Most of the stuff that Gamestop price drops tends to be in line with universal price drops, but because not all of them are, this thread is warranted. Also, if the price of the new item has dropped in price, expect the used item price to similarly follow suit and be $2-$5 less than its new retail price. Sometimes the used version drops first, but both are often around the same time.

Many of these items are sold out in stores since they're old and won't get restocked (Gamestop, after all, tends to make most of its money from selling used games), so you'll have to do a zip code store search for the appropriate title to hopefully find it in your area if you can't buy the item online.

All of this information is presented on the Gamestop website, but because of their new "Price Drop" algorithm, it doesn't really display when new price drops hit. Since I started keeping a running list for current platforms, I figure its easy enough to do a comparison to my lists every week. I generally run the reports once a week on Wednesday mornings, because I've noticed most price drops occur on Monday or Tuesday mornings so I wanted to catch those on the weekly report. If you find price drops sooner than my weekly Wednesday morning report, feel free to post them in the thread so others can get a "head start". I no longer have time to maintain this thread due to my new job but feel free to continue posting Gamestop price drops in this thread or if anyone wants to take over just let me know. Thanks!

Not much in terms of price drops this past week except for mostly EA titles. The good ones like Burnout Paradise and Metal Slug 7 have already been mentioned. Command & Conquer: RA3 dropping is relatively notable, since it's a pretty new title and Dead Space for PC dropped $10. I wonder if that is an indicator that the console versions will get a price drop soon...

I was going to report some of these yesterday, but I figured I'd wait for Espionage to do it better than I would.

I almost bought Mass Effect AND Red Alert 3 yesterday when I saw the white stickers.

Nerf-N-Strike is pretty hefty drop too. That gun that comes with it is practically worth $20 by itself.

Nice to see the Nerf N-Strike drop. I actually saw the tag in store, and mentioned that I didn't think they'd sell a bunch at $60, but the clerk said they did. Still too high for me, but good to see it drop.

Almost sounds like how the DS version of Myst turned out.
 
With the price drop on Mercs 2, it's definitely a flippable game back to BBV if you use Edge + 10% coupon. It's a 1:1 flip, but it will allow you to pick up a couple of $9.99 Wii titles that you can flip back to GS using the $30 trade-in promo. Once you return the game, you'll have made about $10 on the flip. For CAG vets, a 2:3 flip probably isn't worth it, but for rookies like me who are still trying to build up credit, it might be worth it.
 
A few decent drops on the Wii end this past week...other than that, maybe Bully but it seems like people are already finding that out the hard way with Gamestop only giving like $5 trade in credit for it instead of $10 now.

I'm interested in it, but I've heard the anime isn't good.
Is the bonus disc worth the extra cash?
Note: I'm a pretty big dmc fan

I would say definately go for it for $30, I paid $70 for it when it came out after a BB coupon. I thought the anime was pretty good, but I'm not an anime conissour. That anime disc retails by itself for $15-$20 so think about that.

I haven't looked at the other disc much so I can't comment on that. You can get the retail case for it for $4 and in terms for the disc 2 SE coupon, look up the old thread in the DVD forum on it, but the site that takes the coupon now when you use it puts it the same price as BB charges for the same thing.

I bought it used for the PS2, but never got around to playing it. I think I'll pick it up used for either 360 or Wii, once there is a decent coupon or b2g1 deal. I'm leaning towards the Wii version, though.

Exact same ones I was looking at. I know Opoona got some average reviews, but it sounds pretty interesting as the entire game is apparently played with only the Nunchuk. I guess for $13 in GS credit (whenever a 20-25% off Wii games coupon rolls around) it would be worth it.
 
Nice work, espionage.

Trauma Center: New Blood has been mentioned before, but it's a really fun game. God, the plot and writing is terrible, but the gameplay is a blast. Also, co-op surgery. Unbelievably neat. $10 off is neat too.

Really, you couldn't get past the first one slidecage? Just buy a guard and tap to shoot the things coming at you. Easy as pie. C'mon... It was definitely a "change of pace" from the regular game and a bit odd, but I liked those stages. Besides, they are a very small part of the game. Speaking of which, I still need to finish Lock's Quest - I stopped playing on the very last stages for some reason.

As for the new drops, yeah, the price drop on Bully sucks since I still had a copy to trade in. On the other hand, it is now a great price for someone who hasn't picked it up yet. I would definitely recommend that at $20. And it appears I have a mint copy to add to my trade list (since the GS trade-in value is crap now) :lol:.
 
Going to pick up Little Red Riding Hood after I get off work here in a little bit. I called earlier and my local GS had the 1 copy the got when the game came out still left. Little bummed I'm not getting a sealed copy on this one, but oh well, I really want to play it anyway.

This is a fun little game to pick up and play. I bought it a couple weeks ago. Good mindless fun.

They shouldn't have to. If it is listed for a price on the website, it should be exactly the same in-store. You could call to confirm beforehand, or bring a print-out I guess.
But it shouldn't be an issue.
 
Got the dmc4 ce. Gutted, unfortunately. The discs had all sorts of dust and smudges, but it seems like they cleaned up ok.
Quick question, though: The preview images I'd seen of the case shows room for two discs, the game disc and the bonus DVD. The PS3 version I got only has one slot for a disc, the bonus DVD came in a paper sleeve.
Does the 360 version have a two-disc case, or something?
 
Slight update, not that anyone cares:
dmc4 has frozen on me three times in as many play-sessions. I guess I'll see if the other display copy fares any better.

Are you playing the 360 or PS3 version?

If its the 360 one try clearing your Cache
