The amiibo thread is arguing about whether or not The Rock's movies, particularly San Andreas, was a bomb or not.

I love this site.

(Though I'm sure we talked about a lot of similarly stupid shit in the PSN thread back in the day as well)
Almost 4.5X budget worldwide in gross ticket sales. Certainly a bunch more in home video releases ($35 million in sales in the US alone), I would say no, not a bomb. The USA market is becoming steadily less important in theatrical releases. If they were arguing whether it was a hit or not, I could see how there would be room for interpretation, but it's made too much money to say it "bombed."

Crown of the Ivory King is probably the best of the three Dark Souls II DLCs, at least from an aesthetic/lore perspective.

Now all that remains before NG+, then NG++, is grinding for two covenants to get their exclusive spells...

Any of the thread regulars hitting up PAX East this weekend?
I wish. I've gone the last 3 years but couldn't afford it this one. My friend wants to go to PAX South in January instead.

Down to hard mode and dark zone stuff in the division now. Might try leveling up my lower level dude to get all the dark zone stuff done, either that or keep wandering around solo trying to be sneaky.
I still have The Division if anyone wants to play it sometime. I'm still a low level so can do Dark Zone stuff too.

My allergies have definitely gotten worse as I've gotten older. Never had a problem with all the pollen when I was growing up down there. Then I started having to take meds a few days before I'd go visit. Now, I'm just on meds all spring/summer no matter where I'm at.

Yeah, I woke up a couple days ago with my throat feeling like I was getting sick. Started up my allergy meds right after now its good.
I've never dealt with allergies before this past week. Holy fuck they suck! My eyes were itching like crazy and my body was irritated. Finally bought some Claritan (it's expensive) and some eye drops and today I felt 1000x better. It's probably all the fucking flowers at the apartment. We have a big tree outside our place and it looks like it puked white flowers everywhere. Even my dog was sneezing quite a bit when we moved but she's been fine lately.

I'm drunk enough to buy a new PC to play Dark Souls II and III even though I shouldn't be spending money.

Anyone use Steam here? I got some game codes to give away but I don't want to go give it to someone who will just add it to their library and never play.

I just finished Sunken King and that level design is freaky intricate with the way everything eventually doubles back to a shortcut. For some reason what popped into my head for a taunt when I was running over to finally deliver the death blow on the Toxic dragon solo after dying a bunch of times was "Come on down, you're the next contestant on the Price is Right!"

That's bellkeeper and Heir of the Sun or do you still have Pilgrims of the Dark to do.? I can't remember if I did Heirs of the Sun all legitimately or if I farmed for sunlight medals for enemy drops for the rest of them. I know I did at least 2/3rds of my Bellkeeper by killing the Mad Warrior in the Iron Keep Bellfry. That's why I do all that grindy stuff before I take a break just before the end of NG to wait for the DLC to drop, because if I tried to do it now years later I would be at quite a loss.

Yup, those are the covenants. I've killed the Mad Warrior 4 times so far, and I plan on attempting to farm Sunlight Medals from Falconers in Shaded Woods (Scholar of the First Sin adds some there, so you don't have to farm them in NG+ at Things Betwixt). Do you know if you have to be in Heirs of the Sun for the medals to drop?

I don't believe so, I think it just drops like a normal item. The riders in Harvest Valley also drop them if all the falconers despawn and you want to wait to burn an ascetic. You could also try dropping your sign on some easy bosses like the covetous demon or skeleton lords to see if you get any bites.

Actually, I won't have to worry about despawning thanks to the Covenant of Champions, which has the downside of acting like a Bonfire Ascetic is applied everywhere.

31m of ClaDun Sengoku gameplay:

It's in Japanese but that doesn't really matter for this. Makes me want to play one of the earlier titles. I think I've got ClaDun.  :whistle2:k

I guess Amazon is limiting certain games, like GTA V, only to Prime members. I think if I was non-Prime, it would just piss me off and I'd shop elsewhere rather than give in to them and sign up for Prime.

I started up Rocketbirds Vita.  I remembered playing the PS3 version and thinking it was meh and now I remember why.  The controls are just weird with the crouching and jumping.  Definitely just worth a quick playthrough and not trying to get all the collectables and stuff.

Why am I not surprised my first trip to the Dark Zone last night had some asshole not even interested in extracting gear who was a super high level in the DZ but low in the main game doing nothing but killing people for sport?

On top of that some other dude he pissed off tried to help us fight him and ran in front of us trying to shoot him so we went rogue.  I guess I shouldn't be surprised, I knew I would hate that mode.

I can't even remember the last time I finished the game and jumped right in to the second playthrough.  ratchet and clank is awesome.  I'm definitely going to regret not following a guide for the groovitron thing though.

Yeah and Derek the Dick forced me (to get easy trophies) to play Resident Evil last night. Ratchet and Clank is always awesome.

Last night the Orioles' Joey Rickard hit a ball through Josh Donaldson's glove:

The credited him with a hit for this.

Its not an error since it clearly would have been caught had he not had an equipment malfunction. Although Im pretty sure it was Donaldson who had the same thing happen to him in a game against the Rays earlier this year. It was a grounder that went through his webbing. He needs a new glove.

attention everyone that wanted to get on the free homefront train:

please PM me along with the city/state you're in and I'll try to get something going.  thread regulars only so we can piss all over your good name if you don't pass it along.

Probably don't count as a regular, and don't have the appropriate console in all likelihood, but I'm just curious about what this is.
