It was a brisk 34°F tonight for the boy's baseball tryouts.  He wanted Arby's for dinner.  While I was eating my roast beef sandwich, I couldn't help but think that it reminded me of something.

So a final assault began in helldivers today vs. the bug home world and will last for another 40 hours or so. It's in the bug planet sector on the right side of the map. So you can either start a game picking one of those maps or look for a multiplayer game vs. the bugs with double XP as the reward and complete the mission. If the assault succeeds (it should with all the new PS+ people) you should get two trophies after the event is over. Once it is over, open your armory and the trophies should pop.

If you plan to play it eventually It's probably a good to go ahead and boot it up and get those trophies out of the way as the online player base has to be active in order to get those trophies.

I dont want to know. I will probably skip to another game series before going to 3 and San Andreas. The camera is just terribly annoying and so are the stone age graphics. I will get the plat in Vice City and maybe in 3, but not in San Andreas. I remember hating the map and all the shit you had to do like keeping gang territory in San Andreas. So doubtful I will plat that one.

Big win for the Gamecocks over LSU, tonight. I like the way this team is playing right now, especially at home. Showdown with Kentacky on Saturday with the conference lead at stake.

I thought it was a cool place, pricey but the food we had was pretty good.

They have a pork chop that look REALLY good. I got a steak, was good but nothing special.

oh shit, just looked at menu, thats 89 PER person. Thats damn near catbird seat prices, it wasnt THAT good to me.

Great little place though, im sure you guys will love it.

Thanks for the heads up Owl, I went ahead and started up Helldivers tonight too to knock out that mission.  Nice little game though I will probably just play in spurts.

 
Got an email about that mlb.tv CLA,  The settlement is pretty much what we read last month.

  • MLB will lower the price of MLB.TV to $109.99 for 2016 (from the 2015 price of $129.99). MLB will be prohibited from increasing the price by more than 3% (or the federal Cost of Living Adjustment ("COLA"), if higher) per year through 2020.
     
  • For the 2016 and 2017 MLB seasons, Comcast and DIRECTV will provide the full season MLB Extra Innings product at a 12.5% discount from the 2015 price.
     
  • Single-Team Packages: MLB will offer packages of single teams' out-of-market games through MLB.TV (for example, a stream of just the Kansas City Royals' games for out-of-market subscribers). This product will cost $84.99 for a full season in 2016, with MLB allowed to raise the price by no more than 3% (or COLA, if higher) for each of the next four years. MLB has also agreed to make this option available to Comcast and DIRECTV so that they may offer seasonal packages of single team games for each and every MLB Club available through MLB Extra Innings, although Comcast and DIRECTV are not obligated to offer such packages.
     
  • Follow Your Team: MLB will allow all MLB.TV purchasers who subscribe to Comcast, DIRECTV, or certain other cable, satellite or other providers to purchase a "Follow Your Team" option that will allow them to receive telecasts of their favorite out-of-market team's broadcaster without any blackouts-even when it is playing an in-market team, so long as the purchaser receives the in-market team's programming through his or her television service. This product will cost no more than $10 more than a standard MLB.TV package, which will raise the overall price of the MLB.TV package to $119.99 for a full season in 2016 for consumers selecting this enhancement.
     
  • In-Market Streaming: MLB will seek to reach agreements with Comcast, Root Sports, and Fox regional sports networks to offer live in-market streaming of their telecasts. If in-market streaming is not available for all of the teams whose games are broadcast by those networks by 2017, MLB will be prohibited from increasing prices for any of the above MLB.TV products through 2020.

The first DLC for MGR was pretty tough. It's very short but easily more difficult than the main game because the character you play as (Jetstream Sam) is noticeably weaker than Raiden and isn't as good at parrying attacks.

Thanks for the tip. I don't really like starting games and potentially leaving them with a low trophy-acquisition rate, but I can give this a shot anyway.

 
I'm announcing that I am coming out of trophy retirement. Granted, I can't really play video games while I'm in school, but I think I'm gonna go back and get some missing trophies, even from games I don't like, with a MildObstruction-like focus.

 
Also noticed that I actually have more total trophies than Vig and Stotch. But they're both way ahead of me in both TT and trophy points cuz they get tons of plats and hard trophies.

Damnit, got all the way to the end of my stealth playthrough of a level, I picked a lvl 7 cyborg mission to double up with the "don't get damaged on a lvl 7 cyborg mission" trophy and then a pack of cyborg hounds wandered away from the distraction beacon and knocked me down as I was about to get on the shuttle. I got the stealth trophy thankfully, but I missed the no damage trophy. After joining several games midway through and not taking damage but still not getting the trophy I guess you have to do it from the very beginning of the mission for it to count. Either that or they changed it and now damage against vehicles counts.

At some point they nerfed distract beacons so that they have an aggro cap. On the higher level maps you'll find more and more enemies that break away from them.

edit - I think it might've just been a shrink in radius and not a cap, I can't remember now. in any event, it's not the 100% reliable stealth party that it used to be. and I'm pretty sure you're right that you have to do a whole mission without damage from drop in to exit. but you can really just do what you did but save a slot in your loadout for a walker and just hide in that if things get weird. or the much easier way is to do it with a team.

Rocket League plat achieved. Almost fell asleep several times doing 1-goal games to grind out the unlocks I had left. Pretty fun game that I'm glad I went back to after dabbling with it a little when it was first released.
