Seagate 1TB SSHD $90 at Amazon (Great for PS4)

Again, sorry to thread jack. But 5400RPM is not great and it's still slower than: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0097LG9U8/ which is 7200rpm and 1TB and $10 cheaper.
The Seagate is a Hybrid drive which means it had SSD (8GB) + HDD. It has been tested in the PS4 against the 7200rpm drive and preformed on par and better in some cases. In addition it doesn't have any of the possible heat or noise draw backs a 7200rpm drive may have.

This is the Hybrid HDD, on par if not faster than a 7200rpm drive probably the best hard drive for the ps4 besides an actual SSD. Here is a link where there is some more info / comparisons on hdd's for the PS4 http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=716288

EDIT: Thanks for posting this OP, was actually waiting myself to pick this up. Unfortunately I think i'm gonna hold off for now as i play Exclusives on the PS4 and multiplats on the PC, i don't think space will be an issue for a little while for me at least.

I won't upgrade to a 7200 again. I did that with my fat ps3 and after 5 years of it working perfectly it caused it to over heat. I was so sad. :(

So this exact drive would work great in Ps3 too, right?

Thinking of maybe getting the 12GB PS3 (if I have another opportunity to get it for $149), and slapping something like this in there. It's time to part ways with my ancient 120GB model PS3, since I'm chronically out of space - and it gets piping hot.

I would blame the whole move to ROHS compliant parts in electronics. The lead free solder is one of the main reasons newer electronics dont handle heat as well. I really dont think having to buy lead free versions of a product that fail much more often is any more eco friendly than having one with lead in it that lasts forever.
