I used the demo version of the old software before they went web-based. It seemed like a worse version of Quicken or my old beloved Microsoft Money. And the people on the forum were weird and almost cult-like.
I just use Mint and a spreadsheet to track my expenses every month. I think it's weird to do like YNAB wants you to do and say, "Oh well, I spent $200 on groceries this month, I can't spend any more because my budget says so!"
