Yeah it'll probably be either GGC or Teslagrad. I kinda wanna go for 100% in Cannoli though so idk if I would get through all of that in one weekend.

 
You enjoy your obtuse and generally implausible puzzles and I will enjoy my relaxing walk through a game with a cool story/atmosphere.

the reason I bothered with Swapper and not a game like Teslagrad is because Swapper looks cool and has atmosphere whereas most puzzle games like Teslagard are just...not atmospheric and very bland.

Its why I also liked The Fall.  Cool atmosphere and story.

Yeah Tyler, Wren I see both of you guy's points. I don't play many puzzle games but I usually spend at least a little time trying to figure stuff like that out on my own, but I won't hesitate to pull up a guide if I need to. If I like the game I'd rather move on from that section with the help of a guide as opposed to getting frustrated and quitting.

Yeah, we just egg each other on. Either way is fine. I just like to play a game and get through it rather than sit on the same puzzle for any length of time. I have enough headaches from work and life, I dont need it in games. Plus I have so many other games to play, it isnt like I only have the one.

Tyler lives in Utah where nothing happens so he can handle stress in video games.

There was a pretty funny Twitter back and forth between the Louisville Bats (Triple A Reds) and Buffalo Bisons (Triple A Blue Jays). Basically the Bats used #GrammarDay and posted a pic of the dictionary definition of bison, pointing out that the plural was bison. Buffalo responded back saying "Oh, we've never heard that one before." and used this pic:

Dumb dumb dumb. They HAVE to get MLS on the same schedule as the rest of the civilized soccer world.

If for no other reason than to at least TRY to be competitive in Concacaf champions league.

They start the season and immediately have to play CCL matches against teams (namely Liga MX or whatever mexico top league is called now) that are well into their season and are in form where as MLS teams are still kicking off the off season rust. Its completely stupid.

The Swapper's puzzles are quite easy for the most part. I think I looked up the solution to two of them. There's absolutely no reason to use a guide for that part of game--if you get stuck just look up that particular puzzle. It shouldn't happen often. I dislike puzzles in games and still found The Swapper's to be fine.

OTOH there are (IIRC) 10 hidden computers you need to access for one of the trophies. You'll absolutely want to use a guide for that because the damn things are impossible to find on your own, but none are missable. Just clear the game and then right before you trigger the ending sequence use a guide to grab the computers real quick.

No one does multiple saves until it happens to them... then all the time.

It's amazing that as many games that are played by everyone in here that there would be even one of you that hasn't felt the sting of a lost save.

Just like when I kept telling myself I didn't need PS+. Then I had to replay half of Okami. Hard to believe how stubborn/stupid I was for that.

haha, you think that's bad? When cloud saves were first introduced I kept hitting "no" when I'd start a new game just because. Then my PS3 fried out on me and I almost lost everything... luckily I was able to heat it back up in the oven and get it working just long enough to back up a lot of the saves that I was currently using.

With cloud saves and autosave slots, data isn't lost nearly as much as it used to be so I can understand why some people don't bother... but it only takes one time to make you a believer.

Embargoes on ports of PC games that have been out for 6 months to a year are retarded. The only reason I could imagine for them existing is to potentially hide the fact that it is a shitty/inferior port. Not that I think that's what's happening here. I just can't think of a better alternative reason.

English premier league, spanish league, german league, etc etc. All start in august and finish in may. All play in the fall and winter. All are comparable climate to the US.

Hell england is actually slightly further north than most of the US and they play all through dec and jan.

I lost some saves when I got rid of my original PS3. I didn't have PS+ then and thought I had everything backed up to a USB Stick. A few months later when I got a new PS3 I figured out a few saves were missing. I did eventually get over it but wouldn't have minded finishing up a couple of those games. Also lost a few on my Vita. Thought I had manually cloud saved them all. Only to find out later I hadn't.

I do occasionally make manual saves on games I know are buggy as shit or maybe at a spot where you pick one path and have to replay the other path later.

I almost forgot... yesterday I was downloading all that F2P bullshit for the sweepstakes and realized I had forgotten all about that Frozen matching game for my daughter.  When you make enough matches your character throws a snowball at your opponent and whoever gets hit the most at the end of the round loses.  I was letting the kids play against each other and they were winning with scores like 1-0 or 2-1... stuff like that.  My wife walks in the room, watches them play a few rounds, then asks if she can play.  She's notorious for having absolutely no mercy when playing anything against anyone, even when it includes kids.

So she starts whooping up on them... 5-1... 10-2... and every time she won she would give a little victory "yes!".  So after a few rounds of this I ask the kids if I can have a turn against mommy.

Illuminate succeeded, now everyone is piled on the cyborg leg so I would expect that assault to happen sometime late Saturday or early Sunday. If you ever think you are going to get into Helldivers at some point, the upcoming 48 hour event will be the last time you can ensure a homeworld assault victory and a war victory for quite awhile. Once the war is over, the chance of a super Earth 48 hour defense event early in the next war is quite likely and you can knock out all 3 community trophies within hopefully a few days.

Getting the kids to backup their saves so we can try out this PS4 firmware tonight. Not really sure why since the main thing I'm interested in is the PC/Mac remote play, but I'll test out the friend notifications and such.
