PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

And Barca is out, lost 3-2 aggregate to Atletico.

All 4 quarterfinal matchups ended 3-2 aggregate.
Barca lost? fuck. Guess it's up to Bayern to derail Real Madrid.

EDIT: PK in the final minutes, wow. Definitely a good call, was about as blatant of a handball as it gets.

From rural areas. The population is starting to get even more condensed around metro areas than it was before.

Even Pete is a good example of that moving from a smaller city to the metro area of a larger one.

ETA: As much as we give Tyler shit for SLC, it is still a metro area. Atlanta, Portland, and the I-4 corridor are on different levels, but it is still a larger population center than the surrounding area.
Basically this. Every major metropolitan area that I know of has inventory issues. Builders aren't getting loans for houses - they can only get investors for luxury apartment complexes. Land where you can build either has major environmental issues or is in highly undesirable areas, so everything is teardowns and redevelopment.

Here in Charlotte we have 1.7 months of inventory. That means if no other houses got listed, we'd run out of homes for people to buy in a little over a month and a half. That's a crazy seller's market - it's why Mild's seeing people not give a shit about staging homes or even cleaning them. A market where buyers and sellers are on equal ground is 6 months of inventory. During the recession we were seeing 12+ months of inventory.

It's like this with every major market person I talk to around the country. People want to live in the cities, more than we have room for, so people get into bidding wars. It's actually still pretty tough for a lot of people to qualify for loans. Low rates do let people get more house for the money, though, since the majority of people think in terms of monthly payments (friendly PSA: don't).

yeah, unfortunately this is probably true - people are moving north from SF and other california locales because they can telecommute and rent/buy a house in Portland for ~$3k/month and it's still cheaper than their 400sqft 1 bedroom in Silicon Valley. google/ebay/intel/etc offices with more undeveloped nature surrounding the area and they're expecting to be the next tech hub but with less work/life problems. I just wanted to look at some mountains, have access to cool record stores and be able to drive to the ocean. I don't really give a shit about the potential career opportunities. they're ruining it for everybody!
This is what I'm considering doing. O:)

Munky, you definitely dont want to go to some Indiana dentist, you might come out with no teeth.

I've never gone under for anything at the dentist, including wisdom teeth removal, it's always been a local anesthetic.

Sorry for more vinyl talk, but I'm pretty stoked. This came in the mail today. Only 10 of the preorders came signed, and I got 1!

Got an email from BJ's saying they'll either send me a $15 gift card or $15 off my next order because they cancelled a $30 guitar hero 2 guitar bundle last week or so.  Maybe I'll have them send it to my mom as I am nowhere near one.

As long as you don't move here from California, we're okay with it.

You could really go down a rabbit hole reading about the housing and homeless crisis in Portland.

http://www.oregonlive.com/front-porch/index.ssf/2016/04/portland_city_club_draft_repor.html

You can camp freely on the streets now! (just in case Mild can't find a house)

Yup, city life is in. People are realizing they want to have things to do close to them. Not wanting to drive 45 minutes to shop at Target and eat at Carls Jr.
Actually, if you live in Portland you'll be driving 45 minutes to get to those places. Target & Fast Food places are much closer to your house in sub-urban areas, rather than anywhere actually in the "city".

(This is why we live in the suburbs. I want to be near affordable, familiar retail choices. Yes, chains. I don't want to do my grocery shopping at some food co-op or get our clothes from a boutique)

I finally tried chik fil a for the first time. Went with the spicy deluxe sandwich. It was pretty tasty, but nothing I'd go out of my way for now that I've been there.
Some stores have tabasco packets, others have Pete's Hot Sauce or something that says is hot but is a lie, like most internet women. I tend to only go to the ones where I know they have tabasco and put one of those on the spicy sandwich and mix one or two in with those Heinz dip or squeeze ketchup packets.

I've gotten that weird Inception glitch where the CAG page I'm on loads in the quick reply box if I hit the back arrow, twice in a week.

Good news is they'll be down to a payroll of a case of sunflower seeds and a tub of Bazooka at this rate.
Not even. They still owe him 32 mil from the contract he signed with the Dodgers, plus they're still paying huge portions of Nick Swisher's (nearly 15 million) and Michael Bourn's contracts.

Lundqvist took a stick to the eye, looked like it was already bruising when he went to the bench, stuck it out for the last 47 seconds, gave up a goal, and didn't come out for the start of the second.

Apparently Will and Tommy won't be in MIB 23. Dumb.
The name is bad (I think it's just a placeholder name) but it's really just a 21 Jump Street movie that's borrowing the Men in Black universe. I highly doubt it looks at all like any of the other MIB movies.
Did you see Tommy in MIB 3? He is looking crazy old. Without having at least a cameo from Will, it's going to be hard for it not to feel like just a bad knock off. Like if they tried to say Heroes was an x-men show. This is all just making me want to watch the ending to 22 jump street though.

After I crashed and burned pretty hard on Child of Eden I've figured out that rhythm games (unless they are fairly easy) are just not for me. So anything with a rhythm component like that necrodancer game is an easy pass.
Rock Band (Blitz), DJ/Guitar Hero, Frequency/Amplitude are fine. As long as a game has different difficulties for all skill levels then it's all good. But I'm sure someone could show Through the Fire and Flames on Expert or Pro mode and people would say the same about those games.

I hadn't played a music game in awhile so my friend and I decided to have drunk Rock Band night on Saturday and ended up playing from 10pm to 6am. My wrists were dead and hurting all Sunday. I've been really sick since Monday. Taking a break before the next marathon session.

Today on my first day in the job I got a free Powerball ticket, free lunch, free bag of popcorn and soda, drank a beer while watching the Twins home opener across the street, and won Twins tickets in a drawing.

#work
Today I won a pedometer at work. It's basically a FitBit, right? #truestory

I've got 27 pages to catch up on. Challenge accepted!

I'd brag about sex if there were trophies. I'd have my sex trophy card displayed and I'd have the most platinums of anyone.

Imagine if chicks were like games? Tyler would bang a bunch of weird chicks that no one else really likes. Gator would be banging a bunch of Asian chicks that he doesn't have to put a lot of work into. Simmias would make sure he finished 100% of the time. I would bang one chick and then start a bunch but keep going back to the same one even though she hasn't done anything new in six months.

Omg you guys have me laughing all crazy over here with those sex trophy posts. I may actually run out of likes for once.

Edit: Chewy'd. I don't care. That review is good enough to repeat!

Dear munky,

I had a Fulton Sweet Child of Vine during my meeting. Also available was Fulton Lonely Blonde, Summit Saga IPA, Summit EPA, some BauHaus beer, Stella Atois (or whatever), Guinness Draught, Coors Light, New Castle, Blue Moon, and some cider, possible Loon Juice.
Ok, at first I was all "damn, zimm landed himself a great job" but now you're just making shit up.

Congrats fucker.

Watching Kobe about to play his final game has me feeling old as hell :(
Wait until you start hearing about athletes playing in their dads footsteps and you realize you watched their dads play in the prime of their careers! Talk about feeling old!

I'm pretty sure the beginning of 3 was the only part of uncharted I ever played. Didn't click for me at all.
Wouldnt judge the series based on just that, you should find the collection for cheap and give the first two a shot. I think 3 finally picks up about 1/3 of the way through, dont know for sure as Im still early in it.

Did you ever played the new TR? Its basically a UC knockoff when it comes to the combat and climbing around.

My buddy's brother is in town for a couple days for training.  He could have stayed at the nicest hotel in Tampa IMO (Grand Hyatt) but instead chose another hotel cause it was within walking distance of the strip clubs.

He is my new best friend.

If you guys are ever in Tampa you should see if you can go eat at Armani's.  They have a spectacular view of the bay from the top of the hotel.  LOL who am I kidding none of you would spend the money.
