Ok,

Here is a trade list for this thread!

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84947

I was passing by the game section while overhearing the employee talk about all 2 of their Xbox 360 systems they got in...

I noticed a few of the games were oddly priced..

Urbz, wario and Pokemon DS we $24.94 or some such thing.

There were many games this way so I am not sure if its a YMMV or what? No SALE signs were there and the tags were a plain white. It seemed to me that they were the current prices.

Here's a compiled list of everybody's finds so far in the thread. The price following the game title are the different reported prices.

All prices and availability is YMMV, and a lot of it seems to depend on the cashier. A lot of these games aren't in the system, and in many cases they won't sell them to you. Two options here:

A)If a game isn't in the computer when scanned, the cashier can try typing in the Stock number that is on the sticker for the game on the shelf.

B)Some people have had success bringing up another known priced game and getting both for that price.

* Also to note prices are rounded UP!!

if anybody would be so generous as to bestow Super Mario World or Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2, i'd greatly appreciate it. i'll trade stuff from my trade list and stuff from the sale. i'll go pick up a Dragon Quest VIII, NG: B, Baiten Kaitos, Castlevania: CoD, etc, if anyone needs anything.
Yeah I noticed that as well but I though I remember hearing that they raised the prices of the games on the website but the prices on the other games listed in this thread are still valid at B&M locations.
Still didn't confirm, local Sears didn't have MAT for PSP, but I know some stores that do so I'm going to make a UPC printout to scan.

I got a lot of games from my Sears when this first started months ago. Its been cleaned out since. I wish they would get more games and put them on clearance.

well i stopped by the Columbiana Mall Sears today, and they had some good stuff. i picked up a non PC Windwaker for $10, a non GH Ratchet and Clank 1 for $10, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2 for $25 (4 of them!!!, i might go back for more for trade, i only picked up one), Bujingai for $5, and carmen sandiego for $3. i passed on Mario Party 6 for $25, they had like 4 copies, but i'm not a big MP fan. also saw some of the other mainstays, as well as 3 $50 FF XIs with HDDs.

it would be fucking awesome if Sears halved the prices on Dark ALliance 2 and FF XI w/ HDD, which is why i only picked up the one DA 2 to play. i flipped the others upside down if any SC cags are reading this.

$25 is half the price of DA 2?

Today, April 1, is the last day of the select 50% off games at Sears. Stuff like Mario Tennis, Mario Party 6, FF XI HDD, Burnout Revenge, Dragon Quest VII, Castlevania: COD, etc. go back to full price April 2nd (at least according to the in-store price stickers indicating the sale dates). Many Sears still have a lot of the games left, so get them while they last!

The pink tagged clearance stuff should still be the same prices come Sunday, just the 50% off sale games with the red & white stickers is ending.

Yesterday, a visit to Sears in Altoona, PA netted a Taiko drum master, a copy of Ico, and a $10 copy of Astroboy GBA. They didn't have any GBA NES classics, Kingdom Hearts, or Wario Twisted.

I'll gladly trade the copy of Ico for Wario Twisted if anyone is interested.

well uhh it's the clearance price. i was hoping they'd drop it to $15 or $12.50, to sate my inner CAG. i hate paying $25 for an old ass game.

$25 for a sealed DA 2 is a hell of a steal.

it would be a steal on ebay, but the fact that it came out at roughly the same time as Champions of Norrath kills the deal in my mind. still, even at that price i was very happy. i mean, last time i was at this sears, they had nothing. i have no idea where all the clearance stuff came from. maybe it was in storage.

I'm holding out hope that those sale games actually DROP in price on April 2nd. I noticed that a lot of them had those sale stickers on them before, that expired the day they went down in price again. For example, NG Black had a sale sticker of $24.97 that expired the day before it dropped to $14.97, Mario Tennis was stickered on sale at $44.97 with an expiration date of the day before it went to $24.97, etc.

Yeah that is the case with the other items on clearance like Warioware Touched. It was $24.97 in October/Novembers, $12.97 in December/January, $8.97 in Feb, $4.97 in March so it will probably drop in price again to $2.97 soon. I wouldn't mind picking up some of those $24.97 games for $12.97

Hmm, I never even considered that the prices might go even lower. Most of those deals were already well worth it at 50% off. If anybody is going to Sears on Sunday, please try and confirm if the prices dropped or went back to normal.

On a side note: Does anyone know if there is a difference between the old black rectangular EyeToy Camera and the newer smaller rounder silver one? I got 2 EyeToy games from the Sears sale and my EyeToy Play 2 came with a black one and my EyeToy Kinetic came with the silver one. Don't need two, so I was wondering which one to keep.

well i went back for the last time until more $ off, picked up MK: Shaolin Monks, Burnout Revenge, KuF: Heroes, and Suffering Ties that Bind all for Xbox. i'm about to check the OP, but the controller adapters to use a PS2 controller on gamecube and xbox were marked $3.97. i picked one up, and i'll probably go back for the other one when i get the chance. considering they were $15 originally, big markdown. also there were about 4 new SMB 3 SMA 4s out that wouldn't ring up and the guy wasn't shall we say my homie enough to use a low clearance price.

if what you say turns out, bigger markdown tomorrow, i shall be getting some serious money back next time i drop in. let's hope Dark Alliance 2 goes down to $13.

oh and i passed on Castlevania, seeing as it's gone to $20 at both Best BUy and Sears, i have a feeling it'll be $15 or better $10 in the near future somewhere.

Castlevania: Curse of Darkness is still $40 at Best Buy.

yeah, but it was $20 at best buy a couple months ago, or maybe it was $30 during the $10 off coupon. idk, but you could have gotten it for $20 at bb at one point.

Popped into Sears while I was waiting for EBgames to open (that is what my life has come to, waiting outside for a game shop to open  ).

On the games front it was a mixed bag post-sale, some of the games have stayed at sale price but have now migrated to the bargain bin, examples would be NGB, Battlefront 2, Castlevania (all Xbox) that are now marked at $19.99, couple of R Racing Evolutions for $3.88.

A lot of the stuff has no gone back to full price, e.g. Virtua Tennis PSP - $39.99 (come on !!!), all the DS and GC games. The GBA games where still all at sale price, but maybe they hadn't got round to that cabinet yet.

So to sum up, majority of the stuff is back at full price, look to the bargain bin for any potential left over deals.

Actually, I believe a lot of the stuff is still on sale. Just be sure to scan what you're interested in. Today, I went to a Sears I hadn't been to recently and had some nice finds:

Mario Tennis (GC) - $24.97
Mario Pinball Land (GBA) - $17.97
Champions of Norrath (PS2) - $2.97

I also confirmed Baldur's Gate: DA2 (PS2) is still $24.97, but didn't get it.

There were new "sale" stickers on a lot of the games, saying the prices are in effect from 4/2 until 4/30. After 4/30, who knows...

alright, so those look like the same prices as before. i think i can hold out till May and see if there are some even better prices then. nice find on Champions btw, i'd love to find one for that price. Bujingai was $5 for me, btw. i guess other people got it for $3 as the OP suggests though.

Just got back from Sears. The one I went to appears to be continuing the sale. All of the games were still located in the 50% off bin. KUF Heroes, for example, rang up to 14.99. Personally, I was surprised to still see copies of NG Black and Castlevania in the bin. I'll check a different Sears store tomorrow to see if I can still pick up KOTOR 2 for 9.99 and to price check some gc, psp, and ps2 stuff to see if they are still half off.
Yay, i can still get donkey konga with bongos!
Got both DK1 and DK2 a couple of weeks back. Both at $25 even thought DK1 scanned up at $30. Just tell them that you got it out of the clearance bin. Hope theres another drop after this for an even better deal.

I don't know about R:RE for Xbox, but on GC it's a pretty good game. The drivers talk to each other (bitch at), which is cool. Reminded me of PS Destruction Derby 1 in that way.

i just picked up virtua tennis for $10 in hawthorne, ca so that price is still in effect.

in fact i saw some new prices listed which were not in the OP. Burnout Revenge - Xbox - $10 as well as a few others.

grabbed the last ICO for $10 as well. it was just hanging there. i had to.

I was bored in computer class today so I decided to go to UPC database and print a bunch of UPC's to scan at Sears to see if anything dropped in price. Doesn't look like anything was marked down:

Tiger Woods 2005 GCN, $15
Madden 2005 DS, $10
Madden 2005 XB, not showing up as in system
Metroid Gamecube system, not showing up as in system
Metroid Prime 1, $10 (thought it would be lower since I think it was reported to be $10 in Decmber)
Pokemon Dash, $15
Burnout Revenge XB, $15 (was hoping it was $10 since the above post said it was $10)
Zelda Wind Waker, $10

^^^Damn, I was hoping those Metroid Gamecube Systems would have dropped. I saw a few of them, but they are marked $99.99 so I don't think I can get away with it any cheaper if it's not showing up in the system. Thanks for going out of your way to check some prices, Yoshifan1!

Burnout 3 is the one marked $10 at most Sears. Maybe the other poster confused the two or that Sears store put the tag on the wrong game which has been known to happen before. I think Burnout Revenge is well worth the $15 tag right now. I've played the heck out of that game since I got it.

What's going to happen to the Metroid Gamecube Bundle if its no longer in the system, does this mean that $100 is the price now even though I heard many people were getting it for half that price? :(

no one ever got them half price unless it was some time ago, since they have showed up as not in the system for quite some time. My store has three of them, but unfortunately there is almost no chance of them giving u hardware for half the price.

They were on sale and people were picking them up for $49.99 but that was a good 2 years ago maybe? Anyway you are going to have a hard time getting them cheaper as the employees are away of what the system sells for. Games on the other hand change a lot and they arent up to speed all the time.

Well there goes my best choice for picking up a cheap Gamecube, oh well I guess I'll just have to wait for the Revolution so my brother will give me his GCN when he gets the Revolution! :(

$100 bundled with a game/s and extra junk isn't cheap enough?!

Anyways, I scanned Burnout Revenge on xbox and it was $15. Ninja Gaiden Black is still $15 as well. Killzone was $9.99.

Ah, yes, that was a wonderful deal -- I wound up with a DoubleDash bundle for $50 last Christmas (the system at the Sears near me showed 1 of the Metroid bundles in stock for $50, but they couldn't find it -- a VERY helpful manager offered to sub the DoubleDash bundle for the same price, which I quickly accepted).

I just got back from my Sears and they had just put out 3 Taiko Drummaster sets, I picked one up for $4.97. If anyone needs em pm me.

I wonder if that means if they lowered prices on more games as of yesterday or today. If the mall wasn't closed, I would go back and rescan my printouts.
