PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Not sure if anybody still watches Castle, but next season they're dropping Beckett and Lanie's characters. Glad I quit watching a few seasons ago.

I found a cheap copy of MLB 15.  Was gonna flip it this week but decided to go back for some of the easy trophies.  Booted it up and of course the damn disc won't install...

Does Loud on Planet X not let you pause during a song or am I experiencing some awful glitch?
Yeah that's a glitch. Pretty sure I paused songs several times.

Edit: Confirmed. Paused with no issue in the middle of the song.

Double Edit: I'm wrong. I guess you can only pause before the starting countdown finishes.

Triple Edit: You can pause once during a level, seemingly at any point in the song. Doesn't look like you can unpause and then pause a second time. So strange.

Also noticed that when I boot up the game, it tells me recording has been blocked right at the startup scene. I don't think it ever comes off. I wonder if I'm actually going to be able to stream the game tomorrow. Maybe everything is blocked because of all the licensed music?

Anyone know why I recognize the song Ritual Union by Little Dragon? It's in this game and I'm sure I've heard it before, but not sure where. Is it on a TV show or movie or something?

Hypothetically you could get around any block by using your cap device to stream it.

Maybe. When I played Quantum Break it had an option to turn off music due to copyright issues when streaming.

Crazy rules/laws.

If you're going to play it anyway, why not stream?
I just got home and I'm tired. Don't feel like talking or doing anything besides relaxing and playing games.

I'll stream it, or try to anyway, tomorrow at 9pm ET. If I can't do Loud on PLanet X I'll probably stream the new Shantae.

I've got another ~6 hours of Stories to play. Each story takes about a half hour now that I'm not exploring any more and just running through each narration. It's a shame everything is so front-loaded in the game--I had all but two trophies by about five hours in, had revealed 4/4 secrets, seen the true ending, and had forged and fully upgraded the swords. The stories are still good but they do end up all starting the same ~4 ways so that and the level and fight repetition does start getting old.

I'll just borrow this for my review tomorrow.

But yeah, there's definitely not enough to make you want to go back and experience the rest of the 24 stories because they're all pretty similar and you're playing the same areas over and over.

Continuing the captain america 3 spoilery stuff from yesterday:

Got tired of waiting for a sale, stupid hype:

He's fucking sweet except that all the stuff on his chest and legs are stickers which I didn't put on.

I think they would have gotten a lot more mileage out of things if not every run revealed a secret. Like you get to the end of the story but you're not sure what went wrong--randomizing that would have kept things going longer. The initial three choices all lead pretty straightforwardly to a secret each and it's not hard to get to the fourth secret either. Once you've gotten all four secrets the game outright tells you what to do next for the final ending.

Did you ever end up using the sword powers (R2) aside from healing? I fired up my first secondary sword, realized it was kind of pointless, and saved all my energy afterwards for healing. The only time I ever switched was to use the other swords for opening doorways.

BTW if you want to get that Old Fox, New Tricks trophy, here's what to do in a single fight:

  1. Normal Attack
  2. Counter Attack
  3. Hook Attack
  4. Dash Attack
  5. Grab Attack 1 (shield, throw into hole, throw into an enemy, or throw against wall)
  6. Grab Attack 2 (shield, throw into hole, throw into an enemy, or throw against wall)
Performing each of the above moves gives you 50 points per type for style--hit 300 points for the trophy. I'm not sure which of the four grab attacks counts and which don't, so just do all four in a fight and it'll trigger the trophy. Since you've gotten the true ending already you'll have the Skyripper Armature flying around frying bad guys, though, so you'd need to perform the above in a fight with a lot of bad guys to prevent the Skyripper from toasting the enemies before you can do all of them. That or start a new game and trigger it from there.

So dumb. I'll assume it's a glitch because I can't imagine them programming something retarded like that on purpose.

Why would you want to pause a rhythm game in the middle of the song? Heathens.
Trust me, I don't want to pause anything. I have kids.

Ugh. No matter how much I adjust my video borders I can't seem to make all the screen text fit in my TV. Unless Loud from Planet X is intentionally putting that shit over the border.

You guys are running into some really odd issues with the game. It's been flawless for me. So was Stories (except the frame rate dips of course) but lots of people ran into issues getting stuck in the enviornments and stuff.

I'm the best at games confirmed.

I'll give that a shot.

And yeah I used the frozen sword power a ton. You could sometimes freeze 3 or more guys with one shot, and then they just shatter and die with one shot if you freeze them, it's awesome.

Like the song titles on the selection screen. And upper left corner back/option thing.

I'm the worst at putting stickers on shit. I remember Christmas morning 1990 or 1991 getting upset with my dad because he put the sticker on just barely crooked on my WWF ring. I understand the struggle now, Dad.

I'll try it just to check it out. I've leveled him up enough at this point that getting to combo 20x causes any attack to instantly kill my target, though, so there's not a whole lot of need for a power that drains in < 10s.

Yeah, I never even attempt to put stickers on my legos (even though they've been getting lazier and lazier about printing stuff on pieces and go with stickers more and more). Even if I do it flawlessly, I assume they'll start peeling off at some point and look like crap. I'll just have to use my imagination.

There's also the fact that one year I found the empty sticker sheet for the Trypticon transformer I got for christmas from santa on my dad's workbench in the basement. Why would santa put the stickers on in my basement when he could've done it before leaving the north pole? Goodbye, fleeting childhood. Thanks for ruining everything, stickers.

UC3 crushing play through done.

It wasnt that bad really, thought 2 was harder. The parts that are listed as being tough in the guide were not bad, the fountain area near the end thats supposed to be real tough only took a few tries.

Overall I thought it was pretty decent. Pretty slow start, doesnt really pick up until 6 or more chapters into it, which is about 2ish hours into the game. Story was ok, better than 1 but not as good as 2.

Id rank them 2 3 1 in order of how I liked each one.

Great package though, we worth the 20 I paid for it.
