[3/26/25 edit] Raise.com has been re-named! It is now called GCX - Gift Card Exchange. They still sell discounted gift cards, and they still offer the "$5 for me and $5 for you" referral promo, but coupons and deals are not nearly as great as they once were. I'm also no longer able to verify if new customer coupons are valid. But I'm still around to answer questions (you can PM them to me).

If that person was trying to scam Raise they could redeem the code themselves, or continue selling it on to other sites leaving the customer with a bad code. If you get a bad code they will refund you in full. You can take steps to safeguard yourself by using your gift card as soon as possible, or adding the code to your video game wallet where it will be safely stored until you are ready to use it.

Tips:
1. The most common issue with ordering is needing to be verified. Raise has very strict security checks and your order may be flagged if there are any discrepancies between your payment and registration info. This most often affects new users and you will need to call them to sort it out.
Raise customer service number is (888) 578-8422. If you call during business hours and it tells you the phones are down, it just means they are busy. Try calling again in a few minutes.
CAGs have reported the phone reps are usually pretty nice and helpful, but getting connected can be slow.

2. Using the app will allow you to pay with Paypal and will even reserve the card in your cart for 10 minutes. This is extremely helpful during popular sales. On the app, the enter promo code section is a little easy to miss, it's right under the word Subtotal in the shopping cart.

The email I got said it expires at 11:59pm on 5/28, but the email also says early access, so they may have another promo code for the rest of the weekend.

I bought an invalid $25 yesterday. No response yet after flagging it. There were a lot of $25 cards for the same price, so I’m assuming it’s a bad batch.

Thanks for this info! I was able to get $55 eshop for $41.xx after new user code 10RAISEAF. I had a few issues that were of my own doing but it was smooth sailing once I got my own part right. I also had to contact customer service today (Saturday) at about 4pm Eastern Time (again, my fault) and got right through on the number listed above.

I finally got a refund for my 4 bad Xbox cards.  It took a bit over a week and included multiple chat sessions, phone calls, and emails including having to send screen captures of the codes not working, 3 times.  I'm not going to bother with these clowns again.

I have yet to get a response, but I’ve been less proactive. I’ve *only* flagged the invalid card on my account and emailed twice. I attempted a chat during the available hours, but got an error saying to try again during available hours. I’ll probably just dispute the charge on my credit card. Definitely never buying here again.

Support replied to my email after about a week saying there was a typo in the code and asked if I wanted a replacement or refund. I said replacement was fine. They updated the code in my account but didn’t bother to tell me. I eventually was able to use the chat to get a refund after the replacement code didn’t work either. Refund took a few days to go through and they gave me $5 credit fwiw.

Just placed my first order with Raise. Ordered a $50 and $10 gift card for Steam, using the 10raiseaf promo code. Purchase went through no problem. Tried to redeem the cards right away, and the $50 one says the code has already been redeemed on Steam. Not very impressed with this organization!

Thanks. I reported the card, but haven't heard from anyone yet. I might have to try to call them tomorrow. Really wanted the Steam credit ASAP to buy the new Final Fantasy releases while they are still on sale.

You’ll definitely have to call/chat to get any kind of response. I flagged a card and emailed about it and got no response for over a week.

I tried a bunch of promo codes today and all of them are either expired or for new customers only. It looks like returning customers only get the codes they put out for holidays/random sales and we usually get emails about those.

In other news, they reactivated the $10 off $40 new customer code!

10RAISE40AF gives $10 off a $40 purchase which is much easier to use than the $10 off $50 code. But again, you need to be a new customer to use it.

Any way to sign up with a new account on Raise and use the first timer coupons? I have a few addresses and credit cards, but their detection system seems pretty good and usually denies me. I signed up once, three years ago, and used a coupon then. Trying to get some discounted Apple Store gift cards to waste on shitty horror movies during the $2.99 movie sale currently going on. Sometimes the principle of spending full sale price on something I know will suck that my friends might not even enjoy isn't palatable.

I tried in the past with my wife's card and info and it was denied which was surprising. Possibly if you have different billing address for a different card it could work. Not sure if it is an IP thing or address related.

This is the third or fourth “save XX% on everything” promotions they’ve done in the past few weeks after seemingly not offering them for several months prior to now. We must be coming up on their fiscal year end or something!
 
It's nice if nothing else for gc like bob evans which are usually already 20% off. Of course now that they are only open lunch hours I can't use them as much. But it is what it is.
