PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

I don't partake in the Kanye West hating circlejerk as much as the rest of you, but he is a strange guy. He definitely used to be a good rapper, I haven't heard much of his recent stuff.

The song in the trailer didn't seem bad to me, just terribly out of place like Gator said. Not really Kanye's fault at all.

That's release day. That doesn't bode well, does it?
It's obviously not a good sign when reviews won't be ready on release day, but people on the internet/NeoGAF tend to think it spells doom (get it?) for any game that doesn't have reviews ready to go at launch or earlier. Then they conveniently forget about games they love (like Evil Within) that had release day review embargoes.

Shadow of Mordor also comes to mind, but that may have had a day-before-release review embargo instead.

I remember a trailer for Revelations using a dubstep-y Chase & Status tune. Didn't seem out of place to me. What a wonderful fad that was.

You two realize that you pretty much described the series in general? It doesn't make any sense to single out one game for things that are prevalent throughout the entire series. Your beef shouldn't be with MGS2, but with all the entries... especially the earlier ones. In fact, you could use all of these complaints against the first MGS especially... I guess it's safe to assume that you didn't like it either?

TL;DR - I helped you figure out you don't like the series so now you don't need to bother with the rest of them... you're welcome, you commie bastards.
This is correct, but the reason we single out MGS2 is because its the one we played that made us realize we hate the series. I can't really say I hate Metal Gear Solid 3 or 4 without playing them (though I'm sure I would) so I just make the statements about MGS2.

Such a shame because the original MGS was excellent. It still had a bit of that story bullshit but it wasn't nearly as bad as 2.

A lot of people who hated MGS2 ended up loving MGS3, so you might not want to automatically assume you'll also hate that one.

I remember now I think I played the first few minutes of MGS3 too and quit it pretty quickly cause the first thing you do is camo yourself and sit in the weeds waiting for guards to move and I got bored and would move and be seen right away. So no, MG3 was still sucky.

OK, but you still tried it. Tyler hasn't.

From the amazon stream, the gameplay in Doom looks pretty damn smooth and they seem to like it.  Graphics look great and I like the music too.  Fits.  So I am confident I will have fun with it this weekend and through early next week.  Im taking off Monday - Wed next week.

My Night Job hits 5/12 on PS4. It's an 80s style arcade brawler and sounds pretty interesting. The blog had this to say:

Trophies are actually useful in-game, too! Deep inside the mansion, there’s the trophy room where ten of the shiny trophies you earn are displayed. You can activate and deactivate up to two of them at the same time, with each of them toggling gameplay modifiers in real-time. Enhanced running speed for you or the survivors, 50% more HP, temporary invincibility while transformed into the demon clown (yes, you can be a demon clown for a few seconds), and so on.

Lots of screen clutter, though. Not sure about that.

Last movie the director did was Macbeth (seems to be the only one of note) with a lot of the same actors, which is on amazon prime (haven't watched it yet).

The screewriters' last 3 are Divergent: Allegiant, Transporter Refueled, Exodus: Gods and Kings for 2 of them, so that is cause for concern. One of the writers of the Macbeth movie screenplay is the 3rd writer (probably a script rewrite).

 Nope never. Every time that guy opens his mouth an angel loses it's wings.

I don't know exactly what everyone expects from an Assassin's Creed movie but that trailer looked pretty cool. It just is what it is. I remember Cheapy D made fun of the Transformers movie on one of the Cagcasts back in the day. I'm like WTF did you expect you were going to see? All anyone wanted to see was Big robots fighting and transforming which was is usually the later half of the movie for about 10 mins...maybe a bit more over time...but this shit isn't Shakespeare.

I don't know how many of you watched Prince of Persia which was cast pretty strangely but it was enjoyable enough to watch 1 time through as a dumb action movie that I don't have to think too much about afterwards.

MGS2 sucks. Get over it. Worst of the series. I don't think 3 was as amazing as everyone thought either but it didn't have it's moments. Some great boss fights. MGS1 and Peace Walker are probably my top 2. 4 was pretty awesome too as it was a blown up Peace Walker but it just felt slightly removed from the rest of the series.

Are you sure you don't mean MGS5 by this? MGS4 didn't have the base management stuff that Peace Walker has.

And we'll just have to agree to disagree on MGS2. I think it might actually be my favorite one.

Come on Uncharted, do you think we're stupid or something?

Chapter 1, Nate learns to use ropes from Sam. As a kid. And then what...just forgets and magically remembers? Oh those first four games, I didn't know how to use ropes because I forgot. But now that I remember I'm super good at it.

Yeah, I entered. I put in for sure GOTY Doom!

Figured I'd pick something I'm not sure about and that I can't get at my library due to M-rating.

AC trailer looks wack to me but I've pretty much hated every AC game I've tried so maybe that's why. Fassbender is the man, though.

I think I found what I want for that contest - http://www.play-asia.com/jikkyou-powerful-pro-yakyuu-2016/13/7097kv

Power Pros 2016 Japan for the Vita

oh, nm it doesnt qualify, I'll look into importing it.
He doesn't allow imports? Because if he did I'd ask for PuyoPuyo Tetris for Vita.

Speaking of which, I notice that the PS4 (and other) versions are now down to $29.99 from PlayAsia (plus shipping). That's a great deal.

PS4: http://www.play-asia.com/puyo-puyo-tetris-special-price/13/7096yl

Vita: http://www.play-asia.com/puyo-puyo-tetris-special-price/13/7096yp

I have it for PS4. Great game.

I will play PuyoPuyo Tetris with PSNOT online on PS4. Yes the online works. I've played with another friend, although I never had any luck playing with randoms - not sure if that's a time zone difference, lack of an online community, or if it doesn't let you play with people in another region.

I like how the contest thread was a long string of PSNOTers.  Way to represent.  And thanks for the heads up Mitch.

I put in for Horizon Zero Dawn.
