I forgot all about cag going down until I read the posts here. For a few minutes I was wondering why nobody had posted except zimm for 4 hours.

That was weird. I saw earlier today Shipwreck tweeted about his MS account getting hacked. Maybe that had something to do with it.

Anyway it was clearly just a young wannabe hacker (maybe banned from this site for being an idiot). Reading his twitter account was fully of cringy fedora & neckbeard comments.

Yeah I see that didn't slow down his snarky Sony comments as he said everyone would get a code for a free day of cag. Kinda amusing.

I had to spend the evening reading Facebook posts about everyone competing to be the biggest Eagles fan.
So this may be the cynical robot asshole side of me, but why do people get SO worked up over celebrity deaths? I was reading comments like "Days without a major celebrity dying: 0" and "Can we please have a few days without a celebrity dying? My heart can only handle so much..."

I don't mean to sound rude, but really? Your heart is aching over the third most famous member of the Eagles dying?

I have no problem with posts like Bums' where he said what happened and said RIP. That's nice and respectful. But do people really let their day/week be altered by a person they never met passing away?

Or is everyone else just full of shit and pretending they care by using super hyperbolic comments like that?

Haha I thought that was funny. Sony sending out 1 day codes is ridiculous. What a waste of their time and resources.

(But like I said I'm pretty sure they just did it to trick people into auto-renewing later down the line.)

My great aunt passed away earlier this afternoon at 95.  I was more concerned about that than Glenn Frey.  Talked to her over Christmas when I was back North on the phone but she didn't want anyone to come see her at that point.  My mom saw her the following week and said she seemed depressed.  Her daughter passed away a few months ago after a bout with a long term illness and then she fell and broke her elbow and some other bones in her arm soon after.  She took a sudden turn last week and was put in hospice.  I'll miss her and remember her most from Passover Seders as my dad's side was Jewish and how much fun she was.

So yeah Glenn Frey, I liked some of his music.  RIP.

I was thinking the same thing reading all the comments on youtube about David Bowie. Aren't all of our lives special? Am I less of a human for not writing hit songs or being famous? It only gets really annoying when people over do it. My brother died the same week Michael Jackson did so all the internet nonsense really got to me.

Sorry for your loss man. And I get your point about the celeb death thing. Tomorrow is the one year anniversary of my grandfather's death and yeah, that means infinitely more to me than ANY celeb's death

The wife told me about Glenn Frey. I asked who he was and she got mad when I said Don Henley was the lead singer of the Eagles.

The Heat is On was great, though. Great fun in Beverly Hills Cop.

What happened to the cheap Turk I remember? Do you really need 2 consoles that don't have a lot of exclusives or even games yet?
lol Oh I've just become a cheap fuck on 2 systems! The selling point for me was the xbox exclusives both this generation and previous. Sold my ps3 long time ago and I was missing fallout 3!
