I just woke up late today to find I got some more crappy mail from Playstation Underground. I opened it up and inside is a letter congradulating me on becoming a member, even though I've been a member for two years already. Included was a $5 coupon off any PS2 game at BB with no minimum price and expires July 3rd, 2006. It's not a super deal, but this could either lead to a free game or save you some money on games that are below $19.99 (ie. games that won't work with the GGC).

I understand that this is probably a random thing since most PSUnderground stuff is so not everyone will get it.
They don't accept online coupons!?!?! thats BS! Can stores make their own policy?
Well, that is what they said, I imagine that the managers would said the same too.:whistle2:|

Well concidering the coupon is supposed to be mailed to the people who use it, they probably just said that to keep you from using a scan, which could technically fall under the "no copies" stipulation on the front of it if they bothered to take a stance.

Used a color coupon to pick up Duel Masters free - after it rang up free - the cashier called the manager over and the manager asked where I got it. I said that I got it via email from Playstation Underground. He let me keep the game. He (as opposed to the cashier) kept the coupon. I got the impression he was going to check into it.

Even if they call over the manager, just say you got it in an email from playstation underground. Worse that can happen is they reject the coupon

people on here always act like there gonna be arrested for using a fake coupon its actualy a good thing if the manager comes over with an additude cause u can end up with a free gift card from a complaint.

Explain this "free" gift card process lol...

Used it Tuesday to pick up Slient Hill 4, then sell it at EB Games along with a bunch of other games. I sized it at about 4 x 6, and it was in color. The guy was able to scan it. Very easy.

Other than the cashier doubting my ability to use it (and my wife thinking I was kidding when I said I'd be getting the game for free), it was cake.

Duel Masters was the only $5 PS2 game left, so for a grand total of 0.00, it was mine. Too bad I bought it for $5 months ago when they only had 1 copy and not 193894. I guess I'll add this to every Best Buy trip until July. ;-)

I saw it Duel Masters for $5 as well... it's prety much the only $5 game at BB ATM... I may wait a while to see if there are any new price drops.

I used the coupons to pick up Mortal Kombat: Deception and Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift for $5 each yesterday.

Btw, where can I find the MK: Deception Kollector's Edition (PS2) for cheap?

I'll probably pick up Duel Masters too...can't resist a free replacement case...lol.
I got mine at Sears for $10.
Nice. Now only if I could find a Sears that still has some...

I tried using the $5 off coupon today at Best Buy to buy Rainbow Six 3 (PS2) which retails for $9.99. I was also doing a pricematch for Half-Life 2 Episode 1 to the Circuit City $7.99 price. The coupon scanned but did not take $5 off. The cashier said it was because I already was pricematching something else on the receipt so he took off the Rainbow Six. Then after I bought HL2 Eps 1, he started a new transaction and again the coupon scanned fine but did not take $5 off. He tried using the manager override code he had used for the pricematch but it wasn't taking it. So I told him to forget about it.

Has anyone else experienced any trouble with this coupon recently?

Yes. The coupon scanned with MK: Deception ($9.99) but didn't take $5 off. Cashier had to pull out the yellow form and overwrite.

The coupon worked flawlessly when I bought Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift though.
I still have yet to use my coupon  I'm holding out for no reason really.
I, on the other hand, am using them repeatedly to clean my BestBuy out of Jampacks (a hopeless task, as they have so stinkin' many, but I'll try nonetheless)... trading the Jampacks to EBgames, after I swap them for less pristine cases--earn a little credit, improve the casing of my games, and clear out Best Buy's inventory...

;)

The register still automatically takes the discount even if the jampack is less than $5???

Why wouldn't they? Rise of the Kasai is 4.99, and the $5 off coupon works. Based on the "Computers are stupid" postulate, you'd be owed a penny.
Damn man, that is nice. Does anyone know of some good $10ish games at BB we can use this on?
$4.99
Rise of Kasai

$9.99
Desert Storm
Genji: Dawn of the Samurai
Mortal Kombat: Deception
Ghost Recon
Splinter Cell
Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow
Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift

There are more but these are some of the worthy ones that I remember...

Just brought Wild Arms 4 for $15 + tax, not bad at all!

As for good deals, try Silent Hill 4, get it for $5 + tax at BB and trade in to GS for $9!

Thanks again to the dude posting the scan, you rock mate!!

Wild Arms 4 is on clearance for $8.96 at Circuit City. Save yourself $6 + tax if you have a CC nearby.

I don't recommend using the coupon multiple times, because they make you sign a form with your name and address for accounting purposes and you can't, it might impose some legal issues if the store decides to audit the coupon.

I don't know when, but it happened to me when i bought game in store, the coupon wouldn't scan, so the manager approved of manual input of the code and asked me to signed the form for record purposes.

I have bought 3 games (all free after coupon) and not had to sign anything - one time the cashier even called over the manager to make sure it was OK. I would say that your experience is probably individual store policy.

You got all 3 games at the same time? I thought the coupon says one coupon per customer.

I had to do that once for something else.

My name was John Smith.
And I lived on: 123 Hickory Street.

You take these coupons far too seriously--most employees really don't care, from my experience anyway, what you do with a coupon, as long as it doesn't involve extra work for them. I've used this (and the previous coupon) to grab multiple free games on several occasions at numerous Best Buys... never hurts to try, unless you run across a truly psycho employee... in which case, they have no right to yell at you in the first place, unless they want to lose their job.

Thanks your help, what you said makes sense, I am always the paranoid one. I'll use my alta ego name for the paper form next time, hope they don't match name with credit card.

Name: Mario Mama Mia
Location: Yoshi Island

I got this coupon to work twice today at the big Circuit City Sale.

Got "Get on the Mic w/ microphone" for $.96 cents & "Eyetoy antigrav w/eyetoy" for $3.96.

Awesome Coupon!!!

Wait, how the fuck are people using this at CC? I don't think the people at my Circuit City are stupid enough to be fooled by a coupon with a giant Best Buy logo on it, or apathetic enough to let it slide.

I couldn't work the coupon with the CC clearance as the lady said it was a clearance item.

Also, my BB won't let me use the coupon on Kasai anymore, claiming that it has to be more than $5.

Well, I never thought to use the coupon at CC, but after I went to CC and got a bunch of stuff from the sale I went up the road to Best Buy and used 2 of the coupons to walk out with Duel Masters and a Jampack (the one with Okami) for free.

It was a minor victory, but worth it for the 10 total minutes I spent traveling to Best Buy and in the store. The Duel Masters turned into about $3.85 in EB credit and the Jampack allowed me to return the one I bought for $1.99 at Target. Whoo-hoo, now that's being a cheap-ass!

Of course I was hoping they would have Rise of Kasai, Genji, or Silent Hill 4, but at least I walked out with something.

Well I manageed to get a free Jampack disc using this coupon. The barcode didn't scan, but the girl typed it in and it rang up correctly. Now I got me a new case to fix up the used Hulk : UD I got at a yardsale for 5 dollars (the case had the little plastic on front ripoffed).

Headed out to BB today because of Dashboard Confessional's new cd. So I decided to use this coupon there today and got MK:D for 5 bucks. Not bad at all. 12 bucks total for Dashboard's cd, and MK:D thanks to the 3 dollars off for showing student ID on the CD, and the 5 dollar coupon. Score.
Picked up EyeToy: Spy for $4.99 AC, as well as Jampack 13 & 14 free AC.
Gotta love those free Jampacks!
