For TDM, learn to use the L23 Fareye, Splicer, Magnum, and Carbine. Bottlenecks are good for easy pickings and always watch each others backs; going together as a mob will make things a lot easier. Wraith/Auger for small maps - With the Wraith, it's best to run and jump at your enemy and while in the air hit the fire button so you start spraying right as you come down.
With a Shotty, you can do a double-barrel then switch to Magnum to finish them off if they aren't dead yet.
For sniper problems, just rush em'. Make sure to walk/crouch til' you get near them, otherwise they'll know you're coming and will more than likely have a surprise waiting for you.
Hedgehogs rule. Air Fuels rule bottlenecks. Frags can ricochet before going off.
For Beserks I liked using Invisibility for most large maps, Ironheart for small ones, and prototype ammo for mid-sized battles (20-30 player total).
FYI, Ring Of Life can really kick ass too anywhere there are a lot of people in a small area like bottlenecks, a confined area, etc.. Just remember that when you deploy the ring it fills your health bar completely, so if possible wait until you're near death so you can get the upper hand right away since your enemy will have most likely used at least half of their clip.
Also, the ring does NOT move with you, so you will have to stay within the area you deployed it to make use of it. IMO it is much more effective than Ironheart since the regen rate is very fast AND you can "share" it with any teammates within the ring, the only cons being you are still succeptible to a one-hit kill from a Carbine grenade or any grenade for that matter and you can't move it.
