Rhythm Heaven
Sega could make some major bank with Space Channel 5 DS. Bet they havent even thought of it yet, because they are dumb.

There were some easy stages, and some harder stages, sure. I'm not sure if you could call it a "cake walk" though. I still have problems with the black/white marching guys. Switching between the beats and off-beats is rough. I don't know if I'll ever perfect that one. :(
IMO that's the hardest stage in the game. I had a lot of trouble even figuring out how to recognize the switch.

man, the robot filling one is unforgiving. i swear to satan i am in time (i play drums for chrissakes) and they always turn their head right as slam the phallus on their stupid heads.

Hahaha. I remember the first time I played that stage, it took me a few tries just to pass the demo!

You know... Try closing your eyes. For some reason, watching the animations on certain stages always throws me off (like in that robot stage, and the ping pong one). If I just listen to the sounds, it's super easy.

I've been trying to perfect the second ping pong stage (WHICH NEVER ENDS) and I always do better with my eyes closed.

There might be a fun game hidden in here somewhere. I probably won't know any time soon though, for some reason the second thing this game throws at you is that awful Glee Club game. So far my play experience has been to play the first game twice(because I was off a little bit the first time), and then fail about 40 times in a row at Glee Club. The timing just doesn't work, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Yeah this game is pretty difficult right off the bat. I got past the first level in 2 tries and I am still on the glee club after 10 tries. It is pretty unforgiving.

Oh my god, can anyone get past Munchy Monk? It just goes too fast and I can't keep up from laughing at my mistakes.
Requiring something like 90% accuracy just to advance is pretty surprising (fairly sure I only missed two).
Just a note about the scoring... I don't think there's a minimum number of segments you have to hit in order to pass or get the good rank. Instead, I think there are some specific *key* segments which determine if you pass or fail. i.e., if you hit everything but the key segments, you will fail. Alternately, you could miss a few things, but hit the key segments and you'll pass.

I'm stuck on remix six right now. I must've played it at least 10 times now but the game's not offering me a skip. Any suggestions?

to skip a stage you gotta go for a coffee break I think they offer after you fail the stage 3 times straight, the coffee icon should be animated

No offense, but a lot of you guys seem to be kind of horrible at this game. While some of the games are a bit tricky, nothing is that hard. I mean failing Glee Club ten times? Really? Just count out the beats in your head. It's simple.

I'd also like to offer an additional "screw you". I am tensing up BADLY when attempting Perfects. The timing window gets to me and it really, really sucks. I don't even want to try on the second and third tries. I get very frustrated. I just failed perfecting Remix 7 because I was too early on the second to last riff of the Rock Finish portion. How would YOU feel?

I know I suck at this game, and I don't know why. I have all S ranks on both Ouendans, so I know I can play rhythm games. But this one is giving me trouble. Once I figured out how to skip though I liked the game a lot more, now I can move on to better games and just go back to ones that are giving me trouble.

Yeah, this surprises me, because I know you completely destroyed the Ouendan games where I couldn't.

been playing this game every night for a week and a half. got all the medals and trying to get the last fifteen perfects. hate the karate and monk games.
Nice double-post there. Also, LIAR. The hardest games are Rhythm Rally and fucking MOAI DOO-WOPS.
Moai does suck ass.

Am I the only one who gets thrown off by how your Moai head executes a brief "doo" when you want to just tap and not hold?
Nice double-post there. Also, LIAR. The hardest games are Rhythm Rally and fucking MOAI DOO-WOPS.
Moai is pretty hard but gets a lot easier after a few play-throughs. Rhythm Rally requires ridiculous precision. I haven't gotten a perfect opportunity on Rhythm Rally 2 since I haven't had the medal on it for that long. But Karate and Monk are sooo long, I keep losing focus and failing the perfects. Then the second and third attempts are just exercises in impatience for me.

Moai's okay, I think I managed to perfect both of them after a little bit of practice.

A couple of the games are really bad, namely those with horribly used (or fast) flicks. Rhythm Rally 2, and Love Lab are not kind to me, and I really don't enjoy playing them due to their difficulty.

Ok, only 12 gifts left:

Remix 2
Drummer Duel
Karate Man
Rhythm Rally 2
Remix 8
Moai Doo-Wop 2
Karate Man 2
Glee Club 2
Space Soccer 2
Remix 9
Munchy Monk 2
Remix 10

I can't count how many times I've had one mistake on several of those.

Ok guys, I'm really frickin retarded. Either that or I have a bum game. I just got this game and can't pass the damn first level, Built to Scale. I get all of the bars through the plates, essentially perfect but every time it keeps telling me to try again. What am I missing? There is nothing else I can do!

I guess you're being sarcastic, but talking at the coffee shop should let you skip that game. I have no idea why you'd be failing unless you are exaggerating your accuracy.

i figured it out. i'm an idiot. i didn't realize the last section where it goes dark with the spotlight was part of the level. i thought it was a cinematic. lol!

I've been playing this off & on for a few weeks now. My kids love to watch me play (particularly Glee Club - they like to say "together now - AAAAAHHHHH!").

Fun stuff. Really frustrating at times - the Monk game took me a long time to figure out, but now it's easy. Moai is killing me, though - I just can't do it correctly.

What with the $12.98 price on Rhythm Heaven from the Amazon Gold Box deals, I'm sure this thread will get some more attention soon. I too have a copy coming.
totally missed that. that was an incredible deal
I was really surprised by the price point. It quickly went from an obscure interest to a must-have at that price.

I actually traded my current (now past) copy into Gamestop for $22.50 credit (with 50% bonus - had 5 other games to trade plus Edge, in fact it was RH that let me get the 50%, so this was particularly fortuitous) and bought a new copy from Amazon with the $12.98 deal. It's nice to get paid to keep a game. :)

EDIT: and yes it's a great game!

For this price, it was a no brainer for me. I even posted in the Gold Box thread if it goes on sale for $15 I will pick it up for sure, but even cheaper. Fantastic. ^___^

I almost bought this game when I got my DSi, but I'm glad I waited for the Amazon deal. :)

I played it last night and finished the first remix. Then I moved on to table tennis and I'm stuck there. Arrgggghhhhh.

Definitely one of my top DS rhythm games. Managed to unlock all the games and just trying to grab all the medals and perfects now.

The 2nd moai is just killing me though
