Rewarding Achievements - Confirmed!

Yeah I would have bought Blazing Angels to get through tonight for this if I hadn't lost my ride at the last minute. Oh well I get to save my money for NBA Street Homecourt next week then. Essentially all this work for a 5 dollar contra game is not worth it.
 
Old Spice even limited the number of T-shirts available, they are pretty stupid, don't half-ass a contest with very limited rewards, it just makes you look cheap. I am suprised that MS agreed to these limited rewards. I can understand limiting the number of copies of Fuzion Frenzy (the world does not need anymore copies of that game floating around), but MS points and T-shirts should not have 2,500 limits. It will be interesting to see how quickly these rewards are snapped up.
 
I know it's free stuff, but next time I'll want to see quantities of prizes available before I get excited.

I'm sure MS won't mind telling us how many prizes are available up-front, it's not like they'll be embarassed or anything :roll:
 
I've given up. Its not worth the hassle of scrambling to try to earn a copy of FF2. Microsoft should just abandon the whole prize level and just open rewards up as a store. I'd prefer to earn something for my points and time rather than a "fuck you, you're too slow"

Oh well. I've got Cars, Bionicle Heroes, and Open Season to enjoy.

Well I wouldn't say FF2 costs them nothing but the fucking points, at increments of 100 and 200, certainly aren't going to set them back into the red.

I guess we should have paid better attention when they said they were going to "give a little something back to the community."
 
The real kick in the nuts is the fact that MS has no problem bragging about having 8 million Live subscribers and they give away 2,500 prizes?
 
I've been trying since like 4pm PST. I'm logged into my Live ID, but when I go to the contest page it wants me to log in again, and I can't. :bomb:

EDIT: Holy sh!t! Right after I posted this I tried and managed to register.

just registered too, I think a lot of ppl are giving up and going to watch Heroes lol

Everybody relax, clearly with demand for this contest enough to bring MS server's to their knees the 2,500 200 point cards should be more than enough.

Yea this is bs esp since I can't get 1500 pts like in such a short time span to compete with crazies, I'm forgeting about it and going back to playing Lost Planet on Live.

i'm registered but it won't let me click the "accept challenge" link on the rewards page. Also, it says FF2's availability is at 100%, FWIW.

Thats odd. If you can figure a way to log out of your passport account, go to the first site I linked to a few posts back and you should be golden.


And I've been signed up going on 2 hours now, but I can't review My Rewards at the moment and haven't been able to the entire time I've been registered for this.
 
What's sad about this is I still can't get logged in to the contest AND I'm sure the prizes will be long gone before I get the 1500 points.
 
Got in and was able to accept the challenge. I just opened the "Join Challenge" button in a new tab in FireFox. I guess you click "I'm finished" when you got the 1500 points and the first 2500 people to do so get Fuzion Frenzy 2, etc.
 
Well, I managed to register, but I can't actually select the challenge. It always times out.

You'd think they'd have had this figured out already.

And I'm betting that the reason the rewards are limited quantity is because Old Spice is footing the bill, and they were only willing to pony up so much cash.
 
I might as well give up, at least for a few hours, by the time I will actually be able to fucking accept the challenge, all the prizes will be fucking gone.

well lads, you have to sign in AGAIN, *after* registration to join challenge. This is a fucking joke. Good thing Heroes and Studio 60 is on and making this a little bit bearable between ad breaks.

At this point screw it I'm just going to take my time and just get the achievements slowly over the next two months.
 
Eh, screw this contest. The prizes are shit and the gamerpics suck as well. I already bought Contra anyway, so there really isn't any incentive for me other than the free game which I'm sure will be gone by the time we get to sign up.
 
Whoever came up with this contest, from conception to execution should slip in a bucket of aids.

What a way to reward your xbox live loyal fanbase.
