The store nearest me wouldn't do it for me either, I guess only the stores in the rich neighborhoods do it . The store that the clerk recommended is called Retro games, I've heard of them but never been there since I don't drive to Fullerton if I don't have to. I hate driving in traffic so unless I'm going on vacation or to work I stay near home. It ended up being worth it for me to go to the store in Brea because they had a wavebird for $17 and I bought the limited edition of Battlefield: bad Company 2 for $30 :D.
Damn rich bastards, stealin my ninja five o. :bomb:
Although at least you got something good out of it, glad you didn't waste a trip up there.

Bump...

I got my stuff today and I love those new Glow in the Dark Metroid pixel art. I forgot to ask last time, what type of computer do you have and can it run newer games? Thanks for all the freebies, now I have to think of something cool to include next time I ship you something ;)

Glad you like your pixel art and the freebies, My fiancee laughed her ass off when she saw I was putting Mcdonalds coupons in your package. Hope you find a use for em though.

Also, do you have Rock Band 2 for the PS3? If you do I have another freebie for you. :D

As for my computer, It's somewhat old, the most recent game I attempted to run on it was the Fallout Trilogy, which ran just fine. I haven't tried anything more recent, and the fact that my disc drive is broken doesn't exactly help.

Bump, I'm going to be dismantling most of the list in a few days, pretty much everything will be either put in dv8mad's ultimate lowball or traded in, so get stuff while you can!!

Thanks, I had my nieces visiting me and they love Frappe's so they say thanks ;) I only have Guitar Hero but I don't play it very often anymore, thanks anyway. I have a whole bunch of extra CD/DVD drives tell me what connection it uses (IDE/SATA) and I'll send you one. I was curious what kind of PC you have because there is a free game on Steam called Alien Swarm that's awesome. It's for four players online and I think I might be addicted to it:lol:

Glad they're gonna get used then, I've still got around twenty sitting in a pile at my work.
I'm fairly certain mine is SATA, It's a Powerspec from 03 I think, so I'm somewhat sure that it would be SATA. I'm at work right now so I can't check. I'd greatly appreciate the drive though. :D
What kind of game is Alien Storm? And is it a graphics heavy game? If it's not, I might be able to run it, I'll have to check it out.

Bump..

How in the world did you get so many McDonald's coupons? Did you check to make sure what type of drive it is? I don't remember Computers from 2003 using SATA, I'm pretty sure they still used the IDE connection at that time. Alien Swarm is a squad based top down shooter, the requirements are:

 • OS: Windows® 7 / Vista / Vista64 / XP
 • Processor: Pentium 4 3.0GHz
 • Memory: 1 GB for XP / 2GB for Vista
 • Graphics: DirectX 9 compatible video card with 128 MB, Shader model 2.0. ATI X800, NVidia 6600 or better
 • Hard Drive: At least 2.5 GB of free space
 • Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

One of my mother's friends delivers papers and sometimes gets a ton of coupons. She passed around a hundred of the coupons on to my mom, who in turn passed about fifty of them to me. I then passed them on to random people, threw them in with trades, and gave about ten to a bum who lives on the street in front of my work. Out of the fifty or so that I got, I've used one. :D
And you were right, it's an IDE connection, I just checked. So of course if you happen to have a spare dvd drive with an IDE connection, I'd appreciate it. :D
Checking all of the requirements there, the only things that would prevent it are my processor (Pentium 4 2.8 GHz) and my Video card which, I think, is the one that came with the computer, meaning it probably sucks ass. I can give it a shot though and see if it will play anyway, got a link to it or do I just search for it on steam?
So what's the biggest pixel art you think you can make? I sort of want something close to life size.
Well, I can make one as big as you want it, the real problem is more with the cost of all of the beads, as well as the shipping.
I Could make something this size or even bigger, cost is really the only issue.
What exactly were you thinking of?
OMG MUST HAVE MEGA MAN PIXEL ART!!! i will defiantly get back to you when i get paid on tuesday!
I take it you like the mega man.
Just let me know whenever you'd like to buy/trade for it. I looked over your list and I might have to get that Two Worlds CE from you, so let me know if you'd like to work out a trade.

That's cool, you gave me the perfect amount for my older nieces/nephews. I try to not encourage the younger ones to go to McDonald's since they always get chicken nuggets. I have four extra CD-RW drives one DVD-ROM drive and one DVD-RW drive, I'll try to send the DVD-RW this Monday along with your game ;) Is the Pentium 4 processor that you have a dual core?

Awesome, thats great, seriously thanks. And yeah I think it's a dual core, not too positive on that though.
I must have some of your pixel arts :O...I will get back to you once I make some decisions, haha!
Glad that I'm getting some more interest in my pixel arts. :D
I pm'd you back about the ones that you wanted.
Free bump just because the pixel art looks cool. Ever thought of doing Bub and Bob from Bubble Bobble?
Already done :D
Bub_and_Bob_Bead_Sprites_by_ZaneBellamy.jpg.png

These were actually some of the first that I made, although I ended up giving them to a friend of mine. They wouldn't be too expensive in case you were interested. ;)

I guess shipping would be a big issue. I was thinking of some CT figures maybe that were about 4'-5' tall, but I can't imagine how the shipping would even work out for those. The cost of the beads isn't my main concern, but the shipping would probably not go over well, cost and also how easily it might get damaged during shipping.

Well, to give you an idea of shipping, I'd probably ship it in a similar method to what I did when I shipped out a bunch of those GS posters. I'd lay it flat and sandwich it in between several cardboard boxes and ship it UPS Ground. It would probably cost close to $20 just for shipping, but that would be with an extreme amount of padding, so the chances of it breaking are pretty slim. I'd put it inside of at least 4 cardboard boxes, so you'd have a hell of a time bending/breaking it.
Do you have a picture of what you wanted? If so I can get a rough estimate of how much it would cost and how long it would take me.

If you do have a dual core PC then you can definitely run it, I have a 2.4 GHz quad core and I can run most of the newer games without any problem. Congrats on the Pixelart sales, I told you they were awesome but I don't think that too many people knew what they were.

Like I said, It couldn't hurt to try, so I'll have to check it out. Not sure if I asked, but do you have a link to it or do I just search for it on Steam?
Nevermind, I just signed up for steam, installed it etc, and I'll search for the game in a second. I'll let you know if it works later on tonight.
My pixel arts tend to go through phases, I'll usually go about a month without selling any, and then suddenly get three different orders all at once. After a while it dies down again, and I go back to making some for myself until I get some more orders. Hopefully I'll get around to putting up a website to sell them at eventually, but I never seem to have enough time to work on making one.

Edit to respond to Square:
I was actually probably just going to put it in dv8mad's lowball, although if you want it I'd want around $20 for it. And since I think I forgot to get back to you on the GBA Micro, I'd want about $30 for that. Obviously they're up for offers though.

So did Alien Swarm run okay? Let me know what your Steam name is and I'll include you in my friend list. That's too bad, hopefully you start getting steady orders. I'll try to order some more Glow in the Dark Metroid themed Pixel art from you in September. I would have bought some this month but I ended up buying a few extra games from Steam and GameStop this month to trade online.

I sent you that DVD-RW drive and your game, hopefully I packaged them well enough so that they don't get damaged. There is a small package of screws near the top of the box that are for the drive, I included them just in case you didn't have any extra ;)

It didn't run, at all. I downloaded it, and when I started it up it was stuck at a white screen. I tried again and it did the same thing, I let it sit at the white screen for about an hour and still nothing. I also tried another game, some zombie game demo, that loaded, but the graphics were shit. All of the text was blurred and the character models kept flashing. I'm assuming it's my graphics card, which as I said, is shit. So it looks like I won't get to join you in Alien Swarm just yet.
But on the bright side, I should be able to buy a Laptop before too long, and once I do I should be able to run it no problem.
As for my pixel art, hopefully when/if I get a website up business will pick up a bit. I've got my "test" site up and running now and I'm learning the ropes and how to work everything. Since I'm broke though and don't want to invest too much money into it, I'm just going to use one of those free website services or something like that. I'm using webs right now and it works pretty well for what I'm trying to do.

Thanks for getting them shipped out so quick, I'll let you know when it arrives. And thanks for the extra screws, I'll probably need them.

Also, thanks for the bumps everybody. :D

Aww, that's too bad I was hoping that it would run:cry: Well hopefully you get that new laptop soon, I'm waiting until the next holiday sale to finish upgrading my PC so let me know if your looking for anything in particular. That's cool send me a link to your test site so I can see it;) You should probably get the drive in about a week, it was a bit heavy so I sent it Parcel post.
bump for some great looking pixel art! Recommended to anyone who is interested in buying.
Glad you like it, although I think your Black Mage might get kind of lonely soon, maybe you should buy a White Mage to go along with him.

I don't really intend to get anything fancy, just enough to download music, play a couple of games, etc. I'd actually prefer another desktop, but from what I can tell they tend to be more expensive than Laptops/Netbooks, and I of course need something incredibly cheap.

I'll post a link to the site in a couple of days once I clean it up a bit. Right now it's essentially just a bunch of inside jokes and random things that I felt like posting. Although I did write quite an amazing blog over there. ;)

And I actually already got the drive, it got here yesterday and I just forgot to post. :D
As always, everything is in great shape, I'll be installing the drive later on tonight. Thanks again.

That's odd usually desktops are cheaper, to get equivalent parts I would have to pay $200 to $300 more to get a laptop. So did the drive work out for you, I used to use it all the time until I bought my current PC. It's made by Pioneer who created optical media so it has a very good laser I still have the box and disks that it came with but I didn't want to have to get them out of storage. If you want them let me know and this winter when I do my winter cleaning I'll get them out ;)

Drive works great, at least so far. Got it installed alright, and tried out a few CD's and it seems to work fine. It's nice to finally have a working CD Drive again. :D
I don't think I'll need the box and disks though, so you can just trash em whenever you get to cleaning out your storage.
Also, totally random, but would you have any interest in a PSN Movie Voucher for Angels and Demons? I got one today and what with my lack of a PS3, I have no use for it.

Bump...

I'm glad you don't want the box I think it's being used to store old receipts and papers. Thanks for the offer but I had one of those PSN vouchers too, I couldn't get rid of mine either so I gave it away about a month or two ago. I have the movie but I don't really care for it, I didn't get to see it at the theater so I made the mistake of buying it without renting it first. Don't forget to let me know what e-mail you are going to use for Steam so that I can add you to my friend list ;)

Just so you know, for the DS Cases, I have about five official Nintendo cases, and around fifteen Gamestop Replacement DS Cases. They're pretty much the same, except for the GS cases are slightly thinner and a slightly darker color.
Also, I've got a Soul Silver Box as well that I don't think I listed if you'd be interested in that as well.
