Rewarding Achievements - Confirmed!
Anybody heard how MS is going to distribute the gamerpic for completing the challenge?
Marketplace Tokens after the contest so the results can be "confirmed"
A winner is me!

Ooh, I can't wait for Fuzion Frenzy 2 to show up. That'll be worth, like, $30. ;)
By the time the game actually shows up it will have dropped universally to $10 at every retailer imaginable...
fuck me, looks like they're out of most of the level 3 stuff. Oh well, Contra's an alright consolation prize.
Same thing here. I already have Contra so if anyone wants to trade for maybe a Joust code or maybe if someone who wins the 100 points wants to trade please PM me.

I just have to wait until I get the token code from MS.

I will trade FROGGER for a Contra code if anyone is interested....PM me :)

I still need to start this. I need 1500 points ;) I've already played NBA 2K6 and NHL 2K6 and MLB 2K6 and Madden 06, so I want something that is fun and easy. Cars and Open Season just seem like a borefest. Maybe i'll get choops 2K6....although, I think I played that too.
Maybe i'll get choops 2K6....although, I think I played that too.
Checked your tag and it looks like you've still got 500 points to take advantage of in College Hoops. You got 2 out of the 5 so far.

Open Season isn't too bad of a kids game. I think it is tolerable for 1000 points. So between College Hoops 2k6 and Open Season you'll have your 1500 by the weekend easily.

I see you have points in Madden 06 and MLB 2k6 still available to pickup. I don't know if you rented or own them though.

As usual with these types of offers, I finished one day after the big prizes were gone. Even with all of the problems that were a part of this promotion, I hope they do more promotions of this nature.

They will, I got mine reward 3 days after they started and they only had half of their stock left on fusion frenzy.

How long does it take you new gamerscore to appear? I have completed several achievements yet my gamerscore hasn't changed on the website. It has changed on xbox.com, but not the rewards. Any info?

Mine was changing as soon as Xbox.com had them changed. It'd take about 20 minutes from when I got the achivement to be sent to Xbox and the contest, but then it seemed like they were both updated about the same time.

Ok thanks, just re-loaded with IE 7.0 and it worked. Mozilla is wierd when it comes to things like that!

Sadly, I was more interested in the t-shirt than I was in Fusion Frenzy 2. Not a good game. At all.

No one has actually received any awards or even confirmed their addresses, right?

I've confirmed my address several times. But the button never disappears. I've fired off another email asking about it, but I'm not expecting a new response. If I had to venture a guess, I'm thinking the confirm button won't actually function properly till after the contest ends. The responses I've received from support imply that they won't be verifying the results of the contest till its over. Which means it may be June before we see the physical prizes.

For those who finished the tier 3 recently, does it just not list Fuzion Frenzy or the T-shirt as your prizes?

I've done the same exact thing and received a response that stated they were fixing the website and extending the deadline until the 15th.

Yeah I just did the remainder of mine with NBA street with about 200 more achievement pts I could get easily after I beat the game. It's true, you don't get any rewards till April which sucks. I was looking forward to playing Contra with a friend tonight, I thought they just emailed you the code.

Given how attainable the achievements are in this game + I'm getting Lost Planet next week, I wish they had more than one challenge up or at least a "Bank" where you can bank achievement pts in. This is having the opposite effect of making me *not* want to play since I'd be wasting achievements.

Finished my Level 2 challenge today. Yeah! BTW, the half price XBL Arcade games are good source of easy points too. Galaga, Rally X, Time Pilot and Scarmble are good bets for at least 500-600 easy combined points (if not more).

How do we know how many more points we have to go? I signed up, but I forgot how many I need or what I started with. I looked on the Xboxrewards site, but I think I'm missing something.

Click I'M FINISHED!.
Do you click that when you are completely Done though?
It doesn't matter when you click it. If you click it when you don't have enough points it will just pop-up and let you know how many more points you need. You have have enough points then Congratulations You have just won the prizes!

Thanks....I just got about 800+ points with NBA Homecourt, so hopefully I'll be able to pick up something soon at Blockbuster to rent with my free rentals.
Never was able to sign up for this thing. MS botched this one good.
what didnt let u sign up? I just got an email telling me to sign up for this after I subscribed to live

I finally pressed the I'm Done button even though I had been done longer. I was at 4,225 when I would have finished the challenge, so I decided to just level up and then complete it, as then I would be upgraded to level 3 when I completed it. So today, when I pressed it at level 2, I finished it, and I am only getting the level 1 prizes, yet it shows me at level 3 now. I hope I will still be level 3 when all the prizes are "confirmed", because I would actually then be able to get good stuff from the next challenge. Anyone else do this? Or does anyone think this will end up being reversed and I will not be Level 3 anymore?

Whatever level you were when you signed up is the level of prices you will get.
Damn, most of the prizes are out. Only Contra and 100pts cards are available along with the Gamerpics.
I didn't even get the 100 point card when I finished Friday, despite it saying there were still some available. Now for the wonderful joy of waiting one month for what is a simple code to enter to receive a free contra.... bleh.

Yeah that wait really puts the fizzle on this whole challenge thing. What would they need "confirmation" for? These prizes are first come first serve anyway.

Oh, this is bullshit. I just signed on to check how many more I need, and I had no challenges listed. I was able to sign up still, but there's no way in hell I'll get 1500 points by April 12. Oh well, I guess.

It didn't allow me to sign up until a few days ago because it had problems in identifying what country I used in my profile. I'm surprised that USA from a pull-down box could cause such a tremendous problem, but it doesn't bother me much. If I get Contra for free, great. If not, I couldn't care less.

Too bad I got around 1700 points within the past few weeks, though. Then again I wasn't going to wait to play my games because I couldn't log into a buggy system.
So we have to wait until 4/12 to get the Contra codes?
Yea anyone know? Also, anyone know when Fuzion Frenzys will be shipped out? Hopefully not 4/12...

So by my math I had the 1500 points and clicked on "I'm finished" and it told me I still needed 15 more points. So I went back on the 360, and got 30 more points, but the website still tells me the same damn thing;

Sorry!

You have not yet completed this Challenge.

Challenge not finished. You still need 15 more Gamerscore to complete the Challenge.

But I've completed the damn challenge!
Yea anyone know? Also, anyone know when Fuzion Frenzys will be shipped out? Hopefully not 4/12...
All signs point to April 15th. The varying responses I've gotten from the CSRs indicate the prizes won't actually be confirmed till after the contest, which ends on the 15th since they botched the first few days and extended the start time.

I finished it two days after the contest began and I haven't heard anything about my physical prizes being sent out. If they don't arrive by the end of March [6 weeks after I won my challenge], I assume it means they aren't shipping before the end.

My guess is it'll be early june before we actually hear reports of people getting their prizes.

Haha...that happened to me as well. But I realized it after only getting about 60 points.

Cool I just saw this, been without internet at home for awhile.... I signed up and whenever I get my 360 back from repair i'll jump almost 2000 points from just signing back onto live and having my gamertag update. :) Congrats if anyone got Fuzion Frenzy only level 3 prizes left are Contra and a picture but that's better than nothing and it is free.

I don't know if that will work, your Achievements are dated when you got them. Even if you're not online they'll show up as the date you actually got them when you do connect again.

Wow, I just got this e-mail out of nowhere and unprovoked:

Xbox Rewards Announcement

Dear defiance17,

Thank you for your interest in Xbox Rewards. Due to technical issues, you may have experienced difficulties while trying to register for Xbox Rewards. Please accept our sincere apologies. To help make up for any inconvenience this may have caused you, we are providing you with two Xbox LIVE® Arcade games*. (Use the tokens provided at the end of this email).

All technical issues have now been resolved and we would like to welcome you to come back to Xbox Rewards and join the Old Spice Experience Challenge**. To help ensure that you have enough time to complete the Challenge, we have extended the Challenge Period by 10 days. You now have until April 22, 2007, to increase your gamerscore by 1,500 and get rewarded. Here are the key things that you need to know when returning to Xbox Rewards and joining the Old Spice Experience Challenge:

Return to Xbox Rewards at www.xbox.com/rewards, sign in using your Windows Live ID, go to the Old Spice Experience Challenge page, and click “JOIN THIS CHALLENGE”. When determining whether or not you successfully completed this Challenge, Xbox Rewards will only consider the Gamerscore that you accrue AFTER you join this Challenge
After you have complete the Challenge, return to www.xbox.com/rewards, sign in using your Windows Live ID, go back to the Old Spice Experience Challenge page, and click on the “I’M FINISHED” button.
If you have qualified to receive a physical reward, you will need to verify your mailing address one time by clicking on the “CONFIRM” button before your rewards can be shipped. The “CONFIRM” button will not disappear after you verify, but don’t worry, you don’t need to do it twice.

Xbox will send out rewards shortly after the Challenge ends in April to the registered members who met all requirements. Remember, you can only receive the rewards listed for your level, and some rewards are only available on a first come, first serve basis, while supplies last.

Again, thank you for your incredible response to this program. We’ve been working hard to make sure that your experience will be easy and seamless. Please make sure you check back at with www.xbox.com/rewards regularly for new information and challenges. The future of Xbox Rewards will be heavily shaped by community response. We hope that you enjoy it.

To get your free Xbox LIVE Arcade games, follow the instructions below:

Turn on your Xbox 360™ and sign in to Xbox Live
Highlight and select “Xbox Live Marketplace.”
Select “Redeem Code.”
Enter the code and download the game.
Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to download the second game.

Joust (ESRB Rating: E)
***CODE***

Robotron (ESRB Rating: E)
***CODE***

Get gaming and get rewards!

Sure, it's Joust and Robotron, but hey, I'm impressed by the gesture. I didn't even mention the error anywhere other than here. Either Microsoft has a CAG mole, or they noticed something went wrong when I tried to register. Regardless, this was very cool of them.
