So the fake SFV saga continued:

I ordered 3 of the Street Fight V discs the other day when they were $10.32 each. They were delivered and I sent one to Bumslie without opening the other two (wasn't ready to play it yet.) Bumslie gets his copy, opens it up...and it's clearly fake. The packaging is all good but the label is paper and the inner ring doens't have the PS4 logo on the back. He tells me, I check my copies, same thing (one even has bubbbling under the paper label.)

Contacted Amazon yesterday; they sent out three replacements, two to me one directly to him. Bumslie's arrived fine and I got one real and one fake copy. Contacted Amazon again and they can't send out another replacement because the system won't let them, the guy says. So now I'm getting a refund on the fake copy.

The original purchase was from Amazon, not a 3rd party reseller like I would have expected in this kind of situation. Kind of crazy. Anybody run into this type of thing before?

Therm did you explain to the guy that that this is costing you like $2 of pure profit because you can't sell the fake games back to the company that sent them to you?

Naa. Even if not for the flip I would have grabbed 1 copy simply because it looks fun. I'll still make ~$15 profit off the order.

 
The MLB 16 servers are complete shit now. Before, they were tolerable, but now we're talking waiting more than 30 seconds or a minute just to switch screens in the menu. Completely fucking ridiculous.

 
I'm really not a fan of this "pitch confidence" in MLB 16.  It seems pretty bullshit that my ace's confidence in his fastball would go away by 3/4 when he misses one pitch outside.

 
Watching Tyler play really highlighted how much the first half of the game was made harder because I used a mace. He was doing so much more damage than I did at that point. He sucked at the game so he died a ton more despite that, but the sword was one-shotting so much and doing so much more boss damage.

Cue a 10 minute discussion of me trying to explain the difference between a megabyte and a gigabyte, followed by mom getting exasperted and accusing me of thinking she's stupid.

 
I'd rather spend 10 minutes cleaning a bunch of junk out all at once than 1-2 minutes regularly for a few files at a time. If I run out of space I'll deal with it then.

 
Dark Souls II has gotten to the can't-wait-to-keep-playing stage for me. I may not get the plat in time for DS3 day-one, but at this point I don't really care.

Considering the PS4 version you have to do the DLC stuff too for the plat I doubt you're going to be able to. That's what I am going to pick back up next (PS3 version) once I need a break from EDF. That last level of EDF 2 is pretty bananas, huge fuck ing flying saucer with at least couple 100 destructible guns on the bottom. 1 playthrough down, 14 to go (not bloody likely).

I never seem to have enough energy for my jetpack / energy weapons. I wish if you picked up an HP pick-up when your health was full it recharged some of your energy instead.

No way I'm going to complete Hard or Nightmare on Sparkle 2. So many damn levels. Not worth it just for one trophy per run.  :wall: Even the normal run gets to be a chore by the end.

I didn't expect Dark Souls II to have so much content. ~20 hours in, I've only gotten one of the four boss souls needed to move on to the final part of the main game, and I've definitely been making progress (currently at Earthen Peak, finished Shaded Woods, haven't entered The Pit yet).

I was tempted even though "after rebate", but they want you to physically mail stuff in. Like through the real live Newman employing post office. fuck that noise.

Also find it funny they mention PES when the rebate thing just days Star Wars gets you the $20 card via the rebate.

EDIT nevermind the last part. PES is automatically added to your cart with Star Wars, which is weird.

There often are differences between NA and EU for physical releases. With it not being announced yet I'd be surprised if it came over here. Maybe, though...it's certainly something that would be good to get the extra visibility from being on shelves.

 
Who the fuck asked for a physical version of OlliOlli? It's a fine game but are we really gonna start making blu-ray discs for a few hundred MB game? Waste of resources for everyone involved.
