Racial Quotas and Affirmative Action post Obama
Come to Los Angeles and do a survey in every single hood. If you can find 100 white people out of the millions in the hood, I'll give you a million bucks.

I've lived in various (good and bad) locations in LA. All of the bad areas (I've lived everywhere from Venice to East LA) there are almost zero white folks to be found.
You've managed to convince me you are unable to accept statistics compiled by the Census Bureau, instead arguing your personal experiences and perceptions are more valid as measurements. Bravo.
Hold it right there. It is NOT a semantics issue. You are claiming something that is untrue. If you said "a greater proportion of blacks and Hispanics are in poverty than whites and Asians," I would agree with you. It's fact. But you are saying there are "more" blacks and Hispanics in poverty than whites. This is not true at all, and yes, it does make what you say mean something completely different.
First, someone else said that, not me. :D

Second, I assumed he meant a greater proportion rather than a greater number, thus I said it was semantics in that I thought he misspoke (or mistyped in this case). A lot of times people say "more" rather than "greater proportion." But yes, if he really did mean more, he was wrong as I said in my post above.

Proportions are all that matter here. It's stupid to look at sheer numbers since there are so many more whites than blacks in the country. What matters is that a much greater proportion of blacks live in poverty than whites.

Here's a direct quote from a Census Bureau report about who lives under the poverty level in America:
 • In 2003, among people who reported a single race, the poverty rate for non-Hispanic whites was 8.2 percent, unchanged from 2002.

 • People who reported black as their only race, for example, had a poverty rate of 24.4 percent in 2003.
The percent of African Americans living under the poverty is nearly TRIPLE that of whites. Nearly one in four blacks in this country live under the poverty level!

Percent is what matters here because there are way less minorities in this country than there are whites (obviously).

You've managed to convince me that you're quite the ignorant beast, bravo.
I think Mslut has a second account that hasn't been caught yet. Either that or he has a twin brother who's even less articulate.
You do realize that since I've quoted you you can't just go and change what you said (to which I responded), right? Because this is not what you said before at all. You know that, right?

Just because the poverty rate is only three times higher for blacks, it does not mean that every hood has a 1:3 ratio of whites to blacks.

Boy, you aren't the sharpest knife in the drawer.

It's easy to knock down arguments I never made while ignoring responses that thoroughly discredit what you wrote. Nice try though.

It's easy for you to knock down arguments backed up by facts while pretending to have had a valid point.
