It's obviously not a good sign when reviews won't be ready on release day, but people on the internet/NeoGAF tend to think it spells doom (get it?) for any game that doesn't have reviews ready to go at launch or earlier. Then they conveniently forget about games they love (like Evil Within) that had release day review embargoes. That's release day. That doesn't bode well, does it?
Shadow of Mordor also comes to mind, but that may have had a day-before-release review embargo instead. It's obviously not a good sign when reviews won't be ready on release day, but people on the internet/NeoGAF tend to think it spells doom (get it?) for any game that doesn't have reviews ready to go at launch or earlier. I remember a trailer for Revelations using a dubstep-y Chase & Status tune. Didn't seem out of place to me. What a wonderful fad that was.I don't partake in the Kanye West hating circlejerk as much as the rest of you, but he is a strange guy. He definitely used to be a good rapper, I haven't heard much of his recent stuff.
The song in the trailer didn't seem bad to me, just terribly out of place like Gator said. Not really Kanye's fault at all.
This is correct, but the reason we single out MGS2 is because its the one we played that made us realize we hate the series. I can't really say I hate Metal Gear Solid 3 or 4 without playing them (though I'm sure I would) so I just make the statements about MGS2.You two realize that you pretty much described the series in general? It doesn't make any sense to single out one game for things that are prevalent throughout the entire series. Your beef shouldn't be with MGS2, but with all the entries... especially the earlier ones. In fact, you could use all of these complaints against the first MGS especially... I guess it's safe to assume that you didn't like it either?
TL;DR - I helped you figure out you don't like the series so now you don't need to bother with the rest of them... you're welcome, you commie bastards.
Well at least one person got a review code before launch apparently.Amazon games is streaming Doom single player:

And they're giving away this stuff:
A lot of people who hated MGS2 ended up loving MGS3, so you might not want to automatically assume you'll also hate that one. This is correct, but the reason we single out MGS2 is because its the one we played that made us realize we hate the series. Such a shame because the original MGS was excellent. It still had a bit of that story bullshit but it wasn't nearly as bad as 2.
I remember now I think I played the first few minutes of MGS3 too and quit it pretty quickly cause the first thing you do is camo yourself and sit in the weeds waiting for guards to move and I got bored and would move and be seen right away. So no, MG3 was still sucky.A lot of people who hated MGS2 ended up loving MGS3, so you might not want to automatically assume you'll also hate that one.
OK, but you still tried it. Tyler hasn't.I remember now I think I played the first few minutes of MGS3 too and quit it pretty quickly cause the first thing you do is camo yourself and sit in the weeds waiting for guards to move and I got bored and would move and be seen right away. You dont even know who kanye is old man.I'm going to put that AC trailer on repeat just to piss off kilik. Worth it.
Thought the same thing when I watched the trailer.Wait, is that Kanye doing the music for Ass Creed?
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/05/12/survive-a-monster-filled-mansion-in-my-night-job-out-may-17-on-ps4/Trophies are actually useful in-game, too! Deep inside the mansion, there’s the trophy room where ten of the shiny trophies you earn are displayed. You can activate and deactivate up to two of them at the same time, with each of them toggling gameplay modifiers in real-time. Enhanced running speed for you or the survivors, 50% more HP, temporary invincibility while transformed into the demon clown (yes, you can be a demon clown for a few seconds), and so on.
While I don't hate MGS3, I don't get why so many people consider it their favorite in the series.Loved MGS2, hated 3. Loved 4.
Suck it losers.
He definitely used to be a good rapper.
Are you sure you don't mean MGS5 by this? MGS4 didn't have the base management stuff that Peace Walker has.MGS2 sucks. Get over it. Worst of the series. I don't think 3 was as amazing as everyone thought either but it didn't have it's moments. Some great boss fights. MGS1 and Peace Walker are probably my top 2. 4 was pretty awesome too as it was a blown up Peace Walker but it just felt slightly removed from the rest of the series.
Sweet pixels. Reminds me of the Scott Pilgrim game.My Night Job hits 5/12 on PS4. It's an 80s style arcade brawler and sounds pretty interesting. The blog had this to say:

Lots of screen clutter, though. Not sure about that.
Isn't 5 the least like a normal MGS game?I've hated everything about mgs but number 5 is a blast.
If I win, can I shoot him in the face with it?George Zimmerman is trying to auction off the gun he killed Trayvon Martin with. He's describing it as a piece of American history.

yep and with the gun tooIf I win, can I shoot him in the face with it?
#videogamesCome on Uncharted, do you think we're stupid or something?
Chapter 1, Nate learns to use ropes from Sam. As a kid. And then what...just forgets and magically remembers? Oh those first four games, I didn't know how to use ropes because I forgot. But now that I remember I'm super good at it.
Yes 5.Are you sure you don't mean MGS5 by this? MGS4 didn't have the base management stuff that Peace Walker has.
And we'll just have to agree to disagree on MGS2. I think it might actually be my favorite one.
Chapter 1 was fine. I got stuck on the mines in chapter 2.How's AMY? I heard it's amazing.
Sure, I'll try that! He says in the OP that it has to be a game he can easily buy less than $60.Contest to win any game you want from a CAG - https://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/356262-danimals-so-easy-contest-iii-the-trilogy-concludes/
Waiting for the inevitable NES Gold World Championship or Panzer Dragoon Saga. Not sure what I want to pick as my real entry though.
He doesn't allow imports? Because if he did I'd ask for PuyoPuyo Tetris for Vita.I think I found what I want for that contest - http://www.play-asia.com/jikkyou-powerful-pro-yakyuu-2016/13/7097kv
Power Pros 2016 Japan for the Vita
oh, nm it doesnt qualify, I'll look into importing it.
You might have liked them more if you had played the previous games (including Peace Walker, as much of MGS V references it).I only played MGS 4 and 5 and I don't get all the hubbub around it. They were okay but hardly memorable for me.
