I've compiled a quick list of things I'd like to see in Rock Band over here. I was gonna post it here as well but I didn't want to have 10 youtube videos load everytime someone was looking at this page.

Thanks, it's a social networking site for gamers that my friend works for. It's pretty neat so I sometimes post a random article like that.
 
I have two quick questions about the RB guitar that maybe someone can help me with.

Why is there a battery pack on the underside? Also, am I just blind or is there no jack for the headset? How can I talk online and play guitar at the same time?

I have both of the 360 guitars from GH games, but I kinda prefer the rock band one since it makes the song finishes easier to rack up points. (Actually I like the wireless one that came with GH3 but the stupid neck prevents any accuracy)
 
I don't know about the battery pack, if it is indeed one. The headphone jack is small and unobstrusive, a hole on the bottom left "corner" of the guitar.

The PS3's RB guitar is wireless, and it and the 360's guitar share the same guitar body.
There should have been 2 headset adapters that came with your bundle, you can use them to use a headset online.

MaXx no longer needs the disc so everyone after them has been bumped up a spot, just need DeathPrawn and looploop to contact each other now instead. Will PM you both in case you don't see this post!

In Band World Tour, only a few venues are available from the start (with a few songs at each venue). As you progress, you unlock more venues, and thus, more songs. There are some gigs that allow you to create a setlist by choosing from your unlocked songs; songs unlocked in solo tour are available here, as are songs you've unlocked in Band World Tour mode.

At least, I'm pretty sure that's how it works. I haven't gotten very far in solo tour, but my wife and I have reached the Hall of Fame in Band World Tour. She was playing pretty far into the solo tour--farther than I've made it, and she's not a frequent gamer--while we were playing Band World Tour, so I'm a little unsure as to which songs we unlocked in Band World Tour and which songs she unlocked in solo tour.
 
WTF? I finally beat F/LT on Hard Drums...

I've been playing on Expert and only found a couple of songs I couldn't pass (fucking Maiden....and the Police...). Looks like I'm finally going to get the easy/medium/hard achievements for Drums pretty soon.

Also, FOB is fucking annoying.

You should be able to. The cable from the pedal to the drums is mono so if you can find a mono splitter (dunno if Radioshack still sells these).

I've got an OXM disc and am willing to start another train if someone wants to split the other one up or something. I'll make it for free, but if someone wants to Paypal a couple bucks just to cover shipping it'd be great, but not required.

Whoo, got my 5 in a row score duel achievement! And racked up 11 wins while I was at it. Would have had it at 7, but I started bombing the beginning of GG&HT for no apparent reason, on hard. I was embarrassed. :cry:

Now to get 9 more wins this week, and finally go back and finish GG&HT on expert... Might download the Rush and Coheed and Cambria songs, too.
 
I had a nice, fun run of songs this morning. Haven't gotten GG&HT yet in score duel, but i seem to get Go With the Flow about 1 out of 3 times. Got my 20-win achievement this morning, too, after an intense battle on Foreplay/Long Time. Won by about 700pts. Still haven't gotten 5 in a row yet. I've gotten to 4 twice, only to be foiled by Detroit Rock City both times :(

Eh, I just missed my 5 streak in tug of war due to that stupid Acro-Brats song. I lost my timing ONCE and lost because of it. :bomb: I really wish Rock Band has an option for song voting in ranked online matches, similar to what GHIII uses. I also wish everyone would download "Live Forever," as I very much enjoy playing that song.

Oh well, another day. It seems I'm fairly decent among hard guitar players online, so I'll get it one day. Still picked up 4 or 5 t.o.w. wins, so I'm content.
 
I got my first Live Forever matchup this morning, too. One of my favorite all-time songs and probably my favorite song to play, along with When You Were Young and Welcome Home

I had some tool drop a match literally seconds before it would have registered a win for me. The match was over, my character was pumping his arm in victory, and then the asstard disconnected.
 
I had the same thing happen in a tug of war earlier today. I think that little fucktard was the (first) reason I missed my 5 streak this afternoon. I give out more negative feedback in one hour of Rock Band/GHIII than I did in one week of Gears. :D
 
Yeah, I've gotten a ton of droppers too, actually just started playing the online portion today. Luckily quitters don't seem to affect your streak as I got the 5 in a row Tug of War achievement with W-W-W-W-Q-W. My last quitter was the most frustrating for me so far, about 30 seconds left and he quits.

Another thing I don't quite get is how I get stuck playing bonus songs I've never unlocked in MP. I'd never played Timmy when I got it.
 
This has been a productive afternoon online:
- Finished the 20 score duel wins
- Got the 5-in-a-row on tug of war
- Got the achievement for "playing with a platinum artist" after one of the matches!
