You've gotta try and look at all of these old games/movies (Alien/Mega Man) in the context of when they came out. A horror movie in space was a pretty novel concept at the time, and they really pulled that off brilliantly. I don't know for sure, but Mega Man seems like it had a lot going on that hadn't been done before and was exciting (all levels unlocked from the start, getting power ups from bosses and using them to have an advantage on other bosses, etc.). Plus the music is fucking bad ass.

Plus the only other platform game franchises from that time still alive today that I can think off offhand are Mario and Castlevania and those are both very popular as well. Nostalgia is a very real factor in gaming.

If you talk about the MM 1 then yes maybe I can agree with you. But goddamnit MM2 & MM3 (the game and the soundtrack) are fucking awesome and I'll challenge you to a duel of paper airplane throwing if you say otherwise.

Even better question and more pertinent right now.

Is jon still bound to the nightswatch? His watch ends with his death, so since he died and is now come back alive, his watch is over correct? If so, what role will he play now? Sansa is on her way to him of course, and will give him the details on winterfell when she left, so he wont have much to stop him going there and kicking Ramsay ass. He would have a wilding army after all.

Rhaegar and Lyanna are definitely his parents, no question about it.

Also, they are still not completely past the books yet, I was wondering if they were going to go back to the iron island area and show the kingsmoot, which looks like they are. That was in book 4 or 5, pretty sure 4 but could be wrong.

Comic Con was awesome. We went as the Planeteers Friday, Mario Sports Saturday, and Pokemon Trainers on Sunday. Only a couple instances of socially maladjusted nerds who wouldn't just take their pictures and leave. Cute as fuck on Saturday when we ran into an 8 yr old bowser and got to take a group shot with him. Also my dude proposed on sunday, so I guess I'm one step closer to beating up a teen outside of JC Pennys for reality TV.

God Eater 2 is up on Amazon. I guess the D1 copies come with codes for another God Eater game? Looks cool, I'll probably grab it for some sony platform monhun action.

Are you picking up that resident evil competitive mp game? I've had the tab open for the asia disc version on play asia for like a week and I can't bring myself to close it but I can't bring myself to pay $40 for it either.

When people are talking about the show. Please stop referring to the books unless you separate it in a book labeled spoiler. I do not care or want to know what happened in the books. All that can be for those of us that watch the show is spoilers. Yes, I know you had it in a spoiler, but I would not have read it if I knew it had anything to do with what happened in the books and was not just based on the show which I am up to date on. I admit there was not much of anything revealed in that one, but it is more for the future.

Resurrection is the remaster of the first game, Gods Eater Burst, which was released on PSP. Not a bad deal for $48.

None of that happened in the books, that was speculation.

Yea re read to make sure, not a thing from the books, all pure speculation from the show. That one thing is show and book pretty sure? But thats still complete speculation too.

Also, at this point, as Hillary Clinton would say, we are off the reservation. Show at this point is pretty divergent from the books anyways.

Target has a deal this week. I bought $75 in Live credit for $72 plus I got a $15 Target GC. Not exactly as a good as a straight up 20% off.

Maybe buy $75 in PSN credit and use it to buy the digital game?
