A picture may be worth a thousand words in other situations, but in this case, it's worth a :whistle2:s

yea we got tags for them yesterday. the sandisk MS pro duos are really 20 bucks and scan that way. I plan on snagging one myself.

Dammit, I hate B&M deals as opposed to online. Especially Circuit City with their (mostly) mentally disabled staff. But $20 for a 4GB MSProDuo? Might be worth a trek through the insane asylum (i.e. Circuit City).

hmm I'm gonna swing by CC tomorrow monring anyway to grab some of the $5 DVDs this week so I will see if I can pick one of those up. Thanks OP! I'll let you guys know how it goes.

I might have to go check this out. It would be nice to have a 4GB card for the PSP instead of a 2GB one.

might have to return the one i got for 35 if this is true. I got to run to the post office tomorrow next to a CC will see then. not holding my breath though

I just went and bought 3 of them. They rang up as 20 each. The manager who was ringing me up got a wierd look on his face, and mentioned that it was VERY strange for them to be that price. As soon as I was out of the store he made a bee-line for the flash memory section. He is either buying them all up himself, becasue they only had 4 more left of that particular model, or he was taking them off the shelf. Either way I got my 3. Make sure you get the clear red ones though, the blue ones have a different UPC code on the back so it might not work for those. Thanks OP! I owe you greatly!

Just picked up one at my local CC in Hollywood. There was one left, but I saw another person who asked for it, so I guess it must of been sold. Thanks OP.

I just went back to the store to pick a couple up for my friends and the 4 that were left are now gone. Not sure if they sold out or if the manager pulled them off the shelf. The packaging on them still had the 99.99 sticker on them, so I'm not convinced they sold out.
Item number or something?
My CC is very difficult.
Sorry, but it would help.

Thanks
Here is what it says on my receipt:

**Sorry for the double post**

Hmmm, does anyone know if Gamestop takes these in as trades? If so, this could end up being a nice thing to flip.

If I order one online (they're available but $57.99, showing as in-stock at all my local CCs) will they honor a lower local (in-store) price?

I don't think so...CC is a pain in the ass.

They normal give around 35 for used 4 GB stick. Even if it is in the package, they will give you the 35 for trades. I'm not sure if that 30% will help out on that or not. It says games but nothing about accessories.

Actually, just found this-- I may go ahead and try to get one...

Q: What is Circuit City's On-Line Price Protection Policy?
A: Many purchases on our website are available for in-store pickup. If you select our In-Store Pickup option, you will automatically get the lowest price we're currently offering on the item(s) you purchased. If the in-store price on the day of pickup is lower than the price you saw on our website the day of your purchase, then you get the store price. We'll automatically refund the difference based on your original payment method.

Gamestop was not buying used memory sticks as of a few months back when I was trying to sell some back to them. Unless someone can correct me (from a recent trade), I don't think you can make any money that way.

they will give you half of their used price minus a few bucks. It wont metter if it is still in the package.

I don't think its a ymmv deal because the CC I went to have a sale sign stating it was on sale for an even $20. They have alot left. I didn't pick up any since I want to get it price match at Best Buy and I also hate CC.

I traded in two defective 4 GB sticks I got off eBay for 10 a pop about 1 month ago. They gave me 34.?? for each. They never check them in store so they don't know if they are any good or not.

What are you 13? Cops wont give a shit about a faulty memory card, if Gamestop accepted it, and paid him money for it, that's THEIR fuck up, not his.
Also Gamestop rips people off every day, he's not hurting them.

what happens if you were unaware that the sticks were fake? i know some friends who buy sticks from ebay that are fake but arent aware of it

Thanks for sharing this deal, OP! :applause:

I snagged two on the way home from work. The picture was extremely helpful, as there were about 5 different types in the case. The posted price was $59.99, but they rang up at a cool $20 even.

My GF just stopped by there and said 4GB rang up as $60. 2GB came up as $20. She argued with them and then they showed her some advertisement that said they were $20 OFF. ...So who knows.

Thanks, man. That's what I'm gonna do. Hopefully, I can get it for $19.99. Otherwise, back it goes.

Okay I guess defective was the wrong word to use. They worked fine, but not for homebrew, because they weren't original Sony's. They didn't have MagicGate support. At the time, I didn't know they would give me 30 a pop for them. I figured they would ream me like they do on everything you trade in to them.

I think the packaging is key. They had similar-looking 4GB sticks labeled as "Multiuse" or some crap. The $20 units are labeled "Gaming". (See OP's image)I don't recall the color of the multiuse sticks, but the ones I nailed look like this:

Yeah, the only ones on sale are the red ones. The multiuse cards are a blue/light blue type color. I made sure to get the ones that looked like the one in the first post. They really are the same sticks just different branding.

Bought 2 at my CC. The tag read $20. The packaging looks different from the OPs, but the cards are the same.

Thank you OP!:)

Thanks OP! I ordered 3 online with in store pickup. I got about $120 back when I picked them up. Good deal.

For those who got one, what is the warranty? It says "unlimited" on the site but most Sandisks I've seen are 1-3 years. I've only had bad luck with Sandisk memory sticks (I have 3, none work for more than 2-3 weeks before they start dropping out of my memory card reader, acting flaky, giving errors, etc).. I am tempted but keep thinking of my bad luck.

I've never had issues with Sony memory sticks...

5 years, according to the inner packaging.

I picked up two in the North Hollywood CC (Victory blvd.) since they sold out in CC Los Angeles(Sunset blvd.). They had three left and they were all labeled 99$. asked for a price check while holding two, and they rang up $20. Thanks a bunch OP!!

There is still one left in the CC in north hollywood.
