Resurrected: GameStop 10% off exp 10/05

Hmm.. hopefully this is real and not a duped copy... any chance to link to the OP email registry (ie: so we can sign up ourselves to check validity). Other than that, great job OP and welcome

Weird - I can't seem to find the thread that was already started about this, but it was established that the html in the email sent to any new newsletter subscriber always points to the same location for the coupon image.

This means that (at least for now) if you already signed up for a new subscription to get the coupon, all you have to do is save the email and when GameStop updates the source image your email coupon will automatically update as well.

I also brought that into question in the original thread because even thou it worked for me it rang up as "promotion not found" on the receipt... but after digging in the the old thread's OP in the cache I did find this: http://www.gamestop.com/gs/newsletter/offer/welcome/newwelcome2_exp070607.jpg
which is directly from gamestops website, so I dont know if the OP went poking for the jpg and its just not available to public yet but it does exist.

Props to twen (old threads OP) one way or the other

Yeah, the coupon is legit; its just a screenshot of the email you get when you subscribe to the Gamestop email newsletter. As previously mentioned, just subscribe once and hang on to the email. The html in the email displays the images from gamestop's webserver. They simply update the images to reflect a newer expiration date, so when you look at the original email again it will magically expire a month later.

That is, until they catch on that all us CAGs are using the coupon over and over and decide to do it a different way. I'd imagine that won't happen for a while though.

The cool thing is, you can't really get in trouble for using it again with the new expiration date, because its still just sitting in your inbox. Its not like you even have to sign up with multiple addresses or anything.

I tried to sign up for the newsletter last night but didn't get anything at all-- no newsletter, no confirm, etc. I checked all the spam traps but nothing.

Do you get the email immediately or does it take a while?

It takes quite a while in my experience.

I used this last night to get $13 off the legendary halo 3. He had to manually price it, though.

AFAIK, this coupon has always shown as "promotion not found" on the receipt, so I wouldn't be concerned about that.
AFAIK, this coupon has always shown as "promotion not found" on the receipt, so I wouldn't be concerned about that.
My last receipt shows Promo #2815. But we know it's valid, so it doesn't really matter what their computer says.
I walked in a bought Halo 3 with the coupon this afternoon. No problems at all.
fuck you.

My problem is these goddamn noobs, including yourself, can run around here, thinking they can bend whatever rules they want. Does that say crop the coupon and print it out? No, it says PRINT THE GODDAMN EMAIL.

I'm pretty sure you have some games to return to Walmart today too, don't you.

Plus, there is NO small print saying "copies are not allowed" or anything. So how is this illegal? And why would you care if i crop it or not? BTW, the closest walmart to me is in NJ. They don't allow walmart in NY, so i don't shop there.;)
Except that you're doing something illegal. fuck off.
Illegal? What law is broken when cropping the coupon?
I would suggest not using a cropped coupon...it can only cause trouble.
such as? I would say using the full email would be safer, but there is nothing wrong with a cropped coupon. saves ink.

What the fuck kind of paper are you printing on that cropping half a page saves you paper? Are you cutting coupons, then shoving half sheets of paper back in your fucking printer?

I meant to say only ink. Plus, rather than spending ink for the top part which is unneeded, you can use that to print another copy.Edit:I just realized i could use the coupon to buy Phantom Hourglass.

You act like you're wasting a number percentage of ink when you print a single sheet of TEXT.

Thanks much for the coupon, printing it out now. Hopefully I can use it this weekend. Need to get some Marketplace points for my new 360 so every little bit helps!
So? A little goes a long way:D(btw, why do you seem so angry?)
no reason to joo on the ink when you are getting 10% off player. dont tell me you are going to waste it on some crap 15$ used xbox game lol

I used it today to buy Halo 3.

I'd tell you my experience using the coupon, but I think everyone knows how dull Gamestop employees are; so I'll spare you all the redundancy.

hey, slim relax. You take this place too personal get a life.

The only problem I see with the cropped version is that the two times I used the previous version, the employees (or managers I think rang me up actually) had to read the email for like 5 minutes and were completely clueless this coupon existed. I have a feeling without those instructions at the bottom of the email, they would not understand it.

I used it on Halo 3, legendary edition... it worked, and for some reason they only charged me $1 in tax even though the balance on the game after trade-in credit was still $60...
