Recent Gamestop Price Drop List (on New Merchandise Only)

Most of the stuff that Gamestop price drops tends to be in line with universal price drops, but because not all of them are, this thread is warranted. Also, if the price of the new item has dropped in price, expect the used item price to similarly follow suit and be $2-$5 less than its new retail price. Sometimes the used version drops first, but both are often around the same time.

Many of these items are sold out in stores since they're old and won't get restocked (Gamestop, after all, tends to make most of its money from selling used games), so you'll have to do a zip code store search for the appropriate title to hopefully find it in your area if you can't buy the item online.

All of this information is presented on the Gamestop website, but because of their new "Price Drop" algorithm, it doesn't really display when new price drops hit. Since I started keeping a running list for current platforms, I figure its easy enough to do a comparison to my lists every week. I generally run the reports once a week on Wednesday mornings, because I've noticed most price drops occur on Monday or Tuesday mornings so I wanted to catch those on the weekly report. If you find price drops sooner than my weekly Wednesday morning report, feel free to post them in the thread so others can get a "head start". I no longer have time to maintain this thread due to my new job but feel free to continue posting Gamestop price drops in this thread or if anyone wants to take over just let me know. Thanks!

It's weird - Gamestop raises prices on games that were given price drops earlier. It seems almost as if the price drops are sometimes temporary, because I noticed that Frontlines and MX vs. ATV Untamed dropped to $49.99 about a month back, but two weeks ago they was moved back up to $59.99 and today they dropped to $49.99 again. Blacksite dropped to $19.99, but now it's back at $39.99! Weird stuff.

Also, I'm not sure how it works when Gamestop labels the price drops with "temporary price reduction" tags, but I noted them anyway. Seems they only apply to Sega titles, which if any of you were interested in you would have picked up by now already.
