PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

I still need to play Transistor. Probably hit Bastion again first. What was the verdict on that--does it fit well with Vita or is PS4 the way to go? IIRC the controls are fairly simple so I'd think Vita would be fine.
Bastion was great on Vita, things seem small at first but you get used to it in no time. I got the Plat on Vita. Oh and in case you didn't already know it was great on Vita. Just to reiterate.

I pay $40/mo right now for 50/5. It's the 5 part that really sucks, and there's no good option here until Google is live. Also, I get nowhere near the advertised speed at peak times since I'm in a condo complex filled with millennials.

My frugal side says keep the $40/mo, but my tech toy side says get the 1GB up and down because awesome.
Yeah 5 up sucks. I had 50/8 when I was in the apartment. The last year or so it worked pretty well but before that it was SLOW during primetime.

I would be tempted if I was in your situation since your service doesn't seem to be very good.

I forget who the few are in here with an Xbox one, but those here that have it, have you done the backwards compatibility? Do you like it? There are very few games that I like for the 360 that I don't already have on PlayStation. I'm debating trading in my 360 towards a Xbox one. And selling off all the games I don't want that aren't compatible.
I picked one up just a bit over a month ago. Only backwards compatible title I have played much of is Gears of War Judgement. I have a few other 360 games installed but haven't really played them. If it wasn't for a decent trade promo for my PS3 and GOW 4 I wouldn't have bothered.

The Rare Replay collection looked interesting (All 360 games) so I picked that up yesterday. Can't see me playing too many 360 titles (I had one for years and have played most of the 360 only games I cared to play).

It is $300 bucks, plus maybe a headset, Live subscription, and rechargeable batteries. I had a cheap headset that works so I didn't bother buying another. If you have a PS4 chat headset that plugs into the DS4 that you like you can just use that on the newer XBox One controllers.

Thanks Jimbo

I ended up making a lowball. I'm gonna keep only the 360 games I care about and sell everything else. Not sure if I'll get a Xbone now but maybe later. I saw right now GameStop has a $100 bonus for trade in, but you have to buy the xBox at that time and I don't have money for that now.

I have bills I need to pay since we want to get a house next year. I won't sell my game collection entirely, but just whatever I don't really care about I think.

Told myself I would buy Tower of Deadly Monsters next time it went on sale so that is in my cart. Looks like Loud on Planet X isn't on the store yet, but that's probably gonna get bought, too. There's two meh reviews for it on Metacritic, but it's only $6.99 and has a launch discount (right?). I finally found a video with actual gameplay outside of what was included in the one and a half minute launch trailer.

Looks/sounds good.

Edit: Actually, it's up now:

https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/games/loud-on-planet-x/cid=UP0984-CUSA04619_00-LOUDONPLANETX001

It's $7.99 and has a 10% Plus discount.

I like all the butthurt gamers on Facebook who are mad because they bought a PS4 day one and now "have" to buy the new one. One, no one's forcing you to buy the 4.5. If you don't have a 4K tv, it's not going to do much if anything.

Two, your benefit of buying a PS4 day one is not that your console is going to be outdated but the fact that you got to play a shit ton of games already. That's the way it is with anything when you decide to be an early adopter of a product.

Three, it's likely there will be some trade in deal to do an upgrade, whether it's an official one by Sony or Gamestop does it themselves. I mean, they're doing a get $200 towards the purchase of a PS4 or Xbone when you trade in a PS4 or Xbone currently. It seems feasible they would do the same.

These are the people with mental defects, Therm!
One, that's wrong. Based on the leaks, it's not just a 4K upgrade, it's a significantly more powerful console that will make games look better on all HD tvs as well as perform better.

Two, people buy consoles to feel like they'll be able to have the best console experience available for X number of years. X is variable, but last generation it was 7 or 8. With the PS4.5, X is going to be just over 3. That's less than half the time gamers were expecting their console to be the best available on the market, no wonder they're feeling short changed. And what about people like Zimm, who just bought one within the last 6 months. Sucks even worse for people in that population, it'll be less than a year before their console is already outdated.

Three is just speculation at this point. Let me know when they announce something like that officially.

I played like 20 songs last night, it's a lot of fun. The music is catchy and almost every song has a good beat to keep along with. For someone without a lot of rhythm, it was pretty tough for me on normal, and I can't seem to 3 star anything. I'm not sure why that one review says there's no replay value, there are 3 difficulties and you get ranked on 3 stars on all of them. No way that dude 3-starred hard (or even normal) on his first run.

I'll probably stream it tomorrow (no stream tonight cuz it's my brother's birthday)

Damn, one more incident report in the division and I'm pretty sure it's glitched on me. Icon shows up on the map, but there's nothing there for me to pick up. Drafted a friend to help me with it tonight because I'm 90% sure he hasn't gotten to it yet, but damn, that's annoying. One more side mission after that and I'm done with the collectables.
Sounds like you've just crappy friends. I had a friend help me get a glitched collectible and it worked on the first try with her. It does suck that there are so many random bugs in the game though.

Speaking of which, I just remembered I saved this video after it happened:

https://youtu.be/Vg8WHUqtpG4

Also, that happened right after I tried to join a random group to do that hospital mission and it sat on the loading screen for literally 55 seconds and then told me the join failed. Double yay!

Hahaha Tyler, only in Utah.

TLDR, utah has a stupid law about obscenity and alcohol mixing so a 21 and over only movie theater is getting fined for showing deadpool.
Yeah I saw that yesterday. Ridiculous. I thought the movie theater's lawyer had some funny points. Utah Tax dollars going towards Dept of Alcohol Beverage Control agents going to a movie and buying beer. Great way to spend our money, DABC. They really must not have anything to do over there.

I love official reports of things like this too. Spoiler of a funny part in the movie:

"The main character (male) in the film is shown numerous times engaging in acts or simulated acts of sexual intercourse with the female counterpart during a holiday themed sex-montage," Agent Bradley Bullock wrote, detailing the sex acts.

"An example of this is during 'International Women's Day' Vanessa looks to be sodomizing Wade in their bed,"

If people want the best experience available, they should just build a PC and use steam instead.

What were the best games out of the Rare Replay? Picked that up at ToyRUS for $10 yesterday.
Banjo Kazooie is the GOAT

Tooie is great as well. Blast Corps was amazing back in the day. Conker is supposedly fun but I guess the camera on that version is fucked all to shit.

I really haven't screwed with it much, but like most emulated BC solutions, performance and such vary from title to title. There's a thread on here where people have tried documenting what works well and what has issues.

Also speaking of Rare Replay and Battletoads and the turbo tunnel third level, I legit best that legit on my old NES multiple times in the early 90s. And I don't care if you believe me or not Tyler.

Yeah, I should definitely leave my kid so my munkyflix stream starts faster.
Speaking of how munkyflix is better than having stupid children, it's academy award winning Leo on blu ray and munkyflix day!

There's also some HBO/Cinemax early seasons on sale for cheap to try to get you hooked, so pitfall-approved Banshee s1 is on there now too.
