PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Yea my laptop is pretty old, its a windows 7 laptop originally but runs win 10 now. The specs they give on the sony site to run it are way over stated I think. I have to do 540p on the res but still looks ok and is smooth. Pretty sure that is a limit on my laptop and not the speed of the remote play, it will work and wont ever show the connection symbol like its about to lose the connection, but choppy as fuck on 720p. I also do it over a wire connection.

Its the same experience as the ps tv remote play, but nice to be able to sit on the couch and use it while having tv going in the background. Wife is watching a god awful hallmark movie while the kid naps on her.
I liked it better than the PSTV actually. PSTV for some reason seems to give me a ton of input lag that makes something like Destiny super hard to play. I didn't have that issue at all with the PC app.

PC remote play is interesting and something I never thought of. I was thinking I may need a cheap laptop for other things. What would you guys rrcommend?

Are Chromebooks still a thing? I'm more interested in speed of turning on and not having to worry about running my own anti virus than having any special applications.
I love my Chromebook for exactly those two reasons.

Yeah, the remote play app is Mac and Windows. Chromebooks won't work for that.

I just tried it on our old lethargic Mac mini and there's some lag, but it plays smooth. Still there was enough lag that I wasn't doing great at Enter the Gungeon. I'm sure it will work a lot better on our MacBook Air but haven't tried it there yet.

Hockey is exciting to watch but it regularly feels like luck plays a lot bigger part in hockey than it does in other major sports. Talent seems far less important when compared to football baseball basketball and soccer.

Crazy did you have any luck with RSD?

Guess what?

I got a green Jah tape and 1 vinyl. It was limit to 1 each. The vinyls went pretty quick.
Ended up with phish-hoist, white stripes-peel sessions, and an alanis Morissette one for the gf. Only sublime I came across was a couple of the cassettes. I would have grabbed one if they were the green, but they weren't. Ill probably just grab a standard sublime vinyl off the Internets at some point, if you didn't find any extra greens.

I agree with this, but I can't get into NBA basketball at all. College can be fun to watch, though.

Hockey is probably the best sport to watch live. Hearing all the hits and the puck getting slapped around and everything is completely lost when watching it on tv. Not having a local NHL team makes it a bit harder to follow the sport anyways. I like going to Badger hockey games though.

Crunchewy is still busy trying to figure out how to plug his Sony Nintendo Box in.

Get it? Because he's old and thats what old people say.

Are we at 10,000 for this one yet?
I was going to go with 'his decrypt old man fingers can't stay on the trigger very long anyways so he probably didn't notice'. glad you took care of it though, I've been busy today!

Record store was packed today, didn't really find anything of note, but I did end up grabbing the Weeknd Hills remixes, and the star wars picture vinyl.

Dare I recommend a MacBook Air? No virus protection needed or even desirable and they have great usable life which offsets the cost difference in my experience.

lol derp I got this mild!

We gotta be nearing 20,000 on the "I got this" rehash and that's only been around a couple months. Thanks Vig and Therm!

You can also reload with square (I think it's square - I'm forgetting right this second). I said some people wouldn't like that, but it doesn't bother me.

It's a fantastic game and that's just part of it.

Edit: yes, square and you'll want to use it to reload early when not under fire.
It just doesn't feel natural since you hold down to fire your guns. Like I said, it's just unnecessary, it could begin the reload process when you fire your last bullet and sees you're still holding down the trigger, like virtually every other shooter made in the last 10 years.

Even Helldivers handles it better because it makes an "empty clip" noise when your out of ammo. All Gungeon does is flash the word reload in small letters above your character.

Did you just completely miss the word cheap in there?
I said the cost difference is offset by how long a usable life they have. My kids cheap Dell laptop is practically unusable and it's only a few years old. Our 11" Air is almost 5 years old (mid 2011 model) and still feels fast and runs RP maxed out smooth as butter.

Bums, I got someone to send me a green sublime for $28 shipped from the vinyl club I'm in. Just making sure the one you got was for yourself, and didn't just get it for me.

Chromebooks work great for casual browsing. I've had one for a few years. Not high end, just a 16gb SSD IIRC. Mine has trouble with high-res video but I'd expect a modern one would be fine.

Has anybody tested remote play on the PS TV over ethernet? I've long suspected the problem with RP on Vita is the shitty wifi but don't have an easy way to check it.

I've been to a few HS hockey games. It seemed like way too much time was spent by some asshat hitting the puck across to the other side of the ice and then the game resetting over and over again. The little I saw of pro hockey on TV looked to be about the same. Any game that takes an hour and only has an average of 5.5 goals seems slow and boring to me, though.

The 11" air has an SSD. Your cheap Dell probably doesn't. If so, toss in an SSD for a cheap upgrade and it'll make a pretty big impact.

So did you like the contents of the DS3 CE Bums? I've got about a week to decide before the prime discount disappears and then I'd have to hope it goes cheap at gamestop like the DS2 CE.

By the way I think RP really does require using a cable with the DS4. I tried using it wirelessly since the PS4 was nearby but then it says somebody is already logged in and disconnects.

If you are doing remote play with a PC, you wouldnt have the DS4 paired with the PS4. It should be paired with the PC you are using for remote play I would think.

Closest professional hockey team near me are the Stars in Dallas.  The Aeros bailed a few years ago.  Big win for the Blueshirts today and it looked like they dodged a bullet when Stepan got boarded, fuck you refs for the no call, and hit his head on them but was back on the bench before the end of the game.

You should buy it for $28. Some people are calling it green vinyl cause the cover is green. My buddy sold his green vinyl Jah for $500. Even if it's the regular black vinyl that's a good deal. My friend said the sound remaster on the vinyl was really good. Do you have a way to get mp3s from your vinyl?

You don't pair it, though. You just plug it in.

You can pair a DS4 with a Mac because we've done that for computer games, but you don't do that here.

Edit: though in retrospect I should try pairing it instead and see if that works.

I like the statue and the detail is really good. The art book is smaller than EU but quality is good. I still need to email Namco because my art book was binded backwards. Overall I don't see it dropping like DS2 CE and I'm happy with my purchase

First patch comes out on Monday.

So I'm going to a friends for pinball and bourbon so I can try it. But I just had an 8.7% beer for dinner. Am I fuck ed?

Have you had any issues with it so far? A friend mentioned to me yesterday that the PC version is quite buggy.
