actually, it should be in either the deal shopping discussions forum or the ps2 sub-forum

then again, ive seen cheapy himself put contests in forums other than the other deals and requests forum...which says "contests belong here"

so i guess it's really ymmv on where a thread should go :lol:

Some people have been paying more than retail, since it's hard to find.

Let's put it this way: Rez for $50 would be a deal, whether it's a find on ebay or a new shipment in your Best Buy.

I'm not overreacting at all. I'm just shocked at how something so simple as a wrong forum pointer gets shrugged off so easily. Not trying to be a forum nazi or anything. This was merely a news-worthy item and not a deal. The people defending it's place here are the ones grossly overreacting. So what if I say that it doesn't belong here? No need for them to fly off the handle completely.
 
I think we are all forgetting that now myself, and many others, might actually be able to find and purchase this game.
Isn't that the most important thing of all?

For the most part, yes. I lucked out and pre-ordered it just a week before it's original shipment. Although generally panned by various review sites/mags, the game isn't half bad. Apossum has made an honest and worthwhile review for this game over in the reviews forum (check it out if you haven't already). It's a surprisingly good game that I'm glad I can pick up, play a little bit, and put down again when needed. Not a time hog unlike other GBA RPGs I've played. Far from being the pinnacle of GBA gaming, it's still a game that deserves at least playing once and I'm glad to see Atlus step up and make the game a tad more available than it initially was. Their business model of miniscule releases astounds me at times.
 
this is a deal considering the only place you can buy it are from auctions that go well over the MSRP. unless you're lucky enough to find a copy in store
 
Sweet, glad I just put mine on eBay a few days ago... already up to $20.50 with a few days left, and I doubt many eBayers will hear of this within a few days....
 
That's good news. Been trying to find the game for a couple of weeks but they're all sold out.

And like someone else posted earlier, anyone know when the stores are receiving it? I like to get it early before it sells out again.

Bwa ha ha ha! How true. Shame that some people felt the need to lower CAG to that level of a forum (if gamefaqs can even be called that...about the only time I set foot in that cestpool is to find out of a certain pre-order bonus has showed up in stores yet).

Because I'm a very calm person by nature. I was very (too?) blunt in my position on this thread (esp since it was already reported in another one just yesterday) and all was well until someone decided to throw the thread into complete chaos with their juvenile/gamefaq-esque response of telling me to "shut up" just because they didn't like the truth? After that it was a joy to see just how rattled some of their cages got. It's provided a slow Friday at work with some entertainment. Not the politest way for me to do so, but there you have it.

EDIT: I suppose I'm probably guilty of thread crapping past my second response. If people manage to see the game back on sale from being back-ordered feel free to post. Don't want to hijack this thread anymore than it already has been.

This is the right place. The game is basically gone at this point. Rumors are that they only printed 2000-2500 copies of the game. The game sold out in weeks and was available only on ebay, basically at MSRP.

This is basically:

Since the game runs over MSRP by quite some bit, this is thus a deal post. If they reprinted Rez or Disgaea @ $49.99 it would be proper to let people know to look at their B&Ms for it.

Personally, I wouldn't be getting all uppity and police-like when I've yet to reach the highest echelon of post-counts...and seeing as I haven't, I won't. And it's even funnier to me that, as usual, the guy getting chastised is unaware he, not others, is the target.

Wherever this thread belongs, I'm glad to see it, because I wanted to make sure I grabbed this game despite my near-broke status. Now I know I can afford to wait a bit. Thanks OP.
 
Now now, I thought we were all past this. No need to make nonsensical false comments about something we're long past. I know we're all more than capable of staying focused and keeping things completely on-topic.

FWIW, anyone's guess is as good as mine for when new copies will trickle into stores again.
EDIT: oddly enough it looks like an EB near me still has it in.
 
One of the few games where CAGs actually are happy to pay retail.

Of course.... getting it on the release day at Fry's was even sweeter. =)
 
I think as long as people are in demand for this game...to make people pay regular retail price if they could...makes it the principal that it is a deal...as it wont stay in stores for long. I think people who are all paranoid about being in the wrong forum shut up because it is one post that has a legit purpose on being in this forum and your perspective on it just sucks. That is my 2 cents!
