that is ironic, the xbox version is supposed to be better anyways(xbox live beats the living shit out of whatever gc uses for online gaming)
As for not being able to play the xbox version offline, why on earth would you wanna play offline? the game is only fun online
The Xbox version of PSO is superior to the gamecube version in many ways except two:
1. gamecube has GBA support, so you get to play downloadable mini games too. So, you can play games like Nights and Puyo Puyo Pop on your GBA.
2. Amount of quests. Xbox PSO has the least amount of quests added, while GC PSO has a new quest added almost every month.
Some people live in areas that only have dial-up internet access, which XBOX does not support. However, GC PSO does.
The reason I would want to play offline is to be able to level up my characters and item hunt. Then when I get a high speed internet connection I can play with an already leveled character. Yes, the game is more fun online, but starting with a bare bones character isn't much fun. There is no reason this game needs an Xbox Live account to even access offline play. And what is the point of buying a game if you can't play it at all?
