Top 5 Albums:

Muse - Origin of Symmetry or Absolution
The Doors - The Best of the the Doors (or some other GH pack)
Dream Theater - Scenes from a Memory
Metallica - Ride the Lightning
Oasis - (What's the Story) Morning Glory

I know "no two sunburst guitars are the same" but I guess for some reason I thought it didn't apply to RB guitars.
Mine has the strum bar edge color of the left with a burst somewhere in the middle between those too. Color doesn't right go as far as the edge of the right.

A Perfect Circle - Mer De Noms (the only album of theirs that I enjoyed, no complaints)
KMFDM - Angst or Hau Ruck
Iron Maiden - Powerslave
Guns N Roses - Appetite for Destruction
Muse, any of their albums since good variety.

what songs aren't included when you DL RB songs to use in RB2? im tired of putting in RB disk and not having a set play list like RB2.

Paranoid
Run to the Hills
Enter Sandman

There is another one, in the bonus section too, that didn't make the transfer, but that's about all you lose.

Enter Sandman, Paranoid (as made famous by Black Sabbath) and Run to the Hills (as made famous by Iron Maiden) are only ones that don't transfer to Rock Band 2.
Journey rules. Their GH is one of the best CDs of all time.
Even if you're not a big fan of their smultzy stuff, Neil Schon (their guitarist) is god damn amazing. Listen to almost any of their songs and he has an epic solo like the whole last half of Any Way You Want It.
Did anyone find out if you can use the 20 song download code on the 360 and the PS3? 2 for the price of 1 essentially?
You can't
Anyone care to share the Impossible Band Challenge achievement with me tonight? :D
What is that? I'm bored so I might be up for it.

I'll buck the trend and toss out Rancid's "...And Out Come The Wolves" as one I'd like to see in Rock Band. It won't happen, but I'd be totally down for "Roots Radical" singalongs.
What is that? I'm bored so I might be up for it.
Its the last tier challenge for playing in a band. Like how theres impossible challenges for all instruments.

Hmm I don't think I have those yet, either that or I'm just an idiot. I'll play and give it a try.

Hmm. Top 5 Albums for Rock Band (not my top 5 albums necessarily just what I'd want to play in RB)

Queen - A Night at the Opera (Or GH, whatever)
Green Day - Dookie
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Full Moon Fever
The Darkness - Permission to Land
The White Stripes - White Blood Cells (I'd take ANY White Stripes album though)

I can think of million more but thats what I came up with off the top of my head.
Can I download the 20 free songs at a later time, or do those codes expire sometime soon?
I doubt they'll expire.

Little late to the party but...

Top 5 for me:
U2 - Achtung Baby
UNKLE - War Stories
Stone Temple Pilots - Core
Stone Temple Pilots - Purple
Live - Throwing Copper

Top 5 albums I'd like to see, in no particular order...
White Zombie - Astro-Creep: 2000
CKY - Volume 1
Mindless Self Indulgence - You'll Rebel To Anything (as if we need another version of Tom Sawyer)
Garbage - Garbage
Death From Above 1979 - You're A Woman, I'm A Machine (no guitar, but I guess they could chart the synth in some of the songs for the guitar part)

Thanks to whoever gave that e-mail to get a download code, I sent an e-mail in to them, and just got this response, and also another e-mail with my code. :D
Anyone have a list of upcoming DLC?
Dates unknown:

Jane's Addiction - Nothing's Shocking
Stevie Ray Vaughn - Texas Flood
No Doubt mega-pack

I think it's safe to assume we'll eventually be getting those three remaining Nirvana tracks (SLTS, Lithium, Come As You Are) as well, but no idea when/how. There are also a few stragglers still unreleased from the list people originally thought was the 20 free songs list (ie Sepultura - Refuse/Resist) but no announcement or date on those either.

There's also still an Offspring track(or 2?) missing from what was posted on the band's site prior to the 3 pack/RB2 setlist announcement.

Yeah, I also forgot to mention a few Rolling Stones tracks that were in that (now ancient) leaked DLC list from earlier this year (the same one that had the Nevermind tracks on it, among other stuff that did eventually come out). I'm not holding my breath for those at this point, hasn't even been a hint of them since then. They don't excite me that much anyway.
Yeah if you count the songs in those batch files, there's also still Fuel by Metallica still unaccounted for.
Something tells me we won't see more Metallica for some time to come in RB.

I just really hope that GH hasn't wrapped up the exclusive rights to Tool as well.

Pass from me as well. Might grab the Lacuna Coil songs after a price drop/on a sale day though. Will look into the $0.99 song which if it sounds good I will grab.

Lacuna Coil?! Finally!
Hells yes please. Bout time we get some proper euro-metal.
Back when I had a Myspace page, Swamped was the song I played in the background.

Good progress, now for some fucking Nightwish please! You can't have female vocal metal without Nightwish!

Yessssss @ Police Truck. I no longer have to feel bad about trading in Guitar Hero 80's. I think I like Holiday in Cambodia too, but I probably won't get the 3-pack. This'll be a first.
