Type in "PSP go" on the GameStop website not PSPgo & voila...

Edit : nevermind, I thought you were referring to accessories lol...oops

I've been out of town for the past week, and managed to find a Go here in the Dallas area.

No pre-loaded games, but it's in excellent condition. Can't wait to mess around with it when I get home.

Oh, and I had no idea that it came with a free 1-year warranty. Good stuff.

Free one year warranty? From GS or Sony? I ask because if you're talking about the factory warranty, that won't apply if the system was listed as pre-owned/used.

As for games, were you on PSN when they had the outage due to the hacking by Anonymous? If so, if you logged in to get the free games from Sony from the Welcome Back program, then you can download those to your PS3 and then transfer them to the Go without ever having to connect to the network with the Go system.

Gamestop is running a special promotion. If you buy a preowned system you get a free one year warranty from GameStop.
Boy did I luck out; the previous owner's left a 16GB memory stick inside the PSP Go and left an entire Chris Brown album on the stick. SCORE!
:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I should go look around for one of these cheapass Gos. I have enough stuff on PSN that I bought on sales and whatnot to play the system with just digital content for ages.

Ah. That explains it then. Of course, if they didn't take in such shit in the first place, you might not even need to consider a warranty from them. But at least they are offering one gratis with a pre-owned system right now.

I just wonder what they'd do if they sell outta Go's within that year and there's no other ones left to give you to replace yours if it breaks.

When I bought mine a week ago, I was told I would receive store credit if they couldn't replace it.

We try to find you a store close by who has one to exhange with. If there isn't a close one near by we will order one from another store. If that doesn't work out that's when you get store credit.

Hmm, when I purchased mine back on Tuesday I believe, they tried selling me a warranty. Any way you can show some proof on the free warranty? I'm wondering if I go in and try to ask for one without proof they will try to give me the run-around.

I bought one, was hoping it would be new but obviously wasn't. Turned it on after letting it charge for a couple minutes, and I see a few saved wifi configurations, and the guy still had his PSN sign in on it. -_- Kind of surprised people would forget to check that, let alone Gamestop wouldn't just restore defaults and format the memory.

Wow. Yeah you should've gotten it for free. Here is the link to the free product replacement plan.

Technically you should ALWAYS format the HDD/memory of a game system BEFORE taking it into trade so as to not leave your account info on there. But if you don't then Gamestop is normally supposed to do that before they put the items up for sale. That's why I was worried when I traded in my 40gb PS3, since I believe I did a quick format which wiped out my account, but it left my name up as the primary sign-in.

I bought one off ebay, since there were none at Gamestops near me. Ripped some UMDs from my PSP2000, which has a line on the screen and an unresponsive right shoulder. Had no idea how insanely easy it was. Compressing the ISOs with pspshrink (in Ubuntu), the ones ripped got compressed between 6% and 53%.

Now I'm wondering whether it's immoral to sell my play copies that I ripped the UMDs from and keep only the sealed ones.

I played it for an hour, and it did hurt my hands though. But in shorter bursts, it's great.

Playing PS1 games on a PSP Go with a Dual Shock 3 is a thing of beauty.

Bad news is that I think I've lost my receipt. There goes that 1-year warranty.

God damn, I'm stupid.

I love the fact that the Dual Shock 3 mapping is 1-to-1 with the original Playstation controller. No more wonky key-modifiers to get to L2 and R2!
I lost my receipt too. Couldn't they track that with a PUR account if one was used at the time of purchase?
Sorta. We can only see the last 5 transactions on your PUR account. If you are unable to find your receipt, you're gonna get store credit back if it's within return policy (7 days). You'll need to have your actual PUR card to use in the Guide machine or show them your transaction on your phone (mobile website) if you've made more than 5 transactions.

Will that work for warranties, too? Like, can they check my activity and reprint the warranty if it's within the five transaction time frame?

Warranties are attached by the serial number on your system/console.

We can't reprint receipts, it just shows use your last 5 transactions.

The Gamestop manager that I bought my PSPGo from told me that if I lose my receipt I can still use the 1yr warranty with the serial number on the system.

I managed to score a white one in mint condition...it didn't have an AC adaptor or USB cable, but it came with the charging dock instead :) I figured that was the more expensive of the "charging" items, so I was happy. I went to another Gamestop to look for a black PSPgo, but it was beat to hell and back, so I passed on it.

Couple of questions for you guys:

1. Is anyone using screen protectors? If so, any particular brand or just a generic one online or...?

2. How are the 3rd party (ie. generic) ac adapters and usb cables for these? Should I stick with 1st party? Or better yet, what is the best store to find super cheap PSPgo accessories?

Thanks :)

1. I use a Zagg Full Body Shield for mine. Was a pita to install but works well. If you check zaggdaily.com you can find 50% off coupons.

2. I stick with first party. 3rd party items are work fine, but they dont usually hold up as well in the long run. Best place to find older PSP accessories would be GS because they are trying to get rid of them. I know I saw a Sony PSPgo case in the backroom the other day for $3-5, mightve been marked down even further, but didnt bother to check.

You can check Target for PSPgo accessories, but they're mostly long gone by now. But couldnt hurt to check, that's where I picked up an charge stand and PSP video cables for $5 each.

Hey, hey! Found my receipt in my wallet behind my driver's licence. Happy times.

Just need the component cables and I'll have a mini-console on my hands.
Are any CAGer's still looking for a go?
I am still looking for one. All the ones I come across are in awful condition..

My sears has some of the accessories still on hand. I believe we have the official leather cases and headsets with in-line mics for ~$5-7.

I'd also check TRU. I've gone to a few and they still have a lot of PSPGo accessories on clearance.

Yeah, I saw some of those at Sears as well.

If you're lucky you can find them at Kmart or Sears. On Friday I picked up the official Sony AC adapter, A/V cables and USB cable for $2 each (marked down to $4 + 50% off clearance items) at Kmart. The composite cables were $8 or $9 on clearance and would have gotten 50% off also.

Found some component cables for $4 at KMart. They also had some composite cables, AC adapter, and USB adapter also for $4 each. But no dock.

Still waiting for my PSPGo to be delivered from Cowboom when they had their $69.99 deal. For a system that I swore I would never get, all this CAG talk and deals have sure done away with that old mind-set ...

You're not alone man, lol. I was the same way about the Vita. Then Iwould constantly read the excitement from the AWD thread, and I knew I had to have one. It's definitely worth the $200 I paid for it.

Wish I had your luck. Just got back from hunting, but my Kmart had the Go component cables for $10. Sears, Best Buy, and Target were all busts as well. Shame.

I got the dock via toysrus. It took forever to ship but I finally got it and it's quite nice, ESP when you have it on your desk and the clock screen saver is showing :)
I have yet to hook it up to the tv via component cable and DS3 controller via Bluetooth, but will very soon.

I picked up the dock at Gamestop for $2.99. Unfortunately I don't have a Kmart near me so I'll have to find the ac adapter and video cables for cheap through someone else.

Upgraded to a PSP 3000 from a 1000. It is SWEET! After I sell my PSP phat (probably for like $40) I should come out alright.
FYI for those that didn't see, but Atlus entire PSN catalog of PSP games is 1/2 off in July.
Plus Catherine, Rock of Ages, Droplitz, Cursed Crusade, and minus Gungnir =P

Oops, missed Trine 2.

Woah, just found out you can convert two mini sdhc cards into the PSP 3000 using an adapter. Pretty cool to get 64gb of storage for $40!

I thought you could only use two 16GB micro SD cards at once, for about 32GB. Might get me one of those dual slot ones and try two 32GB cards at once.

I like this one off newegg for $20 each. It's a 32 GB micro SDHC card and has a class 4 write speed. That might be slower than you'd want but it will read files just as fast as a class 10 card. Get two of them and bam, 64 GB of storage for a hell of a lot cheaper than sony ever intended. 32 GB Micro SDHC
You can use this adapter once you get two of the cards. *LINK REMOVED*
It's about $5 more than some of the other adapter's off amazon, but the reviews were pretty mixed on the cheap ones.

Edit: Hmmm. I may need to read up on this more. There does seem to be some arguing about whether 64 gb is supported and if so, it may need a specific adapter and not the one I linked. Some caution is needed I guess.

Edit 2: Okay, so don't use the adapter I listed. Use this one off of amazon instead. From everything I've read, there are confirmed reports of getting 64gb of storage using this adapter and two 32gb micro sdhc cards. PhotoFast CR-5400 Also, this may only work if you have cfw on your psp but I'm not 100% sure. Either way, you should always have cfw (cfw does not equal pirating).
You still need a psp 1000/2000/3000 charger to enable charging while docked, but hey it wouldn't be Sony. And while I love this little device, getting it setup to it max potential adds up. You need the unit, extra memory, cradle, component cables, PSP charger, dual shock. And "in my opinion", before I get flamed, the PS Display with its optimized psp mode, which tacks on another $200, but after its all setup its awesome...
I finally got this all set up... and it's tremendous. I don't know when I'll get back to my 360/PS3 now.

Even though I was late to the game, I was able to track down a new PSPgo that had been converted to used. Couldn't believe my luck. It looks as though the original PSP AC adapters are hard to find. Since I picked up the cradle also, it is my understanding that it is the correct one that is needed?

haha, you and me both. a fellow cag'er out in the suburbs told me about a place that had 4 of them left. took a ride out there today and i was not disappointed. they had three that were in decent condition (2 white ones) and one that looked almost new. i wanted a white one, but the one that was like new was in too good of condition to pass up. after i used some of the store credit i had, i only had to pay $15

there was a goodwill store right next to there to, so i went in just to see what they had, and i found a ps3 wireless headset that was in great condition for $50.

today was a good day.

Only one GS near me and no luck there. Had to head over to Cowboom but payed the exact price for a system that looks brand new. For the price I am not disappointed in any way. Now, the search for the white one continues.

Did find the pleather case @ GS for $1.99. Don't think it was ever used either ...
Is the store locator broken for everyone?
The new ones aren't going to show up anymore since they were converted to used. You just have to go or call around to see if any stores still have new ones available.
