thanks guerrilla. i've never really used the trolley here, but i assume i can always jsut follow the crowd of people from qualcomm ^^

any idea what time the trolleys stop from the covention center?
 
Could anyone please stop by the hasbro booth and get me a Iron Man and Golden Idol Mighty Mugg? I fear they all sell out so quickly. I'll give some extra green for your trouble.

Hasbro is the most rediculous line to get into. There really is no stopping by, it's more like get lucky because they are adding people to the line and then wait in line for an hour.
 
Gosh I didnt know it was that horrible there. I wasnt expecting there to be a wait for that long to buy stuff. All the con's i've been to have been small so maybe thats why. I'd just appreciate if someone that was going to get some if they could i'd greatly appreciate it.

Heh, that's nothing. I waited 2 1/2 hours for the Gentle Giant Clone Trooper bust.

How are venders and buyers handled at comic con so many local shops go there and buy a bunch of stuff but dont get it till end of august. Why's that?
 
A friend of mine was going to fly out and sleep in a car to attend this, but now it's sold out and he's out of luck. Serves him right for bragging about all the exclusives he was going to pick up and bring back to rub in our faces.

I just wanted that Carmine figure.

Have fun everyone. I waited too long and they sold out. I'm really bummed out that I can't go. But I'm fucking pissed at those asshole scalpers on craigslist.

Lucky for me Kojima is going to be there signing stuff on the day that I go. I'll definitely be there for that!

Make sure to pick up the stealth 20th Anniversary MGS3 Snake figure exclusive and get that signed :hot: I'm surprised he's gonna be there. I missed out when he was at the metreon here in the bay. Damn them for cutting the line so early.

Nobi: you willing to break into the Hasbro booth and get the transformers and gi joe mighty muggs? I'm seriously kidding but i'm serious about getting those damn things.

If you see any venture brothers stuff i'd totally be interested in buying it. Has anyone seen anything from Astrobase Go?
 
I'll see what I can snag. If I pick any of that stuff up it's yours. Where is the MGS3 Snake figure? I haven't heard anything about that. If I can snag one and get it signed it's yours for just shipping and item cost. I'll be there anyway and if it isn't a hassle I don't mind getting an extra.

I was suggesting for you as a collector, but since you offered :D Yeah i dont know how long he's signing but i'm sure it'll be a wait. Dont waste your time if your going to the panels. They got it so backwards this year by the sounds. But it would be awesome to get something signed by the man himself.

I have my MGS LE still sealed as well those things are like gold bars. Even outlasting the American economy.

But yeah if you see Venture Bros stuff i'd go apeshitz and my gf would too.

He's signing for about 2-2 1/2 hours... from like 10am-12:30. What exactly is the Venture Bros stuff?
 
Anything Venture Bros related. Doc Hammer or Jackson Public is gonna be there somewhere. I know they might be selling stuff. Even if its just a leaflet it would be awesome and treasured. We got like a little venture bros shrine that we worship at like the golden warhead from planet of the apes.

If you can get Kojima to sign an action figure that would be awesome dude. I wish you the best of luck. The Figure i speak of is this.

I got goosebumps from that link. The original came out before I was born, but I saw it on VHS just a few summers ago. Holds up incredibly well. I'm excited.

Does anybody know what panel this was???

Two edits already but I gotta say, if Pixar or John Lassetter is involved in some capacity this will kick ass.

I'm gonna try to get down there by 9am. Considering they open at 9:30, not much advantage in getting there too too early but still...

I missed out on today cuz my father needed to go to the dentist, sister schedules his emergency appt. at 3pm and like a moron I say "gee, that's plenty of time to upgrade my iphone". 12 hours later after discovering I'm a moron who doesn't know the difference between DFU and restore mode, its all good but I was sans cell phone for a while. :/ :D

yeah GL getting there.
there are advantages getting there early if youre volunteering AND taking the trolley. should be about a 45min-1 hr trolley ride.
if i head out at 730 ill get to the convention center by 830/9am and ill be assigned something

u see those patapon magnets? thats what im after, if i get a set ill be happy lol especially since its free

Hey guys... I was able to pick up a few extra things if anyone is interested. I have an extra Spawn/Spartan McFarlane code to buy the figures (Comic-Con exclusive... they sign your badge so you can only get one!) and a Gears of War Carmine exclusive that looks badass. I was also able to get a knight from Castle Crashers and had it signed by the artist...but that one's all mine.

I was able to have my MGS3: Subsistence Limited Edition signed by Kojima himself! It was still sealed but I tore a little piece off the front just so he could sign it on the box. Kojima thought that was pretty funny. The artist that does all the MGS artwork, Yoji Shinkawa, was also there signing and I had him sign my open box version of the MGS3: Subsistence LE. The hour wait was totally worth it.
 
i saw hideo kojima walking right beside me for a few mins it was funny. he had like 5 guards escorting him to the bathroom,

will probably post pictures, my legs are gonna fall off.

i got to volunteer from 2pm-5pm during the American Dad, Family Guy, Bones Showing it was so awesome. time went by so fast, the casts were hilarious. i just had to say... exit is that way for 3 hrs. lol

Dude, Kojima is the man! I wonder how much my MGS3:Subsistence LE is worth now that it's signed by the man himself?

Oh and did anyone see the new Prince of Persia game? Holy crap it looks like an anime movie. The artwork in that games is completely amazing. The last couple of Prince of Persia games haven't been all that impressive. This one looks absolutely amazing. I'm a little upset that the whole time-shifting/reversing is gone, though. Instead, the girls saves you if you get sucked into the darkness in some magical way that looks REALLY cool.

Kojima was awesome. He signed autographs for over an hour. I'm quite happy. :)

Besides the autograph, this year con felt a little frustrating cuz of the crowds. :(
 
yeah i got friggen crushed at... i forgot what place it was but they were givin out some iron man USB drives and those G.I joe posters. i got a cool ironman dvd case.

Yeah I was lucky enough to do some fun panels two years back. One was for DC comics, but the one before it was pretty boring. Makes the time fly a lot faster.
 
the coolest swag i got was the patapon magnets.. my mom was like wtf is that on our fridge. lol

Coolest swag had to be the Iron Man USB flash drives. The content sucks but I like the way they look. They are 512MB's which isn't too bad.
Was able to purchase the figures that I wanted so It that was pretty cool, the hour I spent in line to get a ticket to be able to get inline to buy toys sucked ass though. Hasbro disappointed me big time.

BTW... did you play the new Red Faction? The destruction is awesome in that game. I also tried Castle Crashers again for the second year in a row. Definite day 1 buy for me.
 
I thought the Mattel booth was much worst than Hasbro. I got lucky with Hasbro yesterday. I have 2 extra tickets to get in that line (grabbed for myself and from a friend) and I'm really debating if I want to get anything. If I get anything, it'll be for my friends.

I also found out a bit late that at the WB booth you get a LEGO Batman figure in a collectible (cardboard) box, when you collect the LEGO pieces of The Joker figure. Stopping by the LEGO Batman game and playing a bit will get you a piece of The Joker, I know DC, LEGO, and WB had the game so I guess you'd get the legs, chest, and head by attending all three. I attempted to do this after I found out and was told they were out till tomorrow. Today was my only day of attending...oh well. I also wanted to score this figure and I totally forgot:

nice markman, i went into the gaming room but i didnt wanna shout, WHOS MARKMAN? haha it was fun, i played my friend tekken and watched some rockband.
