yeah that whole segment got a little dark. I'm looking forward to finding more friendly giant cows or running around the insides of a enormous friendly monster with a preschool in her belly to cleanse the palate.

Yeah, I got that the appearance thing was probably tied in with his "broken belief" But it seems insane, even within the scopes of the game world, that they tied the lack of sage powers (which I totally believed would fall under broken belief heart) as well as the general crazy decrees and the pig thing all into one broken heart segment. Just seemed like a ridiculous jump in severity since the cow who ate too much, and the cat that wouldn't stop napping. This poor kid had legitimate life problems lol.

 
We'll I guess if X-files doesn't come back you can interpret that ending a certain way that brings closure.

They get blown up by the UFO death beam which would fire seconds after the episode ended.

Given the 6 episode season's weird structure it's almost like Carter took a movie treatment, cut the movie in half, and then put 4 standalone episodes inbetween both halves.

Did it get any better after episode 1? I watched that and wasn't impressed. I'm sure I'll give the whole thing a shot anyway once it's on Netflix.

ok yeah I get what you're saying now. Like Mild said that part was definitely unusually dark compared to the other two kingdoms.

6 was a better episode than 1, there is one other pretty good humorful episode, and the other 3 standalones are fairly middle of the road.

I'm watching xfiles for more or less the first time right now with my wife and we've been amazed how it's just a steady stream of shitty horror movie tropes and effects in the first season. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing and I've been pretty entertained, but at times it's half troma movie and half twilight zone.

The Weekly Deals page still shows "Rockstar Sale", but the picture attached to it is of Assassin's Creed. Does that imply the new sale is on Assassin's Creed games?

Seems like it could be fun, but I don't like how tiny the player is.

This also reminds me that they need to get Cave Story on PS4 & Vita already.

No date or price? I guess it's good to know that the port is still in existence since it was originally announced in August 2014, but hell we might be waiting til 2017 to play this one.

Ugh, Nicalis is such trash. I don't know what they do all day, but it's not working on the video games they have publishing right to.

You'd think Risk of Rain was being published by them due to how fucking long its taking.

It's very popular on Steam. $10 there so hopefully they don't mark it up much on PS. Alternatively it could be free next month since there's no date listed other than "Early 2016." It'd be a pretty good pick IMO. The game itself is pretty interesting. The levels are procedurally generated and there's an exit in each stage to go to the next level. You can rush to the exit or you can take your time exploring and collecting power-ups, but the more time that passes in the game the harder and more enemies you'll face. It's a balancing act. Lots of upgrades and such, too.

I might buy Hitman Go at that price too. But probably not.

 
I have Hitman Go on IOS and my Kindle. Got both for free so I can wait for Hitman Go to hit a flash sale or drop like a rock in price. Trophies or not it'll be cheap one day.
 
I played some more The Order 1886 last night. I'm only up to Chapter 6. I think I'm seriously taking the longest amount of time on a game that is the shortest in length. Just been spread thin this last month. 

I'm not really sure why this game got beat up so much, there are definitely worse games out there. Someone mentioned the shooting wasn't very good but I'm not having any trouble pulling off headshots. Cover system seems to work ok too. I actually like it better than the division where all the cover felt super super overly sticky. 

I dig the atmosphere and story though. I'm actually hoping for a sequel now, that delivers for everyone.

I really need to start using the wishlist feature more. I know there's a number of games that I want that never get discounts but I can't remember what all they are.

I don't have any slow shipping credits left. On the one hand it's nice to get $1 credit, and on the other hand I spent $100 to get free fast shipping (mostly). I guess it does save you from the minimum, though, so you get that at least.
