I'm sorry if I made you guys feel old, yeah....I grew up with RPGs (watching my parents play Final Fantasy VII/VIII, Parasite Eve, Star Ocean) and my first RPG I played was FFIX. I didn't really get into the RPG scene till the PS2 era, when FFX came out, and after that game, the rest is history

No, suikoden 1 is the best rpg :D. Just look at the boxart for example, so epic that I thought it was a D&D rpg at first :lol:

well, you can still find the game now for $30 something on the net. Personally, this is the best rpg I've ever played (the boxart is another plus lol). I've beaten it around 7 times already, and never get bored of it.

When I first picked it up I thought it was the new Romance of the three kingdoms.

Clearly it's the superior game, you kill your father and become more powerful it's like an alternate universe Star Wars where Luke makes the right choice and slices up Vader.

Probably my favorite JRPG, although the battle graphics are a bit painful on the eye.

I always wondered what character he's supposed to be. It's a guy with a bow n' arrow, so I was thinking the elf but he looks absolutely nothing like him, not to mention no pointy ears. Bruce Campbell is obviously the MC, and mean old dude is Barbarossa. I guess the guy on the dragon is supposed to be Futch. No idea who the rest are supposed to be.

I still have KOTOR 2, but I could never get into it like I could with KOTOR, maybe I should try and go back to it
 
KOTOR 2 is rough around the edges and can be glitchy, but I still really enjoyed it. The first one is better, but if you're hungry for more KOTOR, 2 is the way to go.

I think I need to give Suikoden another shot. Played till you get a base or something on my PSP and just stopped, don't even know why. Seemed decent.

And it may be time for a KOTOR replay followed by finally playing KOTOR 2! Anyone recommend PC over xbox? I have em on xbox already, but they're so cheap on PC if they are better in some way I'll do that.

For old games like this always PC. There are some simple stuff like widescreen mod but the most important mod is the Restored Content Mod for KOTOR 2. This allow you to see a lot of stuff that was cut from the final game like HK factory and missing screen.

I've only played Suikoden I, Suikoden V, and Tierkreis, beat the first one but not V, although I liked V a lot (even though it started out REALLY slow), Tierkreis wasn't bad but not all that great (story seemed like it could be interesting though). I own all of the games though, haha, I-V, Tactics, and Tierdreis... just haven't played most of them still.
 
I finished Suikoden 1 on the PSX. Never played 2 of course. Started 3, it bored me to tears so I never finished it. Didnt touch IV or V. They're both just dust in the wind now. I dont go back to the previous generation once I've moved on.

same here, the only suikoden that I never beat is 3. For some reason, it just turned me off. anyway, has anyway played this game before? it is called Septerra Core. Currently on sale on gog.

I might actually play some Tales of Vesperia today, I haven't played it in 2 weeks or so and I would like to try and get the "Speedster" achievement as soon as possible

I always found Luca to be one of the best villains ever. It literally took everything you had to kill him.

You are not alone, but I too enjoy a killzonysis Cause of War Theft Auto every once in a while or a Fable Scrolls of warcraft 2. I just wish for a localization of galgun and some of the other wierd but interesting games.

Thank god icebeast changed his avatar, seeing two Yukari avatars was getting me all hot n' bothered.

Nice! Will def. pick up on PC then. Have KOTOR 1 on PC somewhere, but should be able to find 2 pretty cheap (after I poll my friends for a copy first of course)
