It's Bethesda. They've been bumping their prices on old games for a while. Steam sale prices are higher now on all their old games than they used to be. So yes.

I am not a big fan of $50 DLC. However if people enjoy the game and are getting hundreds of hours out of it seems like good bang for the buck.

Last pricey DLC I really bought was for Destiny. I played the first one and haven't played the second 2. I usually get burnt on any game after a while. But for those who love to play a game for hundreds of hours it still seems like a decent enough deal. Plus as others have said you can lock in the cheaper price now if you want.

But for me I can't see spending $40 to $50 on DLC. For most games I can wait for the GOTY edition and even then more often then not I never get around to most of the DLC.

Exactly Jimbo.  If someone is willing to pay the price the seller has every right to jack up the price.  Just because you want something for cheap doesnt make it shady that they raised the price.

 
Officially done with Spy Hunter. The remaining trophies can fuck off. The guide made it sound like a super easy plat and the global completion percentage isn't bad, but one trophy just would not trigger no matter how many times I ran through the requirements and the other two remaining trophies require playing every map again multiple times. It's just not a very fun game and I can't recommend it. Back to GF it goes.

I have watched some of it and it's pretty good, but a bit oppressive. I feel like Gotham creates an awesome, grimy world, but there's still lighter moments to balance it out. Also not sure I like single villain for an entire season stories. Gotham mixes it up so far.
 
Never realized until today that you can hover your mouse over your playstation level on PSNP and it'll tell you how many points until your next level.

 
Lost Dimension for Vita is on sale for $19. I could pick that up, unless I want to hold out hope it will drop lower.

I should also buy that Digimon game before February's over in order to get the bonuses.

yeah, when I first got my Vita, I bought that and Virtua Tennis. I played it for a bit and realized how shitty it was and knew I would never bother for the supposedly "easy" plat. It aint easy if the game is so boring/terrible you dont want to play it more than an hour.

Stuff with bad guys that never die is difficult for me to watch. I always want them to be killed and the shitty hero types are too lame to do the deed. "Oh, no, I can't kill bad guys! It'd be horrible of me to kill somebody who is going to kill hundreds of people!"

So annoying.

seems like your liked posts notifications work to bring you to the thread, but using the last post notification does not.  on desktop version now.

walking dead ps3 plat get, did a little of 400 days but watching chelsea for a couple hours and then ill finish it so i can trade it and metro redux x1 to gs tonight.

Wasnt as good as I remember, but still better than season 2.

Anyone have a can or bottle of Barqs Root Beer around them, or maybe in a store nearby? I'm wondering if Barqs has caffeine, I always thought it did but I can guarantee that Barqs in Utah doesn't have caffeine.

It doesn't. Or at least it didn't last time I drank some.

Nvm, I think I'm thinking of another brand. Anyhow, regular Barq's is supposed to have caffeine, sugar free does not. Regular doesn't in Utah:

fuckin ridiculous. Basically every other brand doesn't have caffeine, Mormons could drink any one of those brands, they didn't need to make Barq's caffeine free.

Also mormons are allowed to drink caffeine in soda now anyway.

We have some new neighbors that move in across the street. Yesterday one of the guys asks me about what's a good console to buy because he got his tax return. He tells me that he has a 360 but was curious about the PS4. I told him it depends on what exclusives you want to play. I told him I prefer Sony consoles because of the exclusives and the imports. He asked how realistic the games are this gen and I showed him Dead or Alive Extreme 3 trailer and he seemed sold. Looks like Sony is selling another PS4.

I guarantee you that any big name publisher not named Rockstar or Bethesda would get so much bad press for pulling that shit.

No one cares about Dying Light because literally six people play that game.
 
Yeah, you guys are being a bit tough on Bethesda. They put a lot of effort into FO4. It's a huge improvement over FO3--doesn't resemble the earlier game at all--and had a flawless launch that still hasn't required a single patch. They deserve the extra $20 for that totally bitching horse armor.

I love this. So Bethesda somehow mind controls people to buy their stupid game? they dont deserve anything, but if you want to buy their product you get to pay what they want you to pay. thats your problem, not theirs.

Oh, I have no problem with them doing it. I just think it's hilarious that they've had such criticism over the long wait for the game content and quality they delivered and then they immediately turn around and charge people more for extra content of unknown quality. It's clear that people will buy the shit they peddle so good for them, but I'm still amazed that people bother.

I'm sure I'll pick it up at some point, but it certainly won't be until a GOTY edition hits and I doubt I'd pay over $20.
