Salty I need to re-do my profile in CAG4.0
As the original deal morphed into a game deal and guitar advice thread, I decided to place the original BB deal behind spoiler tags for a reference point. And I listed the current deals below. The guitar purchase is the most difficult part for us beginners, so read the advice in the thread

Too busy to read the entire thread? Then try these following posts for the guitar advice. Thanks to SmileyMcSmiles for all the help :applause:

Guitar+Bass Version*****

Original Version*****

Original DEAL behind this Spoiler
Bestbuy has a separate, two week flier for music gear and they're advertising Rocksmith game bundle+ Epiphone guitar for $199.98 and you get a $50 giftcard with purchase of the game/guitar bundle.

Ad is a bit odd in that they only list sku's for the game bundle and standalone guitar (#2633103, 2633149, 2273055), so they may be doing in-store bundling. Plus they list the game + guitar bundle as a 10 savings over buying everything separate

I'll let the musician CAGs speak to the quality of the guitar;)

UPDATE: Bestbuy finally got the site updated with the offer.
Link Dead
Like I said before, seems like they are doing an in-store bundle instead of selling the official Rocksmith guitar kit. Won't know for sure until it's bought

UPDATE #2: deal is definitely an in-store bundle of standalone guitar + game bundle. Guitar is an Epiphone LP jr with a cherryburst finish and no strap or picks are included. Asked about substituting a different guitar model but bundle price won't activate if you switch it out

"Gibson's predicament"?
They're having difficulty paying debts on time. And they have a massive chunk of debt, coming due in 2018. The company rating has been downgraded since it's believed they will default.

https://www.moodys.com/research/Moodys-downgrades-Gibsons-CFR-to-Caa3-outlook-negative--PR_371298

So, current ownership is hoping to pull a Fender, by paying off the immediate small debts. That might convince enough investors to work with them on restructuring the massive debt bill.

But to make this work, they need as much cash as possible. Unsold inventory sitting in a warehouse just won't cut it.

Back when I bought my Fender Highway 1 American Strat, it was an end of year closeout of a discontinued color. Fender doesn't do that shit anymore. They stick with pretty much the same colors all the time and anything special comes from the Custom Shop. That's why you don't see a bunch of Fenders dumped on the market for super cheap prices these days.

I hope Gibson makes it out. It would be a shame to see such a great name die out. They've done it to themselves, though... I mean - their "Standard" American LPs are like $3,000+. That $3,000 would buy you a handmade Fender Custom Shop axe made however you like it. That's just insane.

They definitely did it to themselves and not so much because of the pricing of their guitars (though that's somewhat of an issue).  That 3k Standard you mentioned is probably the "HP" variant (aka the stuff they introduce on the 2015 lineup).  At least they learned from that decision and created the "T" variants which are more traditional builds and not as pricey.

From what I've read, they assumed this debt during all their recent acquisitions (Onkyo, Teac, etc.) in an effort to diversify and expand.  I would argue you don't diversify your company by acquiring other brands that also sell "luxury" items.

Anyway, I'm sure Gibson will survive; who knows about current ownership though...

And not to go to far off subject, I don't think I could ever justify the Custom shop pricing from either Fender or Gibson.

Closest I would be willing to attempt would be a Titan from Kauer.  May not be handmade, but it would be customized to my preferences.

The guy from CME told me he'd call me back yesterday and if I didn't hear from him to call back myself. Never got a call so I called back today. It had just finished being set-up and was in the packing phase when I called. About an hour later I got my shipping notification.

Scheduled Delivery Date:

Estimated Time:
1:15 P.M.- 5:15 P.M.

Figures. It's coming in while I'll be at work.

I’ve actually been watching for a Palir to show up on eBay for cheap. I passed on a heavy relic Titan (Tele clone) for 1050 and I shouldn’t have.

I’ve been looking at a used custom shop or close Strat or Tele. We’ll see. I’ll probably make the jump at some point.

Been sitting on these for a while; waiting for them to drop lower...

Epiphone PRO-1 bundles, including Rocksmith 2014 & Realtone cable

-these PRO-1 electrics are single pickup guitars and from what I've seen only available in these bundles (new).

-hardly any reviews exist on these guitars

-comes with the PC version of Rocksmith 2014 & includes the cable.

-the rest of the stuff in the bundle (amp, strap, picks, bag) are forgettable, so focus on whether you value the guitar & game

My order came in today! I played it for about 30 min and my first impression is very positive. This was a great buy at $845.

Congrats man!

How you liking the Dirty Finger pups?
Only spent a little bit of time with them so far but I'm liking them just fine. They are more versatile than people would probably think. Although I find this to be the case with a lot of pickups. I was playing around with the knobs and the pup switch last night trying to get a feel for it when I stumbled on an A minor that sounded remarkably similar to the one that starts off "Mr Jones" by the counting crows. So naturally the rest of my time with the guitar was spent learning mr Jones

Dammit.  Haven't seen the movie (let alone knew it existed) and I already want one of these "grim fandango" guitars  .  Help me...

http://www.guitarcenter.com/pages/Disney-Pixar-Coco-x-Cordoba-Guitars.gc?icid=409155

Two mini's and a 7/8 model.  Why don't I have kids (so I can blame it on them)

Only true acoustic I own is my Yamaha guitalele.  Maybe I can snag one cheap after the holidays.

And Crazed, I've been watching those offsets for over a year.

My ideal one woulda been a Mustang in Capri Orange, with P90's (which doesn't exist) and I woulda figured out a way to add a racing stripe.

But that pink one definitely caught my eye.  Same goes for the Capri Orange bass.

Another bass should be ok, right?  Hell, I'm only up to three :whistle2:#

I’ve been good. I’ve still “only” got the 6 Fenders, 1 Les Paul and the Taylor that I got last year. I actually sat tonight on the Taylor and played through the acoustic versions of a bunch of Tom Petty songs. I’m still kind of having a hard time over his loss. I really thought I’d get to see him live again. 🙁

That offset is REALLY tempting me, though... I’m hoping I won’t see one in a store, because I don’t think I could resist. Have they been on sale at all?

Never saw them drop below $400 and that was during a general sale for Fenders/Squiers. Store displays and blem's would sometimes hit $360

Sweetwater has a couple exclusives that are USA made. Of course they're double the price. Also slightly different build since they come with humbuckers and factory wired coil-split.

Sam Ash deal on lefty Les Paul studio models @ $749

http://www.samash.com/electric-and-acoustic-guitars/left-handed-electric-guitars/gibson-usa-les-paul-studio-min-etune-left-handed-electric-guitar-glpstulrx

*2013 model, available in White, Black and Wine red

*have min-Etune tuners installed

*granadillo fretboard

Hardly any specs listed on the SamAsh site, but I'm pretty sure they are these:

http://www.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-USA/Les-Paul-Studio.aspx

-the min-Etune system is slightly older gen to the current Gforce system. Slightly slower to tune and have fewer presets

-Gibson's website says they come with a hardshell case.  Probably should call Sam Ash to confirm.

Overall, pretty good price for NOS Les Paul, especially for lefty's.  Studio models are less blingy than the Standards.

And I'm pretty sure the minEtune robotuners should be easily removable (just research to be sure; Gforce version come right off with out leaving any marks).

Remember to sign up for the mailing list since it should give you a $20 off coupon code (at least I still see the pop-up window every now an then)

Haha. Fender got scared straight on that.

Someone at Gibson musta been cleaning up the attic and came across this stash of 2013 lefties.

And if anyone is/was interested in  semi-hollow or hollow body guitars, CME got a fresh shipment of several Memphis models.

Whole other price bracket, but if you were looking at these before then that shouldn't phase you.

Oh Schnapps!

Sam Ash just drop a 2017 Les Paul CLASSIC into the sale @ $1500

http://www.samash.com/les-paul-classic-2017-t-electric-guitar-heritage-cherry-sunburst-glpcs17hs-p

-"T" variant, in cherryburst

-'57 zebra humbuckers

-comes with case, multi-tool and strap

If it was me, I'd be on the phone trying to get the Greenburst for that price  .  Nice thing is that since this is an advertised price, you should have little trouble PM'ing your favorite vendor (your favorite finish... idunno).

8omK4e8.png

EDIT:  Oops. Forgot to add this other deal.

ProAudioLand has a Halloween sale going until Nov 1.

-use promo code "SPOOKY15"

http://www.proaudioland.com/halloween-sale-2017

Might be a way to get that special Fender you always wanted. Worth a call to find out anyway.

And if the code doesn't take, do what they say:

"If your code doesn't work at checkout, just give us a call at 1-877-671-2200 because some brands allow us to discount over the phone and we will get you taken care of quickly."

California residents pay no sales tax with promo code "NOTAXCA".  But don't know if it stacks with the Halloween sale.  Again, just call and see what they can do.

Saw this over on slickdeals:

Gretsch G5438 Electromatic Pro Jet  for $250, thru Adorama

https://www.adorama.com/gr2517010544.html?sdtid=10719228&emailprice=t&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_source=rflaid62905

Chambered basswood body, arch maple top, filtertron pups, "Les Paul" like in looks but definitely not in sound... so read up on this model and try hearing sound clips (you may or may not dig it).

Always wanted to get one but they were never at a reasonable price like this. Oh well.

Hey Crazed, Gretsch is close to a Fender, right? So this counts as a deal ;)

Also, Guitar Center is revving up their Space Bucks promo: $10 in space bucks for every $50 spent.

http://www.guitarcenter.com/pages/GC-Bucks.gc?icid=409416

Can be worth it if you were prepping for a big purchase anyway (ie: buying GC giftcards and using them once you get the space bucks. At least that use to work; guessing it still would).  Hopefully that big purchase wasn't gonna be a new Gibson considering the new price increase, smh.

Just watch the details: purchases must be made from 11/2 -11/5, space bucks delivered between 12/26 and 12/27, space bucks expire 1/2/2018 (Sheesh, talk about helping you miss out on redeeming your space bucks)

And finally, Sweetwater is doing pre-BlackFriday deals, which can change between now and 11/19

https://www.sweetwater.com/sale/pre-black-friday?promo_name=preblack_friday_2017&promo_id=pre_black2017&promo_creative=Banner&promo_position=Homepage

No wild deals so far, but they do have some decent accessory deals for Dunlop picks, D-addario strings, fast-fret 2 pack and Schaller straplocks.  Remember to check back every now and then for any new additions

Yeah - be careful with those GC space bucks. When I bought my Taylor, they never came. I got the guys at my local store to just deduct $150 from my microphone, but I would have been piased if they hadn’t made it good.

Makes me want to buy that Fender offset...

Monoprice sale on their Electric and Acoustic guitars (20% off)

https://www.monoprice.com/pages/guitarsale

Strats and Teles @ $160

Les Pauls @ $184

Spruce top acoustic @ $144 / Cedar top acoustic @ $208

NOTE-these are the newest version of monoprice guitars.  Build quality is suppose to be better, but I personally don't know.  So take a bit of time to read reviews.

Oh, and there's gonna be another Joe Bonamassa signature guitar, 1958 "Amos" Flying V.

Here's his og Gibson model next to the sig version.

DAibb9bXgAARG7p.jpg

If they invested the same time & quality as they did with the "Treasure" Firebird I, then this will be just as kick-ass.  But pricing is getting out of control.  Some German site has a page up and the price they listed converts to about $1,000 US (899 Euro).

https://www.session.de/EPIPHONE-Joe-Bonamassa-1958-und-quot-Amos-und-quot-LTD-Korina-Flying-V-Outfit.html?listtype=search&searchparam=korina

Hopefully, it's more like $899 US vs.899 Euro.  That would put it similar in pricing to the Firebird, which was 799 without the case (and the case was about 100 more).

EDIT:  street price is $899 with the case. Here's Sweetwater's link:

https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/EDJBANGH

German site specs it out as:

-Korina body and neck EDIT: still unclear if multi-piece body with veneer or two solid blocks

-rosewood fretboard EDIT: FSC certified Blackwood

-Gibson Burstbucker pickups (2 & 3) EDIT: turns out they will be Epi Probuckers

-2 volume, 1 master tone

-CTS pots, switchcraft toggle switch

-stringthru V tailpiece and ABR bridge

-comes with hard case (probably the one in the pic)

-Releases around February 2018 (don't think any US vendors are taking preorders yet)EDIT: pre-orders up at several retailers now

Guitar Center Black Friday ad is up

https://www.bfads.net/stores/guitar-center/ads/black-Friday

Seeing a whole bunch of MSRP at first, but jump to page 5.

-Epiphone Les Paul Special I with P90's @ $119 (red or black)

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Epiphone/Les-Paul-Special-I-P90-Electric-Guitar.gc

Good guitar but not so great price.  The black model was 95 just a few days ago. Hell, they hit 79 last year.

-Squier FSR Bullet Mustang @$119 (surf green or Olympic white)

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Squier/FSR-Bullet-Mustang-HH-Electric-Guitar.gc

This looks like a special run of these Squier mustangs...

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Squier/Bullet-Mustang-HH-Rosewood-Fingerboard.gc

and if they are, then these should be good.  The black/blue Mustang has been getting good reviews on its build, fit and finish so if you like it get it.  $120 will most likely be the lowest you'll find these new. Fender doesn't do aggressive price drops nowadays.

-third $120 guitar is an acoustic, Epiphone PR-150 (natural or sunburst

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Epiphone/PR-150-Acoustic-Guitar.gc

No electronics on board, so pure acoustic. And the site doesn't say it but I gotta think this is all laminate back, sides and top, which is normal for this price range.

Ernie Ball strings for electric or acoustic, 3 packs for $10

D'Addario strings for electric or acoustic, 12 pack for $30

TC Electronics pedal bundle - choose 3 pedals (from list) for $120 total

There's also a 15% off coupon on the back of the flyer (I'm sure there a plenty of restrictions, lol)

That pedal deal is insane... TC makes some great pedals.

If I weren't such a Fender snob, I'd consider one of those Squiers. I may consider one, anyway, just to have one that I'm not afraid to leave sitting out so I can just pick up and play...

Having a guitar out and at the ready is great motivation to keep playing.  Doesn't matter if it's on a stand or on the wall, just seeing it every day drives you to pick it up and play.

I tend to play my cheaper stuff more just because it's out more and I'm not worried about leaving it out.  I don't like to leave the expensive stuff out of it's case unless I'm using it.

And yeah, I want one of those Fender offsets but I have a hard time with the price they want for a MiM guitar.  Hell, I didn't jump when I saw them last year at $400.  The MiM stuff is great, but to me (right or wrong) they're on the same tier as Korean made stuff and I was able to get my Schecters for under $250. So, I keep waiting...

Maybe I'll grab one the Squier Mustangs.  I do prefer humbuckers anyway.

OK, gotta post this here too, cuz it just seems like a very cool amp at a killer price.

Please post if you've used this.  I'm this close to pulling the trigger.

Ashdown B-Social Stereo 75W 2x5 Bass Combo Amp @ $200

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Ashdown/B-Social-Stereo-75W-2x5-Bass-Combo-Amp.gc?CJAID=10432687&CJPID=4485850&CJSID=462d1800cb2411e787b3ce95ad32fc490INT

Someone at slickdeals already did some work so here's that post

https://slickdeals.net/f/10823927-ashdown-b-social-stereo-75w-2x5-bass-combo-amp-black-200-629-street-price-works-for-guitar-too-fs-199-99?src=SiteSearchV2_SearchBarV2Algo1

And here's a link to a video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uClOQOApS1k

Basically, it's a solid-state bass amp, that works with bass or guitar... or both at the same time.

-comes with built-in wireless receiver and has a wireless transmitter

-link to a pc for recordings

-use phone apps to get other effects

-stream music via Bluetooth

-and it's in a fairly small package.

Music & Arts Black Friday ad is out.

https://www.bfads.net/stores/music-and-arts/ads/black-Friday

Very slim pickin's. Best offering is

-20% coupon, good in-store or online (online code BF20)

-a bit hard to read but I think the online code is valid NOW.

The other interesting offer is

-free Laurel Canyon acoustic guitar or ukelele, with purchase of 1 month's worth of lessons (in-store only)

-no idea on the cost for the lessons

-and I would hope they do a set-up on the guitar they give you, but probably not. So, I guess go for it if you planned on taking lessons anyway.

Eastwood Guitars has a pre-Black Friday sale going

https://eastwoodguitars.com/collections/pre-black-Friday

-if you're not familiar, Eastwood likes to revive old-school models as well as produce newer, funky designs

 [ EDIT:  signing up for their mailers gets you a 10% off coupon ]

Of the bunch on sale, the most familiar designs would have to be

-Airline Tuxedo (les paulish like, with P90 pups) @ $650

https://eastwoodguitars.com/collections/pre-black-friday/products/airline-tuxedo

-Eastwood Fireball tribute (jaguar-like, with P90 pups) @ $600. Based on the Glenn McDougall Fireball design.

https://eastwoodguitars.com/collections/pre-black-friday/products/eastwood-fireball

-DEVO fans can get a 2x4 tribute model @ $500

https://eastwoodguitars.com/collections/pre-black-friday/products/la-baye-2x4-devo-sig

And they have a few different mandolin variants.  If I ever decide to tackle that I'll need to come back for

-Eastwood Mandocaster @ $250

https://eastwoodguitars.com/collections/pre-black-friday/products/mandocaster

Still waiting for the Sam Ash BF ad to pop up. TBH, not expecting them to do much beyond the Gibson blowout they have been doing... though it would be nice to know for sure.

Here's what they currently have out there

http://www.samash.com/s/term/gibson+vault

The Les Paul Studio Deluxe III guitars are the newest addition.

And they found some more Les Paul CM guitars (though they bumped the price up)

-Supro Thunderbolt @ $650 (not the plus version)

https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Thunderbolt

-15% off JHS, Morgan, Friedman, Egnater, Wampler, Diezel and Bogner pedals

NOTE: Like I said, there's a whole bunch of stuff... too much to post it all.  Just use the primary link and go from there.

BTW, the Blackstar amp says sold out, but at this moment it's still orderable.

FYI, the 20% coupon at Music & Arts DOES work on Supro amps.  Wouldn't be as cheap as this Supro amp deal, but it would let you choose one of the other models. Ditto for the Blackstar amps.

Musicians Friend Black Friday doorbusters are live too.

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/black-friday-deals?icid=212563

A quick heads up to anybody considering the Guitar Center BF deal on the Epiphone Les Paul Special I with P90.

MF currently has them on sale as low as $95.20 for the Black finish, $119 for the yellow or red.

Haha, beat me to it.

Only thing that confuses me is the finish. Don't remember this being an option. Maybe it was a special run for a dealer???

Oh and the description is slightly off when compared the to photos they used.

Adorama also has two Fender strats on sale. Use promo code BLACKFRIDY:

-American Special in Mystic Seafoam for $750

Sam Ash Black Friday ad is out.

https://www.bfads.net/stores/sam-ash/ads/black-Friday

**Very Important** ad says prices are only valid in store.

11/22/17 Update - just got an email stating BF deals will go live on the website at 4pm today

Nothing too wild.

-advertising a couple of the Gibson guitar deals.

-couple of Fender Guitar deals (small discounts)

*Epiphone Les Paul SL for $89 (ebony only/$10 savings)

http://www.samash.com/les-paul-sl-electric-guitar-enolxxxxx-p

Sadly, they cut too many corners on these SL's. You should probably skip unless you feel comfortable tinkering/modding guitars.

HOTONE skyline pedals for $29

*Blues overdrive

http://www.samash.com/skyline-series-blues-overdrive-pedal-htpsod2xx-p

*Liftup clean boost

http://www.samash.com/skyline-series-liftup-clean-boost-pedal-htpsdb1xx-p

Best potential deal is the

*Supro Westbury guitar for $370 (black, white, blue, turquoise)

http://www.samash.com/2020-westbury-electric-guitar-s2020awxx-p

This is cheaper than used pricing. And the potential for this to be a great deal comes from a Supro promo...

-Island series guitars are eligible for a $130 coupon, good for Supro merchandise available at suprousa.com

-the Westbury happens to be an "Island Series" guitar

-and will you look at that... a Supro hardshell case for "Island series" guitars cost $130

NOTE: must submit name, email address, store name and proof of purchase to [email protected] or via web at suprousa.com/coupon.  Promo ends 12/01/17

Now you gotta decide if you even want the Supro and all it's retro gooeyness

ProAudioLand Black Friday sale is live!

http://www.proaudioland.com/black-friday-sale-2017

Legend of Zelda Series for Guitar (book) for $12.13

https://www.amazon.com/Legend-Zelda-Guitar-Tab/dp/0739082817/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1511729999&sr=8-1&keywords=zelda+for+guitar

Combine with the info in tonyxvx's thread to save another $5 off any amazon book order of 20 (promo code GIFTBOOK17)

https://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/365629-5-off-20-amazon-book-purchase-giftbook17/

You could try adding Super Mario for Guitar to meet the $20 threshold ;)

And Musicians Friend will do HOURLY stupid deals again, starting tomorrow.

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/stupid

UPDATE:

Costco in-store has a garage stool for $40. (See page 3 of the bfads scan)

https://www.bfads.net/stores/costco/ads/black-friday/page-3#viewer

That's 10 off the regular price and only available in-store. Ends when the BF sale ends (tonight/tomorrow???)

-adjustable height

-has a detachable back rest.

Definitely a good choice if you've been looking for a stool, when playing guitar.

Costco online only has a 2-pack for $90

https://www.costco.com/Ultra-Cushioned-Pneumatic-Shop-Stool%2c-2-pack.product.100306633.html

The in-store version has a different backrest.  Otherwise, nearly the same.

UPDATE #2:

Rocksmith 2014 Remastered is $20 thru steam (50% off)

http://store.steampowered.com/app/221680/Rocksmith_2014_Edition__Remastered/

Also, most of the DLC is 40% off, including songpacks (again, thru steam)

Ugh! Totally spaced on the Gonkulator pedal from Sweetwater.

Checking shipping times for my BF binge and looks like I never completed that order :headache:  :cold:  :bs:

Oh well, I'll find another way to annoy the people I love.

BTW, there's a slightly better deal on the Supro Westbury, thru Alto Music.

https://www.altomusic.com/supro-island-series-westbury-solidbody-electric-guitar-in-blue-metallic

$350, free shipping and  15% back in Altobucks. (only available in ocean blue).

-the Altobucks deal would be about another $52 savings good towards a future purchase

-if you're quick enough you could still catch the Digitech Luxe pedal for $50 or the Trio pedal(that every store seems to be unloading) for $50

And don't forget about the Supro $130 Coupon promo (see prior post for those details).

As for Cyber Monday(week) deals, it's pretty much been a continuation of the BF deals.

At least, I didn't notice anything new/better, but I have been busy...

Please put me in your will, Frosty. I swear that when your tower of guitars falls on you and crushes you, I’ll come to CA, clean all the blood off of the axes and love them as my own until the day I die...

... you mean love them 'til the day the tower falls and crushes you too.

Alto Music is now selling the Supro Jamesport for $299 (white, bronze, blue) :hot:

https://www.altomusic.com/supro-jamesport-single-pickup-solid-body-electric-guitar-in-bronze

This is the single pup model; think "LP junior". Bronze was a C.M.E. exclusive, but guess that don't matter now, lol.

-the Altobucks promo is still active; use promo code ALTOBUCKS15 to 15% credit on a future purchase

-today is the last "safe" day to also take advantage of the Supro $130 coupon promo. Purchase must be made between 09/01 - 12/01

__________          __________          __________

Got my Squier baby Mustang today.  Went with seafoam

kULK9dk.jpg

Good solid build, tuners holding firm and decent tone variety between the two pups and the tone knob.

So it's holding true as a good choice in this $100+ price range.

Only gripes are

-about four fret ends (just enough edge to them that you can feel with your fingertips)

-grimey/dirty frets. Might be the strings but won't hurt to polish the frets up while I do the re-string

I was going to go with my normal 10's and fully expected it to feel more slinky (due to it being a short scale guitar). But I may need to go out and buy 11's (think the current strings on there now are 10's).

Also got to try out the Ashdown amp, beyond just music streaming.

It's firmly in the practice/tabletop amp category, which is fine by me. If I want to rattle the walls, I'll hook up some extension cabinets or powered monitors.

TonRrtO.jpg
qSHSxIE.jpg

(Pay no mind to the saran wrap... it's keeping the glossy faceplate safe from dirty looks)

KbB9vDq.jpg

All the wireless connections plus the ability to accept bass and guitar inputs at the same time were the big draws for me.  Streaming music and connecting to a pc are bonuses.

So far, nice clean and clear sounds at all volume levels. Think it's a keeper (@$200, 650-NoThxU).

Actually lucky it works at all, considering the condition of the box

DiGk6UC.jpg

It was trashed all over.  That hole on the "AL" of B-SOCIAL woulda been scary if it had been on the speaker side of the amp.

So what did the Great Omnipotent Turkey get you???

Sam Ash sent out an email with deals on ESP ltd guitars.

I think a couple of these were already up on the site.  But some look like new choices... I think.

Here's the link to the sale page (ESP guitars are about halfway down):

http://www.samash.com/s/term/bf2017specials

And here are a few direct links:

-ESP LTD m-50fr @ $199 (neon green or neon orange)

http://www.samash.com/ltd-m50fr-electric-guitar-em50frxxx-p

-ESP LTD mh-100qm @ $249

-ESP LTD sn-200ht @ $269

Plus a couple bass guitars:

-ESP LTD f-104 @ $299 (4 string bass in black)

http://www.samash.com/esp-ltd-f-104-bass-ef104blkx

-ESP LTD f-155dx @ $299 (5 string bass in purple or walnut)

http://www.samash.com/esp-ltd-f-155dx-5-string-bass-ef155dxxx

UPDATE:

Guitar Center is running an "IN-Cart Pricing" promo.  Must add item to cart, to see the discounted price.

http://www.guitarcenter.com/In-Cart-Offer.gc?icid=409746#pageName=collection-page&N=44078&Nao=0&recsPerPage=90&&Ns=pHL&postalCode=91754&radius=100&profileCountryCode=US&profileCurrencyCode=USD

Bunch of different Squiers and Fenders are in the sale.  But everything I checked was only getting a 15% discount.  Damn they're stingy (or am I too cheap, lol).

UPDATE #2:

New addition to the Alto Music sale:

Daisy Rock Skulls&Flowers guitar for $100

https://www.altomusic.com/daisy-rock-rock-candy-graphic-skulls-and-roses

I would so fuck 'n rock the isht out of this guitar.  I mean, seriously... it's got fuck 'n pink skulls!

I don't care if it's a sticker, it's-a-pink-skull-paisley guitar... if only it wasn't for that damn neck (I know I would hate that slim & narrow neck).

-qualifies for the Alto Bucks promo, so you get 15% credit good towards a future purchase

-they still have the DigiTech Luxe pedal in stock @ $50

https://www.altomusic.com/digitech-luxe-polyphonic-detune-pedal

-they also have the Ampeg Classic Analog Bass preamp pedal @ $80

https://www.altomusic.com/ampeg-classic-analog-bass-preamp-pedal

Daisy Rock is sorta/kinda BFF with Schecter Guitars, just geared more towards girls.  They try to make their guitars lighter and/or the necks more comfortable for girls to play.  Quality can be hit or miss

UPDATE #3: as of 12/07/17

Sam Ash added new Supro models to their sale page.  Same link as before but here it is anyway:

http://www.samash.com/s/term/bf2017guitardeals

This deserves a post, all by it's lonesome...

Gibson ES-335 studio for $850 :hot:

https://reverb.com/item/6593894-gibson-memphis-es-335-studio-ginger-burst-floor-model

Look, I get that it's a studio and it's Gingerburst (blegh, ick), but... it's a 335 for $850! :hot:  :hot:  :hot:

Floor model sold by Chicago Music Exchange, thru Reverb. I've posted about these floor models before but you can call CME up direct and ask them about it.  They'll even process the order by phone. This should be just like the other Gibson floor models they've been selling off. Call and they'll fill you in on the details

UPDATE: as of 12/09/17

Pro Audio Land has a very low-key promo going on right now.  Got an email from them titled "Stupid Deals are Junk"

* point is to submit an offer on a piece of gear you want and see what they reply

- I said I wanted a new Twin Reverb amp for under a grand, shipped.  They came back with an offer under $1200

Anyway, check your email or...

submit an email to [email protected] , make sure the subject line reads "Stupid Deals are Junk" and submit your Stupid (cheapass) deal request

UPDATE #2:

Musicians Friend has a Holiday Doorbuster sale going (no clue when it started, lol)

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/holiday-doorbusters?icid=212730#pageName=collection-page&N=3009172&Nao=0&recsPerPage=90&&Ns=pLH&profileCountryCode=US&profileCurrencyCode=USD

Stuff ranges from accessories, instruments, amps, etc.  Some of it looks like normal pricing, some of it does look cheaper.

Here's some stuff I noticed:

-Squier Bullett HSS strat @ $120

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/squier-bullet-hss-stratocaster-electric-guitar

-Epi Les Paul Special I with P90's @ $119

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/epiphone-les-paul-special-i-p90-electric-guitar

-Epi Wildkats @ $319

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/epiphone-limited-edition-wildkat-studio-electric-guitar

-Ashdown B-Social amp @ $250

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifiers-effects/ashdown-b-social-stereo-75w-2x5-bass-combo-amp

And one more item

-Ashdown ABM 115 NEO bass cabinet @ $370

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifiers-effects/ashdown-abm-115-neo-1x15-w-horn-bass-cab-300w--8-ohm#productDetail

I'd like to say it's a good pairing for the B-Social amp, but I can't seem to find any reviews on the damn thing.  Best I found was someone happy that's it's sooo lightweight, lol.  My google-fu is not strong today :whistle2:?
