I'm currently desperate to find new copies of Golden Sun 2: The Lost Age (GBA) and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3: Rebel Strike (GC). Both games are out of print, but if new should be 19.99. I've given up on Rebel Strike, because even though my roommate and I want a really good multiplayer game, I don't think the single player is worth it.
But I really want Golden Sun 2. I just started the first one again (I never finished it, but I got far and then made a decision that prevented me from going back and exploring a lot of the game world...something about a Venus temple or something...I don't remember. Anyways, its a hell of game, and I want to have the sequel for when I really finish the first one. A lot of people say the sequel is better than the first one.
Anyways, I just ordered it from gamestop, even though its backordered. I called their customer support and the guy said it was indeed out of print, but that its possible there are copies somewhere in the country that are on a store shelf or in a back room, and that gamestop.com contacts the stores and asks them to send the game to them to they can send them out to people who ordered online.
Is this game worth waiting for? I will never be charged unless it ships, but I don't want to have my order just sitting there if there's no hope. Has anyone else ever heard of a game being backordered and out of print but actually being sent out?
Thanks.
