Most of the stuff that Gamestop price drops tends to be in line with universal price drops, but because not all of them are, this thread is warranted. Also, if the price of the new item has dropped in price, expect the used item price to similarly follow suit and be $2-$5 less than its new retail price. Sometimes the used version drops first, but both are often around the same time.

Many of these items are sold out in stores since they're old and won't get restocked (Gamestop, after all, tends to make most of its money from selling used games), so you'll have to do a zip code store search for the appropriate title to hopefully find it in your area if you can't buy the item online.

All of this information is presented on the Gamestop website, but because of their new "Price Drop" algorithm, it doesn't really display when new price drops hit. Since I started keeping a running list for current platforms, I figure its easy enough to do a comparison to my lists every week. I generally run the reports once a week on Wednesday mornings, because I've noticed most price drops occur on Monday or Tuesday mornings so I wanted to catch those on the weekly report. If you find price drops sooner than my weekly Wednesday morning report, feel free to post them in the thread so others can get a "head start". I no longer have time to maintain this thread due to my new job but feel free to continue posting Gamestop price drops in this thread or if anyone wants to take over just let me know. Thanks!

Actually, it's the PS2 version of Sled Storm being the last one. Might not have earned as high marks as the PS1 version but still not too shabby a game.

The old ones do, but they have new ones now that came out about a week ago along with some other Ghostbusters and Transformers themed stuff. That stuff is still $20 or so. Definitely not pennied out yet.
 
Original OP no longer works for Gamestop and doesn't have access to the info.

I saw 360 version of Prince of Persia CE for $24.99 new today.

I'll start this Friday/Saturday and list everything for all current gen systems and handhelds.
The week after I'll only note changes and new items.

Doesn't that sound like a HUGE list? Anyway, hope you or some starts putting the updated price drops on GS again soon. Sometimes a couple of games drop fast and GS can have a lead on those prices. Thx.

Alright, I had starting making my large lists but didn't post them as I hadn't finished every system. Since then I've noticed a few things change, I figure I'll just with that now.

After I do this a few times, I may go ahead and create a new thread to keep better track of it all.

Yeah, I had it on my old list, so I didn't add it to to the changes I saw this week.

But you're right, Riddick for both dropped to 39.99.
 
I think it's universal, because now I've seen it at two places, but World in Conflict The Complete Edition (comes with Soviet Assault and original) went from $30 to $20 new, now I've seen it at both Gamestop and now Walmart, in case anyone wants a good PC RTS game.

Has anyone ordered a new item online from GS only to get a gutted copy? It has no seal either and a scratch on the ps3 disc label side, could i make an in-store exchange?

Do not buy from GameStop.com. I recently ordered SFIV from them and it was technically sealed(at some point) but since they shipped it in a crappy UPS envelope the binding for the case was smashed and the seal was broken. GameStop refuses to exchange it for another copy because of that.
 
call them and complain - you can get a free credit...

are you serious even though its for the same game as their policy states with new opened games? I too got the SF IV online from them and came in a bubble mailer, but my disc has a scratch from like a blade or something on the label side. I have not tried the game yet but its annoying to see something that's suppose to be new be jacked up like that. I hate GS gutting. I'll try the game now and see if there's any problems otherwise I'm calling them.
