Resistance Retribution NEW $13.43 (seller) OR $29.99 (Amazon)

The game's controls aren't very good. Which is weird because I find Peace Walker's controls decent. Also there are way too many enemies for such clunky controls.

Did you try all the control schemes? Wow someone gave this 1 star for finding a MSRP $40 game for 65% off...

FYI, anyone with a MicroCenter nearby can pick up a copy for $20, or just have BB do a PM. My BB did the PM just by checking the MC website. The controls are very similar to Syphon Filter. Though I haven't tried using a DS3 yet.

Wow, I had no idea the game dropped in price so low. Thanks, OP.

Also, thanks for posting the Amazon Marketplace price that INCLUDES shipping. I've seen way too many posts recently where someone posts what they think is a deal, but forget to look at the $7.99 shipping cost. So this is a really refreshing thread. ;)

I think most of the reviews said the controls were good, but it's really hard later without infected mode? The controls in the two Syphon Filter games are really good.

Well, anyway, I have it since launch, but it's in my backlog.

I bought it yesterday from that seller for that price. I went on Amazon prepared to spend about $20 for that game, maybe $25. Never did I expect to find it for that price.

Incredible deal.

The game is pretty lame....any shooter with auto aim is boring and a waste of time. PSP just isn't made for shooters because of the lack of 2 analog sticks.

Every console shooter has auto-aim, and it works fine IMO. If this controls as well as the two Syphon Filter games, it'll be good...

I did not like the controls as much as the Syphon Filter games but i did not try out all of the control schemes either. I might sit down and play it with my PS3 controller one day but i just couldn't get into the game. Not saying it's bad but i would not recommend it.

Controls work EXTREMELY WELL, and don't really hold the game back at all.

The game can be rather difficult, but the check-point system goes a long way to eliminate most frustration.

Definitely one of the best PSP games, and pretty good deal even at MSRP because it's a really long game with lots of collectibles and even flawless online multiplayer (with voice chat!). I'd be all over this deal if I didn't already own the game.

Nice price for a great game. I have to agree that toward the end it got a bit frustrating, but Infected Mode is awesome. The Syphon Filter games do seem to have the best feel for the controls, but this Resistance game has enough alternate button maps to choose from. Between those choices & allowing enough time to get used to everything even at full price the game is worth every penny.

Funny, I've been playing this the past week and have it turned on right now.

I've been playing with the Plus Mode...the controls are awesome...I get to use the DualShock controller...and on my 50" TV.

Auto aim is also turned off in Plus Mode.

.

i bought it for 20 bucks brand new a few months back, its worth every penny. very very good PSP game.

I still wish I had chosen this as my free game with my PSP-2000 when Amazon was clearing them out in the spring instead of MLB The Show (which had the same roster stat bugs as the other versions but couldn't be patched like the PS3 version.)

For those who have ordered with the 3rd party seller let us know how the transaction went. I'm still not sure if I'm going to order it right now or wait.

I ordered the game from the 3rd party mentioned in the OP the same day the thread was posted, and I just received the game today. As stated, it was a brand new sealed copy and in total was $13.93 shipped. This was my first time buying from a 3rd party seller on Amazon, but I had a great experience (this game came faster than two games I ordered from Amazon prior to this that still haven't arrived).

Cool, urge to buy rising.

Been debating on this for a long time now. I might finally bite, it's at my price point for it.

I ordered a copy on Sunday and got an e-mail that it shipped on Monday. Hopefully it arrives sometime this week. I tried the demo and thought I'd give the game a try at this price. Thanks for the heads-up, OP.

EDIT: Received mine in the mail today, just four days after I placed the order. Game was brand new and sealed.

Single player is much better then R2 on the PS3. I got it for $30 and it was worth it. For $14 is it a no brainer.

Thanks OP, I'm going to tell my nephew who lives in Vegas about this deal. I bought it a while back for $20 and it's an awesome game.
