Resistance Discussion Thread

I think I might need to get back tot his game soon not played it for awhile was a really good first game for my PS3
 
Borrwing this from a co-worker. Beat SP, and want to try some MP. I tried a match last night but there was only like 5 people there so it wasn't very exciting.. :(
Add me if you guys want to play a couple games.
 
If you guys start playing, I am in. I haven't had much success with this game. I like the SP, but I get bored with it. I do this with a lot of FPS games though. I would like to play with you guys. Add me and I will play.
 
I need to fire this game up again. I wonder if anyone in the CAG clan still plays :whistle2:k

I prob can't play Thurs. thru Sat., but if 4 or so guys want to party up Sunday when football isn't on, that may be possible.
 
I'm on the fence on buying Resistance or Ninja Gaiden. I already have a shit ton of quality FPS'ers ( CoD4, Orange Box, & UT3 ) so I might neglect playing Resistance but Ninja Gaiden is known to have a real ball busting difficulty level that will undoubtedly lead me to chucking my Sixaxis out a window.

Any advice in which game to get? Or perhaps I should just wait if Best Buy will have a better selection of games on sale before the coupon expires?

Well, I will definitely have some Resistance night next week. Right now, Friday/Saturday are booked up (unless there are enough who have Resistance and no CoD4 PS3).

I'm thinking of Tuesday-Thursday or something, but then again, it's kind of hard getting the EST and PST folks in a game together that way. I'm going to look at schedules and have a talk with many Resistance owners.

My PSN Buddy list IS maxed out again (seriously, I cleared off two people on Saturday and it maxed out again on Wednesday due to requests), so if people want to play me at Resistance, just add me to your buddy list in Resistance and I'll accept.

With the games you have, go with NG Sigma. It's the easiest of the NG games IMO (which is probably why I'm making it further than I previous did in other versions). Resistance is good, but you have several FPS.
 
Tuesday or Thursday would be great. We just gotta figure out a good time to get as many people involved as possible.

Thanks for the input MK. I just realized the PS Network had a NGS demo and it was pretty fun. The gameplay is definitely worth the 30 bucks.

I managed to grab another copy of the $10 coupon for BB from a friend so I might as well pick up Resistance seeing that lots of CAG'ers still frequent online play.

Hey Sorry guys about yesterday, I started playing the campaign and time got away with me and I had to get off. We should definately try again sometime. Maybe then I won't forget. lol

Yeah I saw you on but we were the only ones, lol. We defintely need a Resistance meet up.
 
I will try to play with you guys soon, dang Call of Duty 4 taking up all my gaming time, it's so addicting!

Tomorrow morning I'll see what's up with the CAG Clan, most people should still be on it. If it all looks good I'll send out some invites to peeps already not in.

I stopped playing it online because I've been working my way up to Superhuman difficulty and I'm almost done now, I'm just a year late to that party ;D

Yeah maybe Sunday would be a good day. People would have off school/work. Let's see if we can get something going.
 
Sunday is perfect because Friday = Warhawk, Saturday = CoD4.

I'll put that into the CAG Gaming group schedule. I can also attend Sunday, since I will be on my faster internet.

EDIT: Does 6:30pm EST Sunday sound okay? Or do you want to play later?

6:30pm EST sounds great. That is the perfect time for me.

Where/when the hell is the price drop on this game ?

It's over a year old , don't tell me they're going to try to ride out the $60 price until the sequel comes out .

SCEA is doing the same thing with Resistance MS does with Halo and Gears. They'll keep them at full price for a while because they are still selling (to make up for other games which didn't sell well). But the price will most definitely drop when the PS3 GH lineup comes out, somewhere around May-August this year, I think.
 
Are the Resistance servers down or something? Every time I try to hop online I get a "Login failed 0001000 (or something like that). Damn this sucks. WTF is up?

Anyway, Resistance tonight at 6:30pm EST. I just want to remind everyone over and over again. Be sure you have Blackout542 or I on your Resistance (not XMB) friend's list at least, because you have to manually add friends in Resistance (It doesn't use your same XMB friends).
 
I'm gonna try to make it, but I can't guarantee anything. It would've been better for me if we were playing a few hrs earlier, but that's alright.

This game is perfect for these kind of things because the party system is great.

It turns out it was on the game's side of things. Over at myresistance.net several people were having connection problems, but at around 12 last night it seems they were fixed.

Yep add me to your buddy list guys. Hope to get a good game going. ;)
