very end.  But other than that, he was just an entitled crybaby always thinking that he deserved to get all the wins.

Twin-stick controlled arena shooter. Online and local coop (including mixed). Can play with PC players too. Square Heroes:

This game or its predecessor was on XBLIG on 360. I remember owning it.

Awesome. I'm probably one of the few people here who enjoyed RE6 for what it was (an OK action-shooter, a sucky Resident Evil).

I thought it was a blast in co op. I didn't care that it was a bad RE game as I've never liked RE. Silent Hill was always the way to go.

Yeah Breaking Bad was hella slow in the beginning. Turned out to be probably my favorite show of all time though. And Skylar was an annoying bitch, should've put her in that damn bathtub.

Hey PapiChullo, are you going to the Big Gigantic show at Echostage? I remember you said you were all about them and some of my friends really like them so I'm sure they're going, but I'm on the fence.

Honestly a lot of you have a problem finishing shows because you spread yourselves so thin by watching 5 different series at a time and switching games a lot.  You just get lost in other things and lose interest/forget about it.

I focus on one show at a time now and play a couple games and thats it.  Just makes everything simpler.

I do the same thing. If a show has like 10 seasons or some shit we'll usually take a break after 3 seasons or so though. Just to keep from getting burnt out.

A busty topless woman was also censored out of the first episode.

Eh. I quit watching shows because they turn to shit, generally. Like Grimm, Arrow, The Flash, Sleepy Hollow, Castle, etc.. All great examples of terrible writing that caused me to walk away. Others just aren't to my taste, like I could not get into Sopranos at all and didn't even finish the first episode--not my kind of thing.

I can't think of a single series I quit watching that I was enjoying right at that moment. There's a few that I finished seasons of and intend to get back to eventually (Law and Order: Criminal Intent, CSI, ER) but that's not lack of time just lack of current interest.

Speaking of TV shows...anybody else watching Lucifer? How do you like it?

I think what's on Netflix is what originally aired on AMC. On the DVD I'm pretty sure they call it an extended pilot or something which has that scene and the nice set of cans Vig mentioned.

If the price is real $16 with GCU means I'll grab them lol.
Or $12 on Amazon with double-stacking Prime preorder discount.

Speaking of which, the page for Shiren (Vita) now shows the Prime discount, but my order still hasn't updated. Here's hoping.

I was reading somewhere that Breaking Bad pilot was more targeted at HBO. Not sure if it's true but I just read it somewhere.
I think the entire first season was intended for HBO, as there's more F-bombs and questionable content (e.g., the aforementioned handjob and toplessness, Jesse and a prostitute about to get busy before the scene changes) compared to later seasons.

It's not great, but it's certainly not any worse than the awful midwest states some of you guys live in. My post was more about how functioning adults should be able to understand how time zones work.
Nobody gives a shit about the fly over States. Left and right coast is where it is at.

Seriously though it is amazing how hard it is for some people to deal with timezones.

Same here, I also do this so it doesn't feel like. "okay, same thing tonight as last night. watch X then go to sleep."

Never watched Breaking Bad, Mad Men, The Wire, or any other critically acclaimed show! They're on my list to eventually watch.... in 15 years when all the kids are out of the house I'll have them streamed directly to my frontal cortex.

That cool looking Superhot game released for X1 and PC today, hopefully PS4 is down the line. Getting pretty good reviews.

Yeah, buddy! I try to see them any time they are in DC or Baltimore. If you like their music and haven't been to a show yet, I definitely recommend it. They're even better live, it'll be a fun time. Let me know if you end up going, I'll buy you an overpriced concert beer! lol

That Far Cry 4 bundle is sold out on Amazon.  Probably for the best.  Not sure I would be into the other game.  I can wait on Far Cry 4 to be around $10.

News just came out saying not true. He just signed with the Cubs.
Well, he had agreed to a deal with the O's but then went back and demanded an opt-out after one year. They refused, and I don't blame them. He's not good enough to lose their first round draft pick for just one season of Dexter Fowler.

Yeah guys you can quit shows you don't like. We get it. The point is if you are watching multiple series at the same time your going to have a favorite and because of that and time constraints you may quit the other show even though it was good and might have gotten better. Or you just put it off to watch the other show then you never go back.

Missed the SOA, Breaking Bad, Mad Men convo.

Watching Sons now, and I have enjoyed it, just finished season 6.  It's entertaining, but there are definitely some parts that are beyond the scope of reality.  I also agree that season 3 was absolute trash.  The deaths definitely get more gruesome as seasons go by though.

I binged Breaking Bad two years ago, and I actually was bored of it for about 3 1/2 seasons, but the last 2 1/2 were some of the best television I've ever seen.

Enjoyed Mad Men a lot early on, seemed to get a little boring towards the end.  But all in all a really good show.  Agree that Pete is the best character, and the business scenes are the best parts of that show.

I kinda liked it in the beginning, but it's shtick is starting to get old as it's basically the same episode over and over. Lucifer acts to varying degrees of assholeness as the lady cop spends the whole episode being varying degrees of exasperated due to said assholitude. None of the cases of the week are that inventive and there is very little of a serialized through-line to keep you invested long term. The guy who they got to play Lucifier is great though and is the only reason I am sticking with it for a little longer to see if the writing improves.

Yeah, I'm pretty much on the same page there. With what happened this week I'm hoping things will steady out a bit and Lucifer will calm down. I'm curious where they're intending to take the story because it's a pretty big departure from the comic.

Did nobody here get primal? Havent seen it mentioned or in anybodys card.
I've played a few hours. It's cool. I was kind of burnt out after 4 since it played exactly the same as 3, but the more primitive weapon set makes for a nice change of pace. The fact that you can run out of your weapons (limited arrows, clubs/spears break) means your switching up your tactics as you run out of stuff. Haven't tamed any animals yet, but looking forward to it. I wonder what weapon I eventually unlock that is supposed to take down a mammoth. Spent some time stabbing one in the face with a spear yesterday and it didn't go well.

If you want a supernatural power + police procedural combo to fill the Grimm void you should check out iZombie as that has been consistently enjoyable since the first episode.

Has cherry vanilla Pepsi been out long? Just spotted it while grocery shopping and grabbed some. It's pretty tasty, just starts to get a cough-syrupy aftertaste towards the end of the can.

had it a while ago, but rarely see it anywhere. its like cherry vanilla dr pepper. love it, but i rarely see it. only the shitty diet version.

and I hate dr pepper otherwise but love the cherry vanilla.

I watched the first handful of episodes and found it annoying in the same way that Veronica Mars is annoying. The character quirk she gets in every episode is always embarrassing to watch and her relationship stuff with both the ex and the bad guy just completely kills my interest.

I really liked the concept and the main 3 actors, but the execution was just not something I enjoyed.
