Rogers Video's 2 for $40: Location & Stock

Hi there. I decided that this would be a good time to start a new thread. The other thread was alright, but I wanted to show what I've seen and which location(s) that I've been too. The main point of this new thread is to help out each other here at CAG by telling each other what stores have what, or which stores to avoid.

Anyway, I've only been to the Kipling & Dixon Rd. RV here in Toronto so far, and here's what they have:

PS3 (only 2 titles):
Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End
Motorstorm

Xbox360:
Eragon
Quake4 (no box)
Viva Pinata
Cabela's Big Hunt
Project Gotham Racing 4 (no manual)
Tony Hawk's Project 8
Surf's Up

Wii:
Godzilla Unleashed
Petz Dogs2
Monkey Ball
Bionicle

Lots of PS2 & Xbox titles. Happy hunting ppl! Please post what you find and which location(s) that you've gone too. Thx!

edit: My brother told me that he went to the Wellesley & Yonge location and they had nothing of interest. There's also one RV East of Yonge on Bloor St. but they only sell new games and don't have any 2 for $40.

Oh, that sucks. I would hate having to ask someone to scan each game to see if the sticker price is the true price.
 
Unfortunately head office regularly updates prices as games age and such. And most Rogers store probably just don't have the time or manpower to go and be updating stickers every week on PPV games.

Hmm....I may have to go check today then. I hardly have any money....but if I can get two for $40 and they'd actually be good...I'd say that I don't need to eat for a few days :p

I just checked, but either they pulled the exact same games or it's just the same games from the last time I checked. I'm going to go with the latter option though...

a) at the managers discretion if theres nothing they want to pull they wotn pull
b) varies from location - location
c) usually happens late atleast from my experience like 8-10
 
Gah. Anyone want copies of Mass Effect or Lost Oddessy? I am really interested in COD4 or Burnout Paradise. Let me know ASAP so I can pick up those games.
 
I'd love Lost Odyssey. I've got some stuff you might want for it.

In normal 2/$40 news I got Turok 4 & Turning Point Fall of Liberty both for 360
 
Sale's still on at West Boulevard and 39th, which is surprising since they're usually the last to participate and the first to stop the sales. The huge selection of PS2/XBOX games could explain it though. Best titles were Warriors Orochi and Eternal Sonata for 360, Soldier of Fortune for PS3.

What the hell man, do you get a call from Rogers saying they've got this title in? I've found some decent copies but never on the level you keep getting. Nice job!
 
Damn magiic I wish I saw your post earlier but I have a potential trade on hold for Lost Oddessey, unless you might happen to have Burnout Paradise or COD4? I will let you know if the trade falls through.

In 2/40 news, I assume today is the last day the sale is on?
 
I have a mint/complete COD4 for 360 I'd trade for Lost Oddysey. My COD4 I bought new though, it's not a prev Rogers rental. I'd only trade it for L.O. if LO is mint/complete.

Wow, you guys find better deals than I do, and I work at Rogers.

I think I just picked the wrong location though, Stony Plain Rd and Millwoods usually get the most copies. Millwoods got something like 15 copies of SSBB, while we only got 5, and none of ours have been PVd yet.

EDIT:
I work at the Jasper Ave location in Edmonton, say a hello if you can figure out who I am.

You work at the Jasper Ave location? I have gone in there 3 times in the past month (well...past 2 months I guess), but you guys never put out any new games. Is there a certain day you put out new games?

I'm not 100% sure if they are, but they most likely are. If you go in, just make sure you ask if it's on if there aren't any signs advertising it. Lots of locations will have the games on sale and just not have it advertised - so just make sure to ask, basically. Just a heads up.

I check that location every now and then at lunch time. Do you work at that time. Can you confirm that the pulls are usually wednesday night?

I don't work at lunch, but I can say that we usually do ours in the morning.

BUT, we havn't pulled anything but a PSP game and an Xbox game in the last 3 weeks.


Besides, I get first dibs.
