PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Uh-huh, sure. First Class was OK, Days of Future Past was meh, and every trailer for Apocalypse has just looked boring to me.
Ah, internet, you google I couldn't disagree more, and your first image return is an gigantic set of fake tits.

Oh man the Padres just gift wrapped that one to the Giants.  Bottom 9th, 0-0, runner on first, 2 outs.  Pence pops up to shallow right, second baseman looks like he's going to get it but then ran off the ball to give way to Kemp running in from deep right center who I assume called for it, who then dove, missed it, and the runner scored without a throw.

I mean, at least in Xmen the bad guys have an actual agenda. More than half of the Marvel movies seem to be "I'm going to take over the world! Try and stop me!" There's at least a bit of nuance to the Xmen evil doers.

With two Tales games ported to PC and another on the way I'm rather hoping Vesperia follows and that it's the PS3 version making the trip. That was one of the backwards compatibility games I was hoping for with the XB1, but a PC version would actually be better even though their PC ports so far have been lackluster; Durante has been putting out day-1 patches to fix how shitty Bandai-Namco is at PC.

My kids got Google cardboard. It's kind of cool, but it prompts you to press down where you'd find a shutter button on a camera, but there's no actual button. You press and press and sometimes you get lucky and it works. Frustrating. Still it's a pretty cool effect if you don't have to press a button.
You may need to adjust the de comics in the Cardboard. All that button does is touch the screen for you, so maybe the little dongle that touches isn't lined up to touch properly.

Uncle TipTop, you can grind out the last couple of trophies you need for the Yakuza 3 plat. You can do it! I believe in you.
Yeah, I figure I could if I wanted to... it's just a headache I'd rather not endure. Never been a big fighting fan and I'm not interested in learning all the patterns and moves needed to rush those bosses (pretty sure those are the only S ranks I need). Not that I've never gone after trophies that were questionable in fun factor, but that one just seems like a chore to me.

So people who played Overwatch last night, is it the exact same content from the beta? Thought I read somewhere that the beta was essentially the full game.

Still no TMNT reviews. :whistle2:k
Nope.. If they really didn't start sending review copies out until yesterday we probably won't see any today. I only saw that one post you linked yesterday from people who have played it. He ripped it for being short and having all the same environments. I dunno, though, I was clicking around on those Youtube videos you also linked and I thought it all looked pretty solid. Online co-op is also an attractive feature. Will have to keep an eye out for other impressions before I head over to Best Buy after work (who is also giving away $10 fandango money with the game, tempting me further).

Outside of Magneto, that seems to be the mantra of Xmen villains too. Or "I'm going to kill every mutant in the world! Try and stop me!"

I was looking at my on this day shit and saw the full rack of ribs I ate in Charlotte two years ago and now I want many ribs at 9 in the morning.  I also giggled again at the name of the place I had said ribs.  Midwood Smokehouse.  Midwood.  heh heh

There's currently a Cartwheel deal for 25% off the 12gb model, which probably wouldn't do you any good. But I'm sure GameStop still sells refurbished ones.
Depending on the price that may be the preferred way, you just need a drive bracket tray and then can purchase a decent sized HDD for not much more money.

When I researched tray's for my sister when she bought a 12 GB this one had the best rating and worked fine for less than $5. You just have to put the rubber stoppers in the 4 holes and it's good to go.

http://www.amazon.com/DreamSky-Brackets-CECH-400x-SeriesPS3-Playstation-3/dp/B00J0PBPAA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1448773001&sr=8-2&keywords=ps3+hard+drive+mounting+bracket

Then you could get a 500 GB for under $50, this is the one I researched for her and she bought,

http://www.amazon.com/Blue-500GB-Mobile-Hard-Drive/dp/B00C9TECFO/ref=pd_sim_63_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=51sPIf1PH2L&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=1RJ2XET9TJNP7Q7DM5E4

Or you can go for a 1TB, though I've had mine for 7.5 years and 500 GB has been enough for me.

Or maybe you have an extra drive laying around from upgrading a PS4 HDD.

Oh sweet, thats actually pretty good when combined with my Red card, I can just swap in a hard drive later right?
the 12 GB of flash memory is almost completely taken up by the operating system so you will have like a gig and a quarter to play around with before it is full.

Even Magneto gets a pretty shitty portrayal. In the first movie his scheme was to turn all the humans into mutants; him being okay with making a bunch of fakes kind of runs counter to his mutant superiority argument. The third movie has him being okay with sacrificing a bunch of mutants just to kill humans, then casting those mutants aside if they lose their powers which is also problematic. The First Class movies do a better job but don't really portray him as a villain, so he's a bit more nuanced.

Neither X-Men nor Marvel movies are any good at villain motivations, which is part of why Daredevil and Jessica Jones' villain characterizations were so amazing. Kingpin's goals are extremely well-defined and his drive to achieve them is exactly what made him work so well. Killgrave was a self-centered asshole whose obsessions, though shallow, dominated the show completely.

It's a shame movies in general do a poor job portraying villains. They're usually a lot more interesting than the good guys.

The reason TV shows probably have better villains is because they have 13-24 hours to flesh them out with backstory and motivations and other goings on in their layer.  A movie usually has 2-3 hours to do the same.  Movies usually need a resolution by the end of the movie (unless planned sequels and whatnot), where a TV show can stretch that shit over a whole season or two.  Not really that surprising.

They opened one of these in Columbia last year. The wife and I ate there for the first time a few months ago. We got the combo platter; ribs, pulled pork, brisket, sausage. It was all really good. I tried all there sauces, and liked the vinegar one the best. Their signature spicy sauce was pretty good, too.

They also carry some local beers on tap. First time I ever had Westbrook's White Thai. I really like that beer; nice and smooth. I try to keep some in the beererator.

Yeah, it's pretty much the same. I think there's some different maps, because I don't remember them from the beta though. Other than that its just like the beta. Ton of characters and blasting to either control points or move the payload. Still fun though. I've been playing Genji and Pharah the most, trying to not suck at Tracer but that's not going so well.

you guys weren't kidding about the later levels of uncharted on crushing, there's some rage inducing shit.  specifically the end of 17, I just couldn't move around aggressively enough to get the ammo/guns I needed without getting picked off mid-jump or something.  the stuff in 18 so far is irritating in terms of sheer volume of dudes but the water helps confuse the AI.  I'm definitely ready to get to the end.

This is why I'm doing my first play on Normal. So I don't get raged and hate it and can see what it is for what it is.
