Seanbaby is...

Yeah, I love reading his column in EGM. I've heard rumors that he isn't as funny in real life but his writing is almost always funny.

Seanbaby's website was great, until he sold out and stopped updating it.

And even when he does update it, it's just shit left over from his video game column now.
I think his gimmick has run its course. Never liked him and never will.
Same here, it's the same kind of joke over and over. I hope they eventually ditch his ass and expand the retro section.

Check out Broken Pixels and the two EGM podcasts he's done over at 1Up. I didn't really know who he was/didn't like him until I heard him on EGM live. And more than once, Broken Pixels has had me laughing so hard I've cried.
Werid looking dude. Always has a face expressions like he is about to shit himself.
BTW, did you get my PM?

He had a lot of what could be considered racist stuff (but it was funny, especially Luke Cage's stuff on the Hostess page)on there, but he took it off (or changed it) when he got a black girlfriend. Wonder why?

Seanbaby is hilarious in print, and hit-or-miss everywhere else. I used to think he'd make a great regular on a podcast, but I don't know if I could take his gamerpunk, Jim Carrey-with-a-bombpop-mohawk, manic mugging all the time.

I think his stuff was more pointing out the racism in some seemingly innocent places, like his bit about the Super Friends.

His old "Luke Cage" comments were ebonic-filled hilarity. Almost all of them have been changed.

For all of his apparently easily amused fans, here's a handy template for writing about a game just like your hero. Just fill in the info where applicable:

"This game is a nightmare. It's like I'm/you're (verbing) a (noun) like/with/against (forgotten 80's/90's celebrity)," but with less (plural noun).

Some of the stuff he did on his site early on is moderately funny, but really - this guy is a slightly wittier version of that Angry Nintendo Nerd moron. And if you think THAT guy is awesome, I can't help you.

i agree with you on that one hes liek what his late 30s dressing like a punker wannabe. grow the fuck up and get a real cut and some normal clothes you faux rebel. now sushi x was the man baby. i always used to love reading his reviews in egm sucks that he left or quit or was assasinated or something. man those were back in the good old days when egm was a hefty sob of a magazine you could read over and over for weeks on end. hell i once killed a man by hitting him with a rolled up holiday edition of egm from the 90s.

Seanbaby's website may be the funniest thing Ive ever seen on the web. Well, him and Maddox. I wish he would update that site once in a while.

And his 2 pages in the back of EGM are the part of the magazine I look forward to the most each month.

I agree that hes not as witty when hes live on a tv show or podcast, but he still has his moments. He used to do alot of stuff on the G4 channel, and it was pretty good.

Im a fan.

His site (which hasn't been updated in years) was funny because it was edgy. (I loved the saga with the biggest Nintendo fan, mailing back and forth.)

His article in EGM is complacent and neutered.

Same here. At first when I read his page in EGM I thought it wasnt too bad. Very juvenile but tolerable. The next month I had grown tired of it. Yeah, Barbie video games suck, I get it already.

And the last one I read about the pac man art book. He has a paragraph about how his girlfriend is black. Wow, mind blowing stuff there. Anything to get your girl in the mag I guess.

i remember reading once where he'd refused to review a terrible game for egm and instead just did a review of the box. had me in hysterics.

wtf would his gf have to do with a pacman art book? was she gobbling his cock like pacman gobbles power pellets? eh egm is barely readable anyway. feels more like a picture book full of ads and commercials.

That you, Discordia?

EDIT: I think you're referring to this, Shmitty:
His "Dear Nintendo, My Life Is A God Damn Mess" piece about Mark Discordia (the 32 year old man who wrote into NP in the 80's) is the funniest thing I've ever read in the history of the internet:
That, along with his other website stuff, is pretty funny.

I don't care much for his EGM Column, but since he's always getting this month's shovelware, it doesn't bother me at all. I'm not forced to read it, and I don't. That's about it, really.

I still find him funny, especially on Broken Pixels. The one with the boxing game and the Total Recall one were hilarious. I thought he was funny as a guest on EGM Live as well.

i have never read anything he has written, as I usually skip his articles. As for his 2 or 3 guest spots on egm's podcast, I usually would stop the show after about 15 min and delete it.

I've never seen his site. I used to somewhat enjoy his work in EGM, but it has been a while since I thought it was any good.
Seanbaby usually has me laughing my ass off.
Same here.

I really like his story about this guy who worked on the Total Recall game for NES making threats to him by emails that he told on EGM Live once.

He can be funny, So I voted for alright. He did attack of the show in the past when it was called screen savers. It was pretty funny stuff.

Currently 33 - 33 - 33 (and 17 for Who?)

Quite a spread.
"This game is a nightmare. It's like I'm/you're (verbing) a (noun) like/with/against (forgotten 80's/90's celebrity)," but with less (plural noun).

His piece on the worst games of all time (whenever that was that EGM did their "greatest games of all time" deal) is classic.

But I agree, his appeal has fadded quite a bit. But that may be because I think EGM is pretty much garbage now.

I voted for "who?" I have no idea who Seanbaby is, but with a name like that I'm kind of glad I stayed away from him.

I'll put it this way...

Adam Sessler is a beacon of coolness compared to SB.

He's ok...sometimes he makes me laugh sometimes I think the things he writes are just stupid.

I voted the 2nd option since I don't hate him like some other people in the VG industry (such as CliffyB)

his problem is routines. If you give him something to work with, like the 20 worst games ever or the E3 scavenger hunt, he can do some pretty funny stuff. When you give him the exact same 4 GBA liscenced shit every month, of course its gonna sound the same
I think his gimmick has run its course. Never liked him and never will.
Correct.
